I genuinely love Exo with 50.9 hours now, but yeah i think exo is pretty much the death knell for Dino Crisis and that makes me sad. I also dont agree with you about it being online only as bad, i get it you clearly arnt very social but there are more and more single player games and i have a group of mates who love this pvp game. I do still hope for a dino crisis remake in the future though but its a dim hope
Suzie, you never, ever need to apologize for not being able to upload. Especially for your health, physical, or mental! You got, I'm sure many will agree, you have us for the long haul. Keep up the great work! And upload it when you can. We will wait. 😊
Thank you so much for making this video. I 1000% agree with you about Dino Crisis 2, and I wish Capcom would redo DC 1&2 or remake them RE1 style. Not to sound like Encanto... but! We don't talk Dino Crisis 3😂
@@coragin21
imagine me when no booba.
A franchise in desperate need of a RE-style reboot
I’d give a piece of my soul to make that happen
i'd pay the devils toll to play it
I need this to happen.😭
Capcom: “Are you sure you want a DC remake seri-“ Me “SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!!!!!!!”
Only if they do it like the RE1 remake. I would die inside if they turned it into an over-the-shoulder shooter like the RE2 and RE3 remakes
My favorite Capcom game as a child, I'm still waiting for a remake
Same! I love this game so much, used to play it a lot
My second favorite after og RE3. I actually came back to Dino Crisis 2 recently and damn I was getting my ass handed to me, don't know how child me could run the entire game without any damage taken
Same here!
I'm so glad Suzy has the power to bring all the DC2 fans into the spotlight which they deserve!

Nostalgia hits hard ... i guess if we live long enough Capcom will eventually run out of RE's to Remake and do a Dinocrisis one
(2028 Capcom announces ExoPrimal reboot instead. 😫)
@@JohnnyBurnesthe timeline went horribly wrong there my man

@@JohnnyBurnes& the Resident Evil RE-remake
Well apparently one of the recent Samurai games was initially a Tenchu remake/reboot - guess there were too many "Japanese style soulslikes" to do an Onimusha remake and dinos aren't the flavour of this console generation :(
Damn this game had such a vibe. The sounds and atmosphere of the jungle, the roars of dinosaurs in the distance. The little particle effects dancing on screen. Sometimes as a kid i would just leave the game on so I could have the jungle sounds on as background noise. Also who can forgot the awesome credit scenes of CG dinos living out their best lives. One of my favorites.
Dinosaur ASMR.
The GOAT of dinosaur games. I really hope it gets a remake at some point.
This one and RE3 had such increible vibes that not even most games nowadays dont have
Bleeding and having giant mosquitos hunt you because of it is one of my fondest memories of DC2.
Here's why Dino Colosseum is still the best of it's kind, you can play as dinosaurs. Once you unlock every human and the tank the dinos are available to purchase and play This game brings so many good memories, still my favorite ps1 game
With Triceratops and Compys only available after completing the game on Hard.
I used to play it first on PC in 2005 but anyway it was cool
Publishers should be legally obligated to release the game code publicly when they decide to shutdown online games, that way the community can keep them alive. I mean they wont make any more money out them anyway
That, as well as the full source code and assets for any game that is effectively/realistically no longer legally playable. Dino Crisis, unless it's available somewhere I'm not aware of, was last playable on PS3. Which is no longer produced. I don't know how it would work exactly, but my pie in the sky ideal would be something like copyright for video games expiring 10 years after it is no longer actively produced and sold by its publisher, and that patent can only be renewed by re-releasing it. If you're not going to use the property, you should lose it.
@@shakeNbake91586 This, but expanded in general to ALL claims to copyright/drm/online requirement/whatever of ANYTHING software/hardware related. Take that ten years, carve it down to one year after cessation of manufacture/1st-party availability of sale. Phones, game consoles, portables, IoT trinkets, whatever: if a company is done with it, so too should their control of it. Between abuse of ancient software and copyright law, these companies have been twisting the knife on loopholes to abuse consumers into purchases of products they will never have any "legal" right to keeping AND somehow not being owed a refund when their product is altered, stripped of feature/function, or flat-out killed. How this and adjacent efforts like "right to repair" are so difficult to get recognized as blatant anti-consumer crap will never not be maddening to me.
@@shakeNbake91586Copyright should expire after like 20 years anyway. The only reason it lasts as long as it does is because of Disney paying lawmakers to keep extending it.
In the meantime, PIRATE!

