  • No one wants to watch traditional Hollywood talk shows like Fallon anymore. They want to see podcast style, real conversations with these actors to connect to them as human beings, as artists, rather than the plastic title of "celebrity". This is why this show is so good

    • Honestly when talk shows like Fallon or Colbert do their interviews and they try to add in a little game or twist to try to compare to hot ones, it just feels disingenuous and overly productized. It either feels overly made and rehearsed or it just feels like an opportunity for one of them to do or say something weird or cookie just for ratings. Hot ones breaks all of those molds by truly breaking down the psyche of the interviewee, truly making them feel like a regular person just having a conversation over wings, all while the wings do their job and take away their inhibitions or filters

  • It’s really nice to see this side of Jacob. Hearing him talk about empathy and being open-minded just made him really loveable to me. Sean gives the best interviews. He makes even the most awkward celebrity come out of their shell and let their personality shine through. That takes talent.

    • He does a great job! Strangely enough, as an Australian - from the same city as Jacob - I can hear a fairly subtle American "twang" coming through fairly consistently throughout the interview. It's bound to happen when you're living in the country and playing American characters, but I wouldn't be surprised if he sounds very different in five years time.

  • This youth definitely proved his acting chops in Euphoria. His performance was one of the more compelling things about the show. That scene where he tried to fight his father and ended up convulsing on the floor alone was award-worthy. From his interviews, he's also quite insightful, self aware, and soulful for someone so young. He's got a long way to go in Hollywood.

  • This show has made me realise how much actors on the whole actually love their craft, I was actually very ignorant based on years of seeing standard interviewers ask standard questions, I just thought actors kind of just got into acting and didn’t really appreciate it but people like Sean actually ask insightful questions that lead to insightful answers.

  • I think my favorite thing about Sean is how he makes sure to hit different aspects of each guests' lives. I'm sure a lot of them feel type-casted and it's refreshing for them when Sean asks about more than just the one "big" thing they're known for that they get asked about in every other interview.
