He was the wrong appointment , telling united players who had just won the premier league , to defend like jagielka did at Everton , with hindsight he was too defensive , turning a title winning team into 7th and no European football wasnt what the club expected, but he has had a great career in football , was happy for him when he won in Europe last season , but he got a massive pay off for the experience and hes is still in work . Likeable guy hope he too finishes this season strong .
In Moyes's defence it was possibly the poorest United side to win the title and realistically needed radical surgery. Moyes thought he would get longer to evaluate the playing staff.

His appointment never made sense. You were asking someone who had won nothing to be respected by a squad of serial winners. Moyes never had the aura to succeed Ferguson. Van Gaal came in and strode about as someone who expected to be United manager. Van Gaal was a serial winner and wasn't afraid to grasp the nettles that needed grasping in overhauling the squad. His signings were poor but at least he tried move United on from the Ferguson era. Moyes was like a kid who couldn't quite believe he had gotten the keys to the sweet shop after hours. Far too deferential towards Ferguson.
yeah Fergie's one big mistake at United was choosing this guy.
What has aura got to do with it. What aura did an ex Aberdeen manager have went he went from a small club to one of the worlds largest. The players, the club, and the supporters treated him like dirt, he deserved a chance, and he never got one.

He shouldn't have gotten rid of the backroom. He should have also known having managed teams against us,we needed a midfield and a younger striker. He chased Everton players, just wrong guy at the time. Did well at Everton, but it wasn't right for United.
@@athlone1975 and how do you become a winner by managing Everton. Fergusson won nothing with east Stirling, or st mirren before going to Aberdeen. But he improved both clubs before leaving, just as Moyes did at Everton. He kept them in the top half of the premier league for 11 consecutive years, I reckon that’s impressive. I doubt if van Gaal could have done any better.
this guy removed all the backroom stuff which SAF asked him to keep. and goes blaming drastic changing causing his failure. he should have stuck with what works instead of bring his sub-par everton coaches and tries to be first-class. what a shame.
What right had SAF to make such a request, (if he did) and how stupid are you to think that any manager should accept someone else’s back room staff. Moyes was treated like crap, and comments like yours only underline this. Show me one manager who simply accepts the existing back room staff, leaving his old team out in the cold.
