With all the content I've done around Marvel's Spider-Man 2 New Game Plus Update which fixed the Webbed Suit aka Raimi Suit, added time of day changes, mission replay and new suits, there are also downsides, bugged TASM2 suit, certain suits are warped and there are still many features missing such as the parry change option, weather change and even FNSM app to be able to choose which enemies to fight so in this video I will be going through a thread of all of these issues and community feedback!

When Insomniac said they’re adding tendril colors they should’ve specified that it would be just white & black…
100%, I thought we'd get tendril colors for the styles too
To be fair to them. Those *were* the only colors for the symbiote suits, and the main complaint people originally had was the fact that the tendrils remained white even with the black suit(s). Pretty sure nobody thought there were gonna be styles for the suits back then or even wanted any so why bother? And they probably only thought about it after the fact, idk.

I'm pretty sure most of the people (including myself) thought about just the black and white colors. The rainbow wasn't even an idea until they added the NG+ variations of the symbiote suit. Safe to say that it'll be added alongside a future DLC and there's no point in begging for it. It only makes sense they have that in mind after releasing the other suit variations, but were too short on time and need to work on it some more for the future. Begging and complaining won't make it come sooner than it needs to.
I really miss the character bios and the social media pages from the previous games as much as the saveable podcasts, there’s a lot of things that insomniac has noted and should have more focus on. Hopefully they can get half of it fixed and added to the game but I don’t want insomniac crew to be overwhelmed

I also wanna add that maybe not many people talk about, but i wish they could add more things to photomode. Like having more poses, like the classic Civil War comic cover pose where SM got the symbiote for the first time, or the Amazing Phantasy 15 pose ect... And it's weird why both Spider-Men don't have each other's poses for some reason. Like,Miles has a pose where he sits down, but Peter doesn't have that, or Peter has the thinking pose like from ITSV, but miles doesn't have that. Like why? It would be also cool to switch Peter and Miles in photomode, kinda like how the suit swap option works. And also why isn't there a vertical rotation option? Like you can position SM to the Left to Right, up and down. Forwards backwards, horizontal rotation. But not vertically? I wanna take a picture where SM is standing sideways on a wall with the finger pointing pose. LoL And they should make some poses when you're climbing up on wall. Cause they have poses for the ground and when you're in the air, but not when you're on a wall. There are so manny iconic posters and comics covers where Spider-Man is on a wall with a unique pose. Like The ASM #70 from 1963 for example. Like i hope that these things would be added in an update or in a DLC or maybe even the Next game.
in new game+, no matter what suit you’re using, peter will not do any symbiote animations during special takedown. he will only using the iron arms which feels very anticlimactic
YESS, Finally someone said it. Like i played New game Plus to see more of the symbiote finishers but it turns out their was none. even on the black suit arc I didnt see any tendril finishers wish is absurd considering thta most finishers are from the first game and the new finishers involve the iron spider arms. It was weird having all symbiote playstyle but no symbiote finishers except surge mode. I would love a finisher option between the spider arms and the symbiote finishers. It will also be good to add more symbiote finshers and arm finishers.

YESS thought I was alone with this issue, Peter keeps cycling through the same like 3 finisher animations and they’re the most basic normal finishers and occasionally some iron spider arms finishers but even then it’s only one animation of it that repeats

I like the game and i will enjoy going through the story but i just think that insomniac didn’t actually put in the details they had on the first 2 games. The guys at insomniac are so talented that they can do a game without motivation and it is a game of the year contender. So it bothers me that they could have won it had they just dedicated the same amount of details to the first game. Like for example on both games they had a book before the games that was a great introduction to what was going to happen in the game. It give us more great interaction between the main characters. In here we dont see that and in Miles game even if it was the same NY and all of that miles movement and finishers were so badass that it felt completely new. I enjoyed Miles Morales game more than the first one even with its limited story time and no dlc. It wasnt as emotional as Peters first game but it was good. In here i kinda see a great story that could have been better, a gameplay that was just copy and pasted with some new things and overall something that was more of a passing grade and not a full demonstration of what insomniac can do.
It would be cool if they can change the symbiote tendrils to purple for the first style of the classic black suit, and maybe an animated look for the last style too.
Yes them letting us choose what symbiote suit we want for the surge would take time but that would be so immersive like imagine having the tobey suit on and u do the surge and it changes to black that would be awesome
11:35 I NEED THIS because the podcast always get cut out when I do a mission fly over a crime or do something else and I can’t hear the whole podcast when it’s important to me.
This would be fixed within 1 week by modders if this was on PC.

and guess what? the mods will be clunky, have issues, and by the time modders make it perfect, if the devs were working on it at the same time the modders started, the devs would have done it quicker, and safer, and less buggy.

