    • coming from princess especially when he said " they probably are going to edit this out" tells me that he is real about what he is saying. that's what I kept thinking that there is more to that industry than meets the eye. Now him along with Michael Jackson two of the worlds greatest entertainers are dead now. it is a disgrace and a shame that people's lives have to end that way. May they rest in peace and I believe the industry will suffer for all their evil they do.

    • Yeah but how much of this is actually true and not just a bunch of narcissistic artists who were bad with money and spent it all or maybe they made a bad deal? I don't see how that's our problem with the way people like prince always bring it up. Dude is highly egotistical, makes me think he doesn't like it being done to him yet he'll do it to others sorta like Micheal did with Sony but held his ownership of other artists music over their head and profited from it.

  • I wanna say something real quick. The media, Hollywood, And the Music industry all have something in common. Power and Money. Every time someone tries to expose Hollywood, The media makes them look crazy, they die, or get incarcerated (sent to prison). Prince was trying to say this 30 years ago but nobody listen. They thought he was crazy because of the drugs. The industry put him on drugs, but that’s my take.

  • I so hold Prince for the principles that he STOOD on when it came to producing concerts that regular people could afford to attend and enjoy. And he was a great spokesperson and example for artists being and remaining either independent or creating their own companies and spaces. He's bringing us back to what we had in the past with the Chitlin Circuit and MoTown etc. Peace.

  • People always think of Arsenio as the "woof, woof, woof" arm pump caricature, but this clip shows that he was a gifted interviewer. He asked a deep question, then sat there and listened intently as Prince answered. He didn't interrupt like so many other talk show hosts trying to get a laugh; he listened PERIOD. Sure, they were longtime friends, but AH's skills are why Prince allowed AH to interview him several times when he declined so many others. I don't think people give AH enough credit for the work he did.

Yes occasionally Arsenio could take lighthearted jabs at the white black thing . Yet as far as prejudice and discrimination is concerned , Arsenio who grew up in Ohio said that he never experienced it .
