  • Yeah it does kinda look like one of the space ships off the old arcade SPACE INVADERS . Very cool great work again. I wanna see thrust vectoring on it 😀

  • To fly without a tail, it will need a drag-rudder. If you design one, I will totally buy this kit because I have wanted to try a drag-rudder, tailless model, even if it sucks on small scale (don't know if it does or not)

    • I have the real thing! It's called a Mitchell Wing which came in various configurations. No license needed to fly it here in the United States. Chuck Yeager was one of the test pilots! It's hard to image the first man to break the sound barrier test flying an ultralight but he was a friend of the designer who once worked at the Skunk Works. The drag rudders are independent on the rudder pedals. Push right to drag you around right, left to go left and both at once to work as drag brakes to land shorter.

  • The AFB a short flight from Nellis AFB is Area 51. Finally acknowledged by our government in 2013. I worked there in the early 80s. Where all the future aircraft live that you have not seen yet! Never got to see the Roswell Martians. Neato EDF no doubt. Great work and video!

  • Hello Kyle, loved the latest X 36 video on KZhead. I have been watching your videos for some months and find them quite enjoyable. Love, the J 10 and V2 videos! In the X 36 video, you talked about difficulty tracking the gray plane in the fading light. I don’t know if there are FAA regulations against this, but could you put LEDs on the body so you could better track orientation and location in the fading light? Maybe a button cell or wired to the mains. I used to fly inexpensive quad copters, and they have orientation lights out of the box, so…

    • It was fine seeing the plane, the issue was seeing the little vertical tail when I was looking into the sunset area. I stopped flying before I got dark

  • ❤I really appreciate your content! Lots of attention to detail. I wish you would include the option of installing a pusher motor configuration. Also invest a little more in technology and, for example, equip your models with a Speedybee mini FC [40.-] and the option of a 14.19 o20mm cam in the nose (extra nose files if necessary). That would be perfect. Please don't take this as criticism, but as inspiration ;)

    • I would lobe to build some Modells, only things that hold me up are: - not muche time to work around to geht FC + fpv Cam+ ggf Ventholes in it [space / Cutting in perfekt designed Prints], - expansive edf buying (I ve so much quad motors at the workbench..) - too much Modells I would print and less free time 😂

    • @@hotlapkyle no, this is my first gripe, and I've watched almost every video and loved the flying... But I did frequently wish you'd look down just a liiiiitttlle more so we could see battery changes and speed readings because all that shows is the ground or the picnic bench and some of the tail of the plane. I'm just trying to give a bit of constructive criticism from a fan who loves your planes and flight videos

    • @@bobjoatmon1993 funny thing was on my 3rd battery I forgot to take the wide angle off and you couldn’t see the plane during the flight. I’m only bunstin chops. It’s hard to crank my neck down and see with my eyes what I’m doing when I point the camera down. I need to put the cam in wide view when I work on the bench 👍🏻👍🏻

    • @@hotlapkyle I hear yah. Oh, I mentioned the FanJet 600 as a potential model choice... But there's another that's right up your alley for delta planes that might do well converted from a Prop pusher design to 3D printing and an EDF and 3D printing, that's a "ZOHD MKIII Series FPV Wing Alpha Strike 900g 620mm RC Airplane - KIT" because it's a fast flyer and has a roomy equipment bay

  • Would like to see this plane actually fly without a rudder but I doubt it can without active yaw control. The full size X-36 which is actually a 28% scale model of a full size fighter version used for control; a canard forward of the wing was used as well as split ailerons and an advanced thrust vectoring nozzle for directional control. The X-36 was unstable in both pitch and yaw axes, so an advanced digital fly-by-wire control system was used to provide stability.
