I really don't know why but, going into the levurkusen game as underdogs really really stands out to me, they are going to lose eventually who said west ham would beat Sevilla, but we did I fancy us keep it tight at the away leg and bring them back home and we have a good go at them

they were lucky to beat Qarabag in extra time, they played well of course but no doubt it was shaky and desperate. They didn't win with ease and I expect we'll definitely give them a run for their money no matter the result

Fair play.. looks like you have finally processed the Newcastle situation, in an honest way. I prefer these slightly longer pressers; feels like he can get more off his chest so the next time he talks he doesn't seem hung up on things. I didn't want him to brush over the Newcastle situation. Also, David, on a more technical one, you're right, I said it from day one that Edson needed to undertake an adaption process, there are people who see one solid tackle and get exited and it is very different playing for Ajax in the Eredivise to the intensity of the PL; but he has definitely done the necessary to do so (adapt). Look back at that Everton game, he was the one galloping forward in the 90th minute in one of the most intense games all season, so he has definitely adapted. I think he will be one of the ones who after a whole pre-season will be outstanding from day one. I noticed it with Emerson this year. All the pre-season videos he looked like he was working incredibly hard and I feel like it has reflected massively all season. Last one, I would be interested to see if Eddie's yellow cards lessen now, with the composition of that midfield. I feel like Paqueta's work rate and defensive contribution may mean there are fewer times Eddy is stretched. Fair interview 👍On to Wolves. COYI

Another HUGE game for us tomorrow, at this stage of the season you're effectively playing for 6 points per game not 3 because tomorrow's game for example could be the difference between Wolves going a point or two above us or us extending our lead over them to 4 or 5 points so it's absolutely critical that we win tomorrow especially when you also consider the fact that all the teams around us and below us have at least 1 game in hand over us, we really can't afford many more slip ups because otherwise we could end up right down in 12th or 13th which isn't really a fair reflection of our season at all so it's vital that we win these games against the teams around us and tbh if we play like we did vs Spurs again tomorrow then I'm confident that we will win #COYI ⚒️⚒️⚒️

He is slating Alvarez for making rash challenges! He has to mop up for jwp and souchek who get nowhere near the play ! Moyes is useless like Philips who was his pic btw
I agree. It's never situations where he looks like he is in the wrong for making the challenges and it's always close. Aggressive (which I wouldn't have any other way) but close. I think Paqueta in the middle will add a bit of bite in there and the workload will start becoming distributed more evenly. I think his physicality and work rate in there will make the difference in a lot of those situations. Always small margins. There was an argument for it being an adaption process at the beginning (which I agree with because playing in the Eredivisie for Ajax is very different to the Prem) but I think that Everton game where he was the one bursting through at 90 minutes shows he's more than adapted. He also presses and wins the ball much higher up now, as well. I think there has to be a period where you look at the composition of the midfield since Edson has proved he can impact high-intensity games as late as the 90+ minute mark.
He is not slating Alvarez. Give the man a break FFS.

Letting 2 players leave in January and only bringing in an unfit cdm who effectively hasn’t played for a year has left us with an even thinner squad than we started with no good him moaning about it now.

Moyes is the most successful manager of West ham in the last 30 yrs.. 6th and 7th epl finishes, currently 7th European football 3 yrs in a row. A trophy for God's sake... This season alone, we've beaten spurs, Chelsea, aresnal and man u... Quarter final in Europa League. Much vaunted DE Zerbi and champagne football Brighton are out of Europe and below us in the table. This guy has done an incredible job and the Moyes haters need to get real ... Where were west ham before he came.. a yo yo club.