Things for a second update 1: tasm2 suit bugs and other bug fixs yeah we should all know at this point. 2: new tendrill colers. i dont really care but other people want this one 3: spider arms perrys and dash moves yeah this one is self explanitory. 4: weather changes and missing times of day. so the one we all want- symboite new york. - then there is what i call "blue evening" it only appers once when heading to mays house for the final mission. (fyi if you want to get this one back early do the dialogue trick but with the mission "togteher." and no i tried to get symboite new york back it did not work.) and yeah we want cool night time rain back. 5: dialogue swaps give us back evil peter "a break in? I'll break THEM!" 6: black suit redesign. one i saw on reddit. make the black suits webbing as thing is the normal one again. 7: mile orange perrying give miles orange venom perry moves. 8: crime repleys yeah this one is self explanitory as well. 9: make podcasts saveable. yeah this one is self explanitory as well. 10: hunter blinds replayable. why were they not in the first place? xD 11: isolate finisher animations yeah this would desable certin finisher animations such as spider arms or blue venom moves so now we get into the unlikely things 12: change spider arm colors. allows you to finaly change the arm colors you self either with set options or something more advance idk. 13: venom free roam option COME ON WE ALL NEED IT xD 14: suit and move presets. saves a preset of your moves, suit, finisher animations perrying animations, tendrill color ext if you see something i missed please comment it. also for the record not all of these are my ideas. although your welcome for the blue evening glitch.
They need to fix the colors of the New Red and Blue suit. The red is nearly orange and the blue is straight up green in every time of day other than night and rain. Plus the blue is way too dark as well, making it a dark aqua as opposed to a light sky blue
The hunter blinds are replayable. You just have to go to the mission and select replay

My number 1 wish is that we can pick which symbiote suit we want so it applies to the cutscenes aswell like Classic changes to classic black, raimi changes to raimi black etc… like I’m praying they do this because seeing the suit not change in the important cutscenes is incredibly jarring to me 😅

A small addon like any color choice of symbiote tendils would give this game that much more life to it.
Lets not pressure insomniac to fix these things tho, because fixing these things are probably harder than you’d expect, and they’d have to fix these things it ways that won’t mess other things up
The only thing I'd really want is having Harry's Agent Venom suit for Peter. The inverted Anti-Venom colors kinda work and I know it's not a Spider-Man suit but c'mon it would be so cool.
Honestly most of these requested features are things insomniac should’ve already thought of during development I find it weird that no one there ever thought about giving us the ability to switch tendril colors even if it was just between black and white

Amazing how these companies get hacked during money problems Spectacular how many people fall for the okie dokie Ultimate disappointment is they had time way before I think a lot of these bugs that are present are because of whatever content is lingering over from being cut and the non accessibility of the rest of Brooklyn and Queens, when you glitched over there you can see the same problems associated with the accessible part of the map with the NPCs and the traffic You'll see them walking through walls, buildings, the map, vehicles, etc The vehicles will be stacked on each other, flowing in and out of buildings also just like the NPCs
And Peter needs more Spider-Verse suits Like Peter B. (Regular and maybe sweatpants version) Or ATSV 2099 And the Big Time Suit since that suits glowing parts do change colors in the comics
They should also add the spider armor mark 1,the spider armor mark 2,the spider armor mark 3 and the spider armor mark 4 for Peter
I would also like to add the fact that we don’t have the two Symbiote finishers from the second act of the game. The one where Peter slams the person into the ground with the tendrils, and the one where he hits them to the side with his tendrils mid- air. I think it would be a really cool addition if they just allowed us to continue to use those finishers after being the game

