Let's keep it simple here. This video is about the Fast 2K Deck Post Anchor Foam. In short, we like it. Not sure if we would go so far as to use it for structural endeavors but we certainly seem to have found a use for it with mail box setting.

Works very well!
Agree. Has its applications and saves your back for small jobs.
Good review. Thanks
Cheers
How much weight do you recommend as max? I’m putting a retractable hose reel on 4’x4’ post
Online results says their "backfill" product has lateral load of 500lbs according to google. However this product spec sheet on their website says it simply repalces 50-80lb bags of concrete. My gut tells me it will do supremely well, if the hole is dig deep enough. 18"-24". Let me know how it turns out.
ty!
Any time!
Once cured, could you shape it with a sawzall or a rotary tool like a dremel or a pneumatic grinder?
You definitely could use a sawzall or even a sander to knock it back and begin to shape it. I would use dust collection and probably wear a mask for grinder/ sander use just to be safe, but in general it seems as though it would shape pretty easily post-cure.
Hey Kenneth did you ever give the carving a try?
@@JeffEstesBuilds Not yet… I’ve been up to my eyes in plumbing issues… sometimes I wonder if I’m ever going to get to do something just for fun again. Having said that, I can envision using such a method to make a hard to find repair part.
@@thatfeeble-mindedboy I know the feeling all too well. I will be doing a silicone mold video in the future for small parts, I'll let ya know when it drops.
I've found polyurethane foam to shrink with time leaving posts loose. Probably good for some applications, not so great for other.
Interesting! I will be interested to see if there is a call back on this mailbox. Hopefully not, but if so the good news is it should be a fairly "light" affair to swap it out and set it in concrete.
I can see this being great for wooden posts. Twice the price of concrete is gonna put people off, obviously job specific.
Definitely gets pricey for loads of post setting, but you are correct, job specific, works out great!
Twice the price but half the labor. For a couple bag job this comes in very competitive.
@@Dan-oz4qb Yep. On the fly, I also think this is great to keep in the pack out bag or work vehicle for emergencies
6” 36 deep or 8” 36 deep For 4/4
Until we hit bedrock 😢
DECK POST, and you are talking how great is for mailbox post??..was hoping to learn more, how structural good this product is if I used to a.."DECK POST"
I will let you know if I use it for a Deck Post Krum. Personally I still pour footers for my deck projects but I suppose on a personal one I could try it out and do a follow up video.
“Fast2K Deck Post Anchor” is the actual name of the product. He’s not misleading you with the video title. There’s also Fast2K fence post mix as well.
