  • I was thinking, impressive bandsaw work, but the belt sander is no doubt more suitable for that. But it's tempting to jsut try to mate two jagged pieces on the bandsaw, with a finer blade, just to see if it can be done.

    @matthiaswandel@matthiaswandel5 жыл бұрын
    • You could probably tune up your bandsaw better than I can. It would be cool if it could be done, then this would officially be a limited tools project.

    • @@Jer_Schmidt You got Matthias Wandel to comment on your wood working video... life goals

      @presbarkeep@presbarkeep5 жыл бұрын
    • Matthias, I've had good luck with mating part cutting on my bandsaw; however, some of these cuts require sharp turns that you can't get with a bandsaw blade without taking out material from one side of the line which would end up ruining the mating piece. Also, those fine details wouldn't lock together due to the width of the kerf...even with a fine blade. A scrollsaw with a very fine blade would work, but obviously can't be used with pieces this thick. All of this said, I'm almost shocked that it was possible to get all of these pieces fit together this well with the fine details. Jeremy, you nailed it!
