I am fortunate that gambling addictions have not entered my circle of family and friends, but I know that such an addiction is not really about the money at all. The many comments on other videos complaining that footballers are highly paid so why do they need to gamble just miss the point of addiction. Great job Coach as always. Just wish the journalists had a microphone to pass around. The second to last person was barely audible on full volume. using an excellent Sony speaker and held it next to my ear and still it was a strain. With the amount of people who watch each presser, it just seems like it would drastically improve the experience. Also it would add context for those who cant blast it and have to guess the inquiry that was asked

There s something to this. There isn't a player at the club who would happily sacrifice their starting spot, for a rest. Obviously it's up to Eddie at the end of the day, and as far as I'm concerned, the rotation was enough before the injuries hit.

Eddie seems to be pinning the blame entirely on Botman over his knee. He was the one playing him for another 2 games after the initial injury. He made the decision to play him week in week out when he was clearly not fit
He's not trying to pin anything on him. It was Botmans decision not to get the surgery. The club can't force him to get it.
We know how strict the football authorities are on gambling and yet gambling companies have been allowed to be sponsors for years. Sky Sports are one of the biggest Beneficiaries from gambling adverts and yet….🙈🙉🙊. Re Botman. Any employee cannot be legally forced to have an op even if they are advised to have an op its down to the potential patient and when you do choose to have an op you are advised of the dangers of going under the knife . Nothing is clear cut…no pun intended.

I think this is where Eddie probably realises he has the most to learn. He's a highly regarded coach and this is down to his training schedules. This is the first time in his career that he hasn't had a full week in between games, and I think he will improve next time. would love for us to qualify for Europe so he can implement what he's learned this season.

Man Utd away in the cup proved the squad was good enough. Eddie insisted playing the same 11 for months. Thats why we have injuries. Klopp has as many top players out and plays the squad,some of which are kids.

We went to a specialist and got conflicting reports? Does that mean the specialist told hum something and the medical staff told him something else? And then he listened to his own medical staff and the player who wanted to continue playing now look at us. Are all these injuries just bad luck or is it something to do with the medical staff 🤷🏻♂️

To trust a guy who says "I feel good and I'm ready" and has been the model of consistency since arriving... He admits mistakes, but nobody should be blamed just because we want someone to blame. Full investigation into things at the end of season as we've had such serious issues, but it's no one person at fault for this one.
As Eddie has highlighted, you can't FORCE a player to have surgery. If Sven has been saying that his knee was stronger and felt good through rest then what else can the management team do? You can't pin the lad down and force him under the knife man!!! Sven made an error, he has to pay for the consequence of that, i.e surgery! Personally I wouldn't blame Howe for what happened, this is really down to Sven not listening to his body!
