Marvel's Spider-Man 2 New Game Plus added a ton of fantastic features and quality of life updates, such as time of day toggle, mission replay, no suit lock and much more, however it also has quite a few mistakes. These things we will be talking about in this video.
The Symbiote Surge is broken in New Game Plus, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Suit lenses are bugged alongside the dev menu being accidentally left in the game after the update which leaked Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Future DLC content and finally we still don't have a parry toggle option even though it is in the dev menu to be able to switch between the mechanical arms parry and symbiote parry, also the Spider-Man 3 Raimi Symbiote Suit still has mechanical arms for traversal instead of symbiote tendrils.

Update brought tons of cool things! They even fixed the Stark Suit (Idk if anyone ever noticed as before the suit had missing stitch which made the suit bland) but the lenses for that suit are also buggy. Not only that, Iron-Spider (MCU) suit still has the wrong lenses which I hope they fix soon & some other suits that needs a color revamp namely [Iron-Spider (MCU), Hybrid Suit (MCU), Classic Suit, Advanced Suit 1.0 & New Red and Blue suit (which they can only make the blue part bluer imo] Other than that, Update is lit!
Iove the update but it needs three things spider arms and yellow venom parry, change surge suit and weather
I want suit damaged with other suits during cutscenes it’s kinda odd that they magically heal during cutscenes or when fighting venom he tears ur suit while fighting in the air or when he throws peter
I love the update but what i disliked about it is that i havent seen any symbiote finishers. The only being in surge mode. Like i see Peter use the iron spider arms finishers and SM1 finishers and thats it. Its almost like if they erased the basic symbiote finishers for the surge finishers and jts weird having the black suit all game just to see it use the iron arms for the finishers. Like even in the base storyline you see peter use at least one basic symbiote finisher. I would love if they just added the parry change option and maybe an option to just toggle between iron spider arms finishers and symbiote finishers.
I think they should make a separate menu called like “Surge Suit” where you can only pick symbiote suits as your surge suit when you use the symbiote surge

i think if they do just what you are asking we wont be able to do that because for some reason Tobeys black suit is not treated like a symbiote suit in the game for some reason. You can tell from how it uses the spider arms instead of symbiote in traversal when using spider dash - jump. @@ccelite3782

Add rain. Not overcast. I want to be in the middle of the night, lightning blasting in the background as I cause severe spinal trauma. Also black and white antivenom inverse is the best variation and looks just like a sleek agent venom.

Yes! Like have two suit "Slots" for Peter one is normal and the other is symbiote and let us switch on the fly with the d-pad up button. They could also have this so that you can switch between symbiote and gadget abilities when switching suits this way.
I think the surge mode was done like that so there is no suit that turns you into whatever, and i think it’s the better option, it would be cool if you could select what symbiote suit you turn into, but as of now i think it’s fine and Insomniac should make a statement regarding those odd changes

@@iVoltexYTi don’t doubt it, its a simple feature to add. Plus, there will be dlc to the game and there will be new costumes. All those things are far more complex to do then simple allowing us to choose a suit for surge

Honestly I like that it doesn’t change the suit. I hated when I would play with the classic black suit and it would switch to the normal surge suit. I agreed that I’d be nice to choose what to have as a surge suit. Hopefully they’ll add a surge suit selection. But I hope more suits and suit styles fans want will be added. I’d love more across the Spiderverse suits.

It's annoying when you play with non symbiot suits.
Honestly, I feel like it would be super simple to just implement an option to have a secondary suit for symbiote. Maybe you can just go to the suit you want as your symbiote one and you click square. Then, when you go into surge, or when you wear the symbiote in the story, you change into the secondary suit.
That makes sense, I wonder how easy it would be for them to do it tho
@@iVoltexYT they've already done the majority of the work. Probably, all they need to do is see when in normal gameplay, we are forced to have the symbiote suit and change it to the secondary suit. Then, they can tweak it around a little bit to not be super restrictive, and they're done.

