The story of the BMW M3, one of the most iconic german cars to ever come out of Germany ever.
The E30 M3 was developed to compete with Mercedes in DTM and became one of the most collectable cars in the world. The E36 M3 brought the M3 into the luxury market and the E46 M3 solidified the M3 as one of the best sports cars ever.

  • One small correction: The V8 Coupe was always the E92, the sedan was always the E90 and the Vert was the E93.

  • Slight correction- The E92 was not a refresh of the E90... The E90 was the 4 door, the E91 was the wagon, the E92 was the coupe, and the E93 was the convertible. The M3's availability in each body style changed per year (but it was never available as an E91 wagon) but it stayed pretty consistent throughout the run, aside from some tweaks to the iDrive system.

    • Yes!!! This is important to the story because it caused the split in model name, it's again so German that they have to change the model name based on what the engineers part numbers were for the chassis. E92 was actually the first 4 series

  • I’ve been watching this channel since I started riding motorcycles 2 years ago. I’ve grown as a rider, just as Donut has grown as a channel. I‘ve learned so much and been entertained greatly.     • @@Eagle_Beak Modern rally cars are nothing like old school rally cars. It used to be that a company built a car for rally, then made a street legal version. Now, they just take a model that already exists and mod the shit out of it until it's barely recognisable as the original car. Therefore, they don't really count anymore

  • Great video! One minor thing, E90 is the sedan, E92 is the Coupe (also E91 is the wagon) the facelift does not affect the number, it's just a facelift or LCI as they call it.

  • My brother used to have an old 3 series and that thing was so fun. It went through 4 radiators until we realized the head was cracked but it was a drifting sled in the THICC Michigan snow. RIP to a great car.

  • I had a Z3M convertible in Azure Blue that was a blast to drive. Problem is they didn't upgrade the welds, or some of the frame work to handle the boost in horsepower compared to the standard Z3. I lucked out and my welds lasted. The guy I sold it to can worry about that.

  • E90 - sedan E91 - wagon E92 - coupe E93 - convertible There is no E92 M3 sedan.