Weird that both Parasite Eve and Dino Crisis made such radical changes between their first and second entry into the franchise.
Yeah Parasite Eve 2 leaned too hard into its RE half
That era and Ps2 was wild for experimentation unlike today we're everything is homogeneous
Also the same to Zone of The Enders. First Game was kinda meh but had a good starters. But the Second Game where everything is cranked to the Max about Mecha Actions.
@@Plasmacat1 well, creating games has never been so seamless considering most use the same engine UE or Unity even for triple A games. It used to be so hard since everyone had to code the whole engine just for an IP.
Parasite Eve 1 was so great. I was gutted with how they changed PE2. I wanted them to simply elevate the ideas brought into PE1. It was really something special. However sometimes dev costs and the fear of the flop takes over creative vision.
Michael Chrichton's The Lost World novel has a special place in my heart. It was the first book in English that I read from front to cover. Same goes for DC2, I remember spending my Saturday mornings shooting velociraptors. And also playing videogames.
Exoprimal looked so cool and I love coop shooters especially with classes. I didn't realize it was going to be a PvPvE game. even if you pick the "PVE" mode its not actually pve, you still compete at the last round and the enemies can attack you through controlling the dinos. I just want a pve shooter. I'll buy it if they actually add a true pve mode that is 5 players and has nothing to do with an opposing team. Until then I have plenty of other games to play.
I love Dino Crisis 1 and 2, they're both different types of games but the trajectory is like Alien to Aliens. Also Regina was my first "crush" lol
Its a really good comparison for the different styles of game.
@@habadasheryjones I second that, never made that connection myself
I have played this game for 2 decades and still didn't know there's a dodge feature... mind blown. This game is brilliant, definitely my favorite Capcom title of all time.
Took me years too. I think I've finished this well over 15 times, i don't get hiperfocused on something so easily.
This is the first I'm hearing about it..
Same 😂
Not gonna lie, this is peak voice acting for the PS1 era. They kind of perfected it here lmao
Dino Crisis 2 was one of my childhood games. Loved the run and gun arcade shooting style gameplay, really enjoyed the atmosphere and exploring the destroyed facilities/town. One day I hope Dine Crisis will be rebooted, Its an IP that would be cool to be brought back.
Your original Dino Crisis video was my introduction to this franchise and It honestly so cool. I still crave a Jurassic Park Survival Horror officially but atleast we have this which is close enough. Great Video as always and I love the attention to detail with your research and explanations. Thanks Suzi!
This game was just so fun and the underwater section was scary af.
That part scared me so bad !!
Long necks literally made me shit myself as a kid lmao
Aye I love all underwater levels in games lol.......I agree. If a remake ever comes I hope they expand on it and let you fight more sea dinos!
The underwater section was my favorite when I was a kid. Especially when I finally got ahold of the Aquagrenade. Racking up Mosasaurus combos was the best :D
It's been so long I don't even remember there was underwater level.
the weapons are really satisfying in dinocrisis 2 especially the double uzis. i did miss the more story driven aspects of the first dinocrisis.
Dino Crisis 2 was my favourite game when I was young.
Dino Crisis really does need to come back. It's a shame Capcom doesn't seem interested in it. Exoprimal just feels like they are jingling the keys in front of us, that being said the dinosaur models from that game could be used for a new Dino Crisis. I just hope that when ever they do make a new one or hell a remaster I just hope it's not a disaster.
We don't talk about Dino Crisis 3.
Suzi's videos are the only ones where I don't skip or mute the sponsor ad. She always finds a way to make it fun, and I could listen to her talk about anything any day.