Honestly I would love for there to be like a "Vanity" option in settings which once you click it it's like a minecraft world creation tool Basically once you would click it would look like this: *Time of Day* : Night *Type of Weather* : Heavy Rain *Music* : ACT 3 *Dialogue* : ACT 2 *Symbiote color* : Red *Mechanical arms* : Blue *Peter Parry* : Mechanical Arms *Miles Parry* : Evolved Venom and maybe many more options Which some of them would just be true or false options

You can already change the act music in the audio settings. It's called "overworld music type"
@@CACgaming007 I know, just as you can change the symbiote tendril color and time of day however it would be cool if they would put all of these settings into one place I personally really dislike how they give us those personalisations around the menu After 200 hours of playtime I only then found out about the act music and I had to google where to choose tendril colors just to find out it's at the bottom of settings I just imagined that there will be a triangle button now when you click on the abilities with something like "Change the tendril color"

They should have an option to choose suit lock on or off before starting ng plus. I wanted to replay the story with all upgrades but the cutscenes don’t show suit transformations. For example when the black suit goes on Peter for the first time, he is still in the suit I had on before, and you have to awkwardly change it in the menu after the cutscene. I wish we could choose suit lock on or off as mentioned, or give us an option to choose 3 black suits before starting the game, and those 3 change from first to last depending on the story

Just replayed the good men mission where Pete gets the symbiote and I’m really disappointed to see that the suit stays the same in the cutscene aswell as the surge having the same suit aswell I think it’s kind of ruined the game a little it really breaks the immersion I hope they update that so we can select what symbiote suit we get in the cutscenes and what suit we want to use for surge
Yeah I laughed when I was wearing the Raimi suit and the symbiote just kind of went into his mask and suit lol

Yeah when I parry or do a triangle and circle takedown, it’s the robot arms- with tobeys black suit, but it should be the black tendrils, and the takedown is always using it but obviously the takedowns vary it’s just theirs one with robot arms that breaks my immersion as symbiote Pete

Spider Arm parry, weather change and Surge suits would be great addition to make the game feel complete. like we can recreate Spider-Man 3 with the black raimi suit and normal suit, classic with classic black suit, and obviously the game’s versions.
I actually prefer how symbiote surge works now, being that you can go monstrous with any look. But also, it's completely normal in the original save, just not ng+, which I think makes sense, since you already have both canonical symbiotes from the jump Edit: I also think it leaves more room to eventually have the ability to choose which suit becomes the surge suit

While i was playing the NG+ and I got to the point where Peter gets the symbiote suit for the first time, it was just like a ripple effect on the suit that I was equipped with, tbh I was hoping that it would go over the TASM 2 suit (I was wearing that suit during the cutscene) and give me the symbiote suit but I had to manually change it, so I hope they fix that as well.
I personally love that it's like this rn, being able to do the Surge takedowns with any skin on looks DOPE, when I first saw the classic black suit (first style) doing those I fell in love with this game all over again 😅 HOWEVER, I would LOVE if they add an option in the future to set ANY skin and style I want to be the Surge transformation, that would be my number 1 pick for them to add for SURE, second to that small things like picking the tendrils OR the arms on traversals, takedowns and being able to pick the web I want too (normal web, black symbiont and add a while symbiont one)
I wish they would include the maguire black as a venom suit sence it is, it would make dashing in mid air better bc u could use the tendrils

Yeah, I found it pretty odd. I tried using the Parry at the start of the game and I had the white tendrils for the Parry despite having the option toggled to story. I thought giving Pete the Spider Arm abilities would fix his parry animation, but it didn't. The suits not changing also caught me off. I thought that option would have been in, but it wasn't so whilst I'm trying to do a Spider-man 3 run, I had to switch the suits after Pete gets Venom. It was also a little jarring seeing the costume lock still applied during the MJ mission, so chasing down Peter whilst he was in his base costume.
Off the top of my head, the only bug I noticed in the update was when I paused the game or went in a menu, characters dialogue kept playing until their line was finished, and strangely enough, halfway through my ng+ play through it fixed itself for some reason. Strange stuff.
I think they need to section off the black/symbiote suits to match the gameplay it'll also help diversify the gameplay maybe add a mechanic where you switch to black suit the same way you camouflage as miles and surge can still be its own thing with ever style of symbiote suit is selected also if they made the camo mechanic permanent where you're able to switch it on and off for miles it'll up the stealth gameplay a little bit and it could also be the mechanic to switch from normal suit to black suit

