  • Great video comparison of LingoPie and Babbel language learning apps. Eduardo has always been a Rocket Man, but LingoPie sounds like a very unique and interesting learning style. Eduardo is thinking about giving LingoPie a shot at helping to improve his Ukrainian. Thanks TPI!!

  • I want to learn Spanish because I’m a medical professional and being able to communicate with ALL of my patients is very important to me. I definitely like the structure and lesson plan/path that you mentioned. I think a good structured foundation is really important and should not be overlooked or underestimated. Also, I stand by my original statement that LingoPie is definitely something that could be used as a supplemental tool, but definitely not something you should really on soley, but I can definitely see where it help with listening comprehension, but not much else

  • Truthfully the most native sounding and fluent people I have met with the widest vocabulary and most natural sounding use of the language are people who learned from watching a lot of tv. Some solely learned the language that way. However, for me personally I like structure and sense of accomplishment in traditional language learning. Plus, i get frustrated with turning on the tv and understanding nothing. If you can get through the frustration, I think the watching path is the most effective. But if you need motivation and the sense of control with progressive learning then go the traditional route. The main thing is finding something you can stick with.

    • I think learning a language by watching TV and movies really only becomes an option if you already have some knowledge about the language so you understand what's going on.
