Today is a very important lesson at the Orangutan Jungle School: teaching young orangutans to fear snakes. It involves a prop, a fake treat, and a lot of acting skill by the human minders.

    • @Estate Sake I get what youre trying to say but its better than the money being spent on Weapons or something worse. I come from a poor country as well, Id much rather the money be spent on these animals. and I hope some money is being spent on taking care of the children

    • @Estate Sake BOS has a video explaining that they need the help of the local community so they employ the locals there for planting of trees, taking care of the orangutans and creating a local economy around the sanctuary because they know that poverty is the reason why orangutans are killed and their habitat destroyed. BOS cannot help the other poor locals living in other areas but at least, working with them in Borneo dissipates the locals resentment towards the Westerners fascination with helping animals but not the people in the area.

Actually I thought there was just one orangutan that came down when the tree fell and it landed safely. But a second or two later it was obvious there were several, too many safety seekers for the old tree to hold.