They should make up on the d-pad a symbiote suit switch for Peter. It’s not binded to anything unless you’re playing miles, and then it’s just his camouflage. They could use the animation from the cutscenes where it covers spidey with tons of tiny tendrils, and then smooths out. It’d be pretty cool
I know it’s technically broken but I’ve kinda enjoyed it so far. Getting to use surge on symbiote suite and anti venom suits without them changing to the default story suboptimal suit is a treat. Getting to see bully maguire’s suit throw around enemies in surge mode looks amazing and even using just black or white normal suits blends with the tendril really well. Feels like a step in the right direction for me though I agree with comments saying we should have a surge customization option. That would look amazing.
I kinda like that atm symbiote surge doesn't change your base suit to the symbiote suit, because I love the raimi black suit, so going into surge mode using the raimi suit just feels amazing, but I do agree that it would be better if it let u choose what suit u want for the surge mode
Actually, the symbiote surge working like that actually makes sense because in the comics and in the 90s series, peter could turn into any clothes he wanted when he wore the symbiote suit, i think he said in the spider's shadow comic that he could also turn back into the classic suit whenever he wanted even tho he had the symbiote. So the tendrils and surge mode coming out of any suit does indeed make sense.

Also in cutscenes in NG+ when your suit goes symbiote they change it so it doesn’t even with the basic suit which I don’t like. For example when Peter was about to get his anti venom suit I had advanced 2.0 equipped but even then when his symbiote tendrils came out at the start his suit stayed the same which I was bummed about

When you judge this game on the previous game alot of stuff does not make sense and looks worse. Just now i experienced a glitch where mission location was just not on the map at all. Same with the arrow that represents Spider-Man as it was gone to. Button combinations are missing etc and i hope that kind of instability is fixed eventually. The Surge problem is that when you play the game for the first time every version is unlocked by story mode and the suit changes accordingly. Now with New Game plus that is effectively nullified since they forgot to lock that system again or just made it completely free to choice giving you everything to use straight into a new game plus. I have seen that happen in other games before. So now instead you have to select the right suit manually which i personally like. I personally like the Classic Black Suit as it comes straight out of the old comics i used to read. I think originally he came out of the secret wars with that suit. But i digress. Unless they add a option where you can either lock the suits again i don't think they will change much about that. You can basically select whatever suit you want for cutscene purposes and if you really want it story authentic you can either start a new game from scratch or just use the right suit at the right times. You also have to keep in mind that you the player are in control how you might look but the symbiote is just that. A alien lifeform that can either change into a full body suit black or otherwise...or remains hidden within the user it chose as a host. Basically your personal preference freeroaming,Mission or Cutscene wise.
All I wanted was to use the symbiote tendrils with any suit. I think the black webs would go hard with the Spider-Man noir suit.

We need a setting that lets you change the colour of the web wings for Pete and miles and we need a setting to change between black and white webs
One thing I want them to add is for the black rami suit whenever you use the spider launch and dash, you have the spider arms instead of the symbiote would love it if the black rami suit used the symbiote and not the spider arm
I want to use the rare symbiote finishers. They should be more dynamic when wearing the symbiote suits.
Whenever I used surge, I would quickly press (Box + L/R + X + Box) to quickly change between the Rami suit and the black rami suit

