Like carefully putting the dragon beard candy carefully on a mannequin head to mimic a wig (maybe even make the mannequin head a cake!) Then add "extensions" (dragons beard candy), hair clips made from candies/royal icing and cut some of the hair with scissors! Makeup for the edible mannequin head could be: cocoa powder for bronzer/contour, freeze dried strawberries which are crushed finely as blush as well as other finely crushed dried fruits as eyeshadows, coloured white chocolate ganache as lipstick, black sprinkles stuck to thin lines of black liquorice as fake lashes, edible markers as eyeliner and lustre dust as highlighter and eye glitters.

    • I'm a South Asian myself and I gotta say, while they both have similarities. I haven't tried the Chinese version, but I have had the Turkish version, which I believe might be the closest in texture. (pulled cotton candy pretty much) the two tastes and textures aren't quite the same. Soan Papdi is a bit more coarse and straw like, with a slight crunch before it melts away in your mouth. whereas Pismaniye (the Turkish version of pulled cotton candy) is the texture of faux fur, softer and fluffier and typically has much finer strands. It also melts away INSTANTLY without the need to bite anything (unless you get a bad brand with sharp shards of sugar in it) The taste of Soan Papdi is like that of a crumbly butter biscuit (for me at least) and Pismaniye tastes more nutty and lighter. I think I prefer Pismaniye personally. I recommend you try it if/when you can! It's amazing! No hate to Soan Papdi, but I've been converted once I had tried Pismaniye. I find that the coarse texture of Soan Papdi is quite sharp and stabby, very easy to get pricked in the mouth by it if it's not eaten carefully, and Pismaniye (often times) is like a cloud. The flavour is also lighter than Soan Papdi, which the funny thing is, while they're both pulled sugars, I find Pismaniye less sweet and Soan Papdi overly sweet. (Not sure why.....) Maybe the choice of dry ingredients mixed in determine how the sweetness level will turn out???
