However, this tournament right here sparked his passion and gave him the confidence needed to compete and win a grand slam once again! Roger won the US OPEN a few weeks after this beating Andy Murray in the final.

  • Roger and Stan put together is the beauty and the beast of tennis. Federer just makes it look so simple and fluid, and Wawrinka has a flawless brutality. Both of them at their best are nearly unstoppable.

I think Federer said once hes only regret in his career is that he didnt played fully focused for bronze in Athen 2004 because he was so disapointent to lose the semis. • It is unfortunate that Olympic tennis finals, both singles and doubles, are no longer played in the best of five sets. An event that is held every 4 years and they are not able to make this exception?? Really, taking into account that all ATP tournaments (discarding the GS) and team competitions are played to 3 sets.

    • In doubles, the team gets to decide which of the two players serves first. The partner of the first server will serve the next time that team is up to serve, and the rotation continues in that order until the end of the set. So they reset and start over at the beginning of each set.