There should be a black suit menu. You should choose the symbiote suit that you want to save Peter’s life toward the beginning, and you should be able to choose what symbiote suit you have when you do the surge mode.
Insomniac should make it so that Peter can switch the suit between regular suit and symbiote suit like in web of shadow, with each suit has its own set of skills (spider arms skills for regular suit and symbiote skills for symbiote suit).
I like the suit surge change because without it when I try and use the symbiote rami suit or the other symbiote styles it changed into insomniacs suit and I like fighting as the rami symbiote suit with the tendrils
I like the option to switch which suit to use with the Symbiote surge. They forced the suits to change a lot in the story which irritated me. Though for those who want to be made to wear those new ones, it'd be good to add an option to make them switch to the story suits. Similar to choosing between personal choice of time settings or story time setting.

What they need to do to is robot arms color. They clash with most of the skins, if I could change them red or black or whatever it’d look less jarring, even so with the idea of Spider-Man having a antivenom suit post Venom

I think they need to update the first TASM suit. Both the TASM 2 and Raimi suit got updated looks so it’s time for the first TASM suit to get one

after the tasm bugs is fixed I hope they give the same treatment to tasm 2 like they did raimi suit. make it more movie accurate
They already overhauled the TASM 2 suit. It looked actrocious at launched. Then insomniac completely overhauled the suit. Now there's not much improvements to make. Only fixing the glitchy lenses, & maybe use that opportunity to change the shape of the lenses. As well as making the soles accurate. After that, the suit should be left alone.

It would be cool if we had the freedom to choose costumes from Peter to Miles and also vice versa. This way, it would be very interesting to be able to see a Raimi Suit and an Spetacular Suit in the same cutscene
I like the Surge mode like this because i dont have to worry about my suit switching to the default symbiote suit. I can stay with Raimi Black Suit and not change during surge.

they should just let us change surge mode/parry animation/web colors and it would fix almost all the issues. I wanna use the antivenom suit as standard suit and one of the alternative new recolors as a surge mode
I have a small issue with the surge i kind of wish there was a setting where you can control how the surge gives u the corrupted symbiote suit like before the update if you where wearing any suit when u activate the surge you get the anti venom suit but now that i got the black tendrils it should be the corrupted symbiote suit

I'd want a way to choose what symbiote suit to change into and the style I want, I use the black suit 2nd style aka Anti-Venom black suit so I'd love if for surge mode, it changes the suit into the anti venom symbiote suit.
i think instead of change tendril colours, they shouldve just added change symbiote, so the rage would be venom or anti venom, and the tendrils still changed.

I want them to make so when wearing the Raimi suit when Peter gets the Symbiote it actually turns it into the black Raimi suit and for the fight with Peter it also keeps the black Raimi suit instead of switching to the surge suit so instead Peter has the Black Raimi suit and he takes that off revealing the regular Raimi suit underneath just like Spider-Man 3. I think what they could do to accomplish this is allow us to pick regular suits and Symbiote suits separately. However i will say you guys keep saying that it not changing your suit in surge is a bug but im 100% confident thats not a bug or glitch and that’s what’s supposed to happen as part of the suits being unlocked.

The Up on the dpad should be a symbiote change suit like how Miles has the invisibility cloak but for peter and its a suit change

Iron Spider Arms no longer are used to block. Makes RP as a normal Spider-Man immersion breaking.
In my first save file the black suit comes on when I surge but in ng+ the suit I pick only shows when I surge
Yo is anyone else having a problem getting all of the suit tech fuisions like for some reason I dont have enough hero tokens and city tokens but I 100% the game, and for some reson when i first started ng+ i was at max ultimate level but on the menue screen it says im at level 9 ultimate level.

Yeah because I have this issue with my PS5 Slim while only playing this game, my console fan is noticeably louder and it fluctuates between being louder and quieter. Only game that does this, I’ve checked other PS5 games and this is the only game it happens on. It started happening with this update. My console is brand new, no dust, and is not in a cramped space at all. I hope this can be fixed if it’s within their control. I don’t know if this is just a personal issue but it definitely bothers me.