Playied the game in my teens and loved the action and the story. RIP David Falk, the best buddy a man could ever wish to have.
The first game made you feel like you were the prey, being hunted all the time. The second made you feel you were the hunter and did it so well!
0:00 Actually Suzi, I think you’ll find that book is straight up nightmare fuel at points.
Totally agree. Jurassic Park is a rollercoaster ride + chaos
They describe in too much detail how painful and grotesque Nedgrey's death was the movie was for toddlers in comparison
@@kadosho02chaos lol
The book is so much better than the movie. Ian Malcolm makes so many points that are still relevant today, like with CRISPR and other new breakthroughs. Of course, Malcolm is a stand in for Crichton himself. Donald Gennaro was also so much more important and one of the main characters diminished to a bit part in the movie with a cheap humorous death.
@Varizen87 he went T rex hunting with Muldoon and wasn't the stereotype balding middle aged lawyer he was a reasonably fit 30 something. I wish we got that version of him in the movie not to mention Muldoon survives in the book too
Thank you very much for spreading the word of how this game resembles RE4, I remember a while ago people hating on this game because of how it changed the formula of the first one but this game is just so much fun to play, one of my favorite games on the PS1 for sure
From what I understand, Capcom was working on a Dino Crisis game at one point and the thought is that it eventually became Exoprimal.
7:50 god, I played this game so much, optimized my combo paths to such a degree, that just looking at footage of it is making my neuros fire and the exact movement patterns I memorized come back to me.
I still remember every spawn point of every single dinosaur. Efficient farming was my game plan since my first minute into Dino Crisis 2. Obtaining OP weapons early made the game like a walk in the park, a Jurassic Park... I will see myself out.
I am praying for a reboot. The series deserves it.
The series that is so slept on by Capcom. 🥺 I long for a reboot of the Dino Crisis series. Hopefully one day Capcom will realize how much the fans truly miss this series. 🦖
Actually so hyped to see that Onimusha teaser. One of my favourite series growing up, so I'm glad you're covering it!
Its strange how closely Dino Crisis and Parasite Eve mirror each other. A survival horror based original game, followed up with a more action based sequel and a disappointing 3rd game with both of them being forgotten by their developers. It's sad to see because both definitely deserve the remake/remaster treatment
Regina cosplay made my heart smile
Your Dino Crisis 1 video is why I subscribed to your channel, and I'm super glad that I did. Both games are super nostalgic to me, having beaten both games at least 3 or 4 more times. Also, the coliseum mode allows you to play as all of the enemy dinosaurs via unlocking them with your total accumulated points at the end of each playthrough. And it even supports 2 players!
I love looking at how and what games like Resident Evil, Parasite Eve and Dino Crisis did in the sequels. All did something different and all are fun/enjoyable in their own way, even if things didnt always mesh perfectly.
We don't deserve this, you're too good to us Suzi.

I am so excited for you to cover onimusha. It was one of my favorite games from my childhood and it's a shame that it doesn't get as much coverage as other series.
This is the first video I've watched from you, which caused me to go back and watch your review of Dino Crisis 1. You're very well spoken about these games, your voice is really soothing, and I love your personal style! Can't wait to see more from you.
I hope you get well soon!! I finished Dino Crisis 2 just recently and was surprised by how good the game is. The gameplay seemed to me like a progression of resi 3. their goal could have been to give an engine with prerendered backgrounds a more dynamic feel to it. looking forward to your teased game review :)
Capcoms use of exoprimal for dinos should hopefully bring attention back to this series
I'm pretty sure that Exoprimal started out as a new DC, they just kept getting new ideas until it became something else entirely. The same thing happened with Devil May Cry, which started out as the original concept for Resident Evil 4. I just hope we get a remake ala RE2 etc., in the RE engine.
I’d love to see more Survival Horror games centering around Dinosaurs.
Yeah 👍
It works so well together honestly
Make a bunch of great indie horror games about dinos and eventually some AAA developer will steal the idea and make it worse for a game that IGN gives 10/10 to. Then one of the AA knockoffs will actually be good.
Hope your upsetting medical situation isn't persistent for much longer. Great vid as always. Edit: Next vid Onimusha?
Really great hearing your soothing voice again while i work over night helps with the long shift. I loved hearing you going over the whole games lore and history and following up with the others and exoprimal. Hope your health/medical stuff goes better looking forward to the next video much love.
Dino Crisis needs to come back!
I proudly still have my PS1 copy of Dino Crisis 2. I can't express enough how much the save room music, in the midst of a hopeless, isolated horror scenario, had an effect on me as a kid. It was definitely on par with Resident Evil's save room music. Thank you for doing this series justice!
So sorry to hear of the medical issue, Suzie. I love your videos, you do incredible work and are an awesome human being. Wishing you healthy vibes.

So happy to see people talking about this game more often. Had to be my favorite game growing up! Always felt the same way you did about the ending. Although, it bugged me the way the game ended, I loved it too. They definitely make you love Dylan.
Dino Crisis 2 is one of my favorite PS1 games ever, it's so criminally underrated that it makes my head spin! Thanks for covering it Suzi, ya nailed it! 🥂
Underrated lmao
The return of the survival horror queen. And the sequel we were all expectating for a long long time to come. 🔥 Its Finally Here 🔥
A retrospective AND a game review. Thank you very much.
Crichton's Jurassic Park and The Lost World are both really fascinating books. The impact they had on the public's interest in genetics can't be overstated.
Can you imagine if they made a big budget Dino Crisis movie? It would be like Predator with dinosaurs. That’d be dope as fuck.
Welcome back, hope you get well soon. You are one of my all time favourite content creators and the world wouldn't be the same without you
I've always liked Dino Crisis 2 more than 1, it was the first videogame i've ever completed on my own
I love your videos and your love for the RE and Capcom in general is something that reflects on me and on all of the people here !! amazing job of dissecting what makes each game what it is and i love how you manage to get under the skin of the games you cover with an amazing balance between your love for them and what makes these games so unique , on that note id like to ask if it would be ever possible to cover another classic IP Alone in the dark and the similarities Capcom got and use upon the RE franchise through your own eyes ?? lots of love keep up the good work on all the things you doing !!!
Always waiting! Hope what ever it is, you get through stronger.

