Sadhguru is a yogi and a mystic, a man whose passion spills into everything he encounters. Named one of India's 50 most influential people.

  • This man changed my entire mental construct. I am of Muslim Faith, and I partly agree so strongly with what he said regarding religion. The problem is, people run to religion to soothe their pain, but don’t pursue wisdom to understand it’s from themselves to begin with.

    • His fake compassion fits very well into religions doctrine so thats not surprising, so theres still a long way to walk fro religion to Sadguru and then to thruth. Sadguru is dangerous and he spreads fear just like religions. He's like his own little religions and i understand that people find comfort i that, but this guy is like a McDonalds Guru. He has some lessons to give and for some they may have been usefull, but he isnt or at least to my long research, he isnt who he says he is. He does not respect sentient life, he does not respect your life nor mine. Hes a sly little snake but if you want, take his lessons and to good things out of them. Just dont listen to the fearmongering shit he is putting put there. Theres alot of it. Its like one would prefer Walter McCorrisken over Shakespeare. I guess some do.

They don't even bother to sit and think this trough, to investigate and learn more about the topic they so easily discard, they just talk shit. I tried to convince my friends for years to change, not to become spiritual, but to be better people, to think more openly and freely, to feel more and care more, but it was so pointless, I just lost a lot of time and energy. Maybe your friends are different, but pay close attention, if you see that they don't change, or that they change very slowly, I would consider leaving them. New amazing people will show up in your life, but that can happen only when you leave old friends. Hope this helps bro, much love!

I believe he was trying to ease Sadhguru into conversation by making jokes that typically work quite well as ice-breakers in Norway. That being said, I find it unprofessional of him to not consider differences in culture. What is funny and likeable in one culture could be rude in another, and I think it's the interviewer's job to be aware of that and adjust accordingly.

I've watched countless Sadghuru interviews where the hosts questions and comments don't get to the point nearly as fast. Even adding some humour. Also proud of Norway that we have two women on the panel who were allowed to interrupt and speak from the heart, because they spoke for all those who shared the doubts, and set him up beautifully for his explanation. And Tormund just look at him in awe the whole time (hahaha) and coming in with the perfectly timed reply. Even the crowd behavior was wonderful. And it was all done in 10 minues. Exceptional!

    • @@yellostallion nah. His teachings are based on Hindu/Vedic metaphysics around which Hindu temple, yoga and tantra traditions were built. Hindu/Vedic metaphysics can be validated by logic, double slit quantum experiment and embodied experience (focus and meditation). Sadhguru does not want to lose his global audience from different religious backgrounds. So, he usually tries to de-link yoga from Hindu tradition. This is a bad idea because it could lead to "paganization" of Hindu tradition without understanding the metaphysics part of it. It also means, both knowledge and experience are important in Hindu tradition. Yes, knowledge without experience is like a barren land but experience without knowledge is like a blind man. eg Buddhists - despite giving importance to experience wrongly conclude Nirvana. There are different yoga pathways in Hindu tradition (Not just meditation pathway) practiced in different contexts but the outcome is the same. Not everyone has to go for the meditation pathway if one understand the Vedic metaphysics behind all yoga pathways.