Dino crisis 2 was my absolute favourite as a kid! Never had a memory card, so always had to play through it from the start- but it never got old. Not once! It's the reason I still own my old ps2.
Ok, that teaser at the end has me hyped for what's to come. Love that franchise and excited to see your vid on it in the future!
It's good to see you back. Hopefully your medical issues get resolved promptly. Also I remember enjoying this game myself for all of it quirkiness and strangeness.
Finally you did this game! I grew up relatively poor so buying games for me were always few and far in between. This is one game I had for a long time and I loved it. It will always share a special place in my heart. I know the story was barely there, but the soundtrack and atmosphere really made me want to be in this world to experience it for myself. Thanks for giving this game your time!
no worry, the newer game feels boring AF, too convoluted, too long or just boring (this comes from AAA games) just play older game and emulate the crap out of them. save states rules!!!
Dino Crisis 2 was my introduction into the "fixed camera resi like" games and i loved it to bits as a kid. Also probably jumpstarted my love for akimbo smgs. Awesome retrospective suzi. really made my evening.
There was a DODGE!?! I played this game SOOO much when I was a kid and NEVER knew there was a dodge. Blew my mind Sphere
Good to hear from you again and sorry to learn you've been having trouble. I only ever got to play the first game, so very interesting to hear about the differences. Would certainly be happy for a new entry and/or remake.
The world needs more of your videos, keep it up.
I’m really hoping Capcom isn’t like using exoprimal to determine whether to make another dinocrisis or not
This upload is a nice timing, since I am currently replaying this game again on my Vita for the last few weeks

Dino Crisis is a great underrated series!
DC3 is right where it belongs in terms of rating but its a shame 1 & 2 are basically forgotten by everyone not versed in classic survival horror.
I loved both dino crisis games because the first one felt like a survival horror because its from the makers of resident evil and the 2nd dino crisis felt like a action adventure with some puzzles.
That ending cutscene got me hyped for you next review. Onimusha, Dino Crisis, Resident Evil; All amazing stuff to discover as a kid. It's amazing how far games have come.

What a BLAST this game is!! I remember my dad buying it for me, in my birthday, back in the day... and we both being blown out of the roof by the visuals, sound, EVERYTHING! It was definitely ahead of its time. It felt like a PS2 game (and even better in some aspects!) I loved the first thrills as Dylan, then BOOM! Super cool music plays and you incarnate Regina! Then all these story bits that felt like a summer blockbuster movie. The pleasure of mastering weapons, upgrades, etc. Wow! Dino Crisis 2 has it all! Even the survival horror aspects in some parts of it (like underwater). I'll definitely play it again in the future (last time I did it was during the pandemic and lockdown). I didn't like Dino Crisis 1 much, but 2 is easily in my Top 20 games of all time. THANKS FOR THIS VIDEO! It was a truly nostalgic journey.
I'd love to have a modern take on the Dino Crisis franchise, and a fresh update of Parasite Eve to go along with it.
Important catch: We either get just Updated PE 1 & 2 OR if they try to go for part 3 again, a Remake is definitely needed compared to what was released.
I was lucky enough to play a bit of DC2 as a kid, that was a blast. Also excited for the Onimusha review, it's a highly underrated franchise that was really fun.
Would love to see a full video for Dino Stalker!
This is the first video i watch of your channel. Pretty good job and narrative timing. Two things make me sad whenever i think about Dino Crisis: 1 - IF, and only IF we get something, it will probably be a DC1 remake and not a DC4 or a DC2 as well (DC2 is my favorite). 2 - That ending. Gets me close to tears everytime.
I remember renting both Dino Crisis 1&2, and playing it on a friend's PlayStation. Intense, wild, brutal, and exciting. Regina is unforgettable. Sigh this series needs to return, and Regina's journey deserves closure Exoprimal 🤦 Capcom. Seriously why?
Glad to see you showing even more love to the Dino Crisis games! Dino Crisis and Resident Evil were two major parts of my childhood so I'm loving the coverage. And I really hope the fallout from your medical emergency resolves itself, stinks to hear you're still dealing with it 2 months out.
Good job as always, Suzi! I love Dino Crisis and have been saying we need a reimagining in the same style as the reimagined RE games.
Combos, the money and the ability to buy weapons and upgraded, made this game on top list for me on PS1.
Suzi, back with another fantastic video! ♥️ I'm glad you're still managing to make high-quality videos from the heart, and I hope you're doing well. Stay safe. And as always, your cosplays are stunning. 👏 I haven't played these games, I don't think I've even heard of them until you made a video about them.