So does the Raimi black suit. The webbing on the head clips through the lenses and isn't like the regular red suit
One last thing is the wrinkling of the clothes while swinging which they adapted in the other two games. It would be nice to have that effect back
This video (and comments down below) shows almost all the changes and additions that I would like to see in the game. I'm very glad that people write all this to the developers of Insomniac Games and they see it and give feedback. It would also be cool if the symbiotic finishers from Story mode were returned for Peter. And also (I don't know about the rest of people), when I play for Peter and stop crimes, both Yuri Watanabe (Wraith) and Miles can come to the rescue. But when I play for Miles, only Yuri comes to the rescue. I wish that when we played for Miles, Peter could also help us during the stop of crimes. I believe that sooner or later Insomniac will add all the requests of fans to the game and we will get a finished masterpiece!

Also fixing the color of tendrils when we have the white ones while wearing the symbiote suit suit. For instance, i use the venom punch to stick an enemy to the wall during the attack it'll be white but the tendrils are black once the enemy is stuck on the wall.
I'll be content with letting us decide whether or not we get taken over when we activate Surge Mode in NG+.
I like the idea of a red symbiote color variant, but i'm not sure if its going to be possible since we didn't get to see the red variant in action. We did see the carnage symbiote at the end of the flame side mission, but we didn't get to see the transformation (well at least not of yet, possible in a future DLC story). But i could be wrong, anything is possible
On the second mission with wrath, I somehow clipped through a wall and I was softlocked and it’s weird because the enemy should stand out waiting for you to open the door it’s kind of funny
7:31 The TASM 1 suit is actually inaccurate though People didn't mind the original Raimi suit, but people hounded them to fix it to be closer to its onscreen appearance, that same energy should go towards the TASM 1 suit
I would love the ability to changes peters regular suit to symbiote suit during gameplay I know symbiote surge technically does it but something similar to web of shadows because miles has his cloaking by pressing up on the d-pad where peter doesn't have anything attached to it. it would be cool i know it probably will never happen but a man can wish still love the game though
I only want the change parry option, to have a finisher option between the arms and the tendrils or at the very least to add the symbiote finishers to New game plus (their were none on New game Plus), and if it would be possible to have the symbiote raimi suit have the symbiote dash and jump in transversal to be with the tendrils and not the spider arms. I mean its a symbiote suit it should have the transversals of a black suit except the webs.
I remember a time when updates had rolled out it didnt break the game at the same time. Im stuck in ng+ at the high school play through where i cant progress past that security guard.
If I had to choose one option for the next update they will do it has to be the weather change to rain sunny etc in my opinion or if it comes to that

Honestly i wish we had more simbiote suit styles. ACTUAL styles not just color changes. There are so many simbiote suit designs like the Spiders Shadow which I strongly believe was the inspiration for the surge suit. Also it’s a SIN they did not give alternate anti venom suits. Having one that’s closer to the comics with the spider and the sharp edges on the suit would be better.

For miles they should allow us to change the color of the traversel lighting abilities when he’s swinging and same thing with his mega venom blast
i understand the problem but like originally the main problem was that we were stuck with the anti venom tendril color and we couldn't revert to black if we wanted to wear a black suit and insomniac heard us out and fixed that problem, as players we didn't specifically say anything about tendrils colors for other styled suits, insomniac is hear us out but we didn't specifically say anything about style colors

I honestly have to disagree with a lot of people hating this update, because it gave us practically EVERYTHING we wanted and yet much like the launch version of this game. So many people got what they wanted from the game, but they're complaining about HOW they got it. Do I wish there were some more added features to this game's update? Yes. Such as multiple Symbiote Tendrill colors and other Black Suits from other incarnations of Spider-Man, but that's about the only stuff I can think of right now. I'm just glad we got NG+, New Black, Symbiote and Anti-Venom Suit Styles, Mission Replay, Replaying With All Skills, Abilities and Gadgets and giving us an incentive to play NG+ by earning new Suit Styles and obtaining dual Suit Tech Upgrades and Golden Gadget paint jobs, it's all AMAZING and makes MARVEL'S SPIDER-MAN 2 even better! 😎👍🏼🕷🕷🕸🕸🔥
If we're getting a carnage DLC in the future, i wont be surprise if they add "red" tendrills color into the game. It only make sense. On too of that, probably a "carnage symbiote" suit for peter.
Pretty sure you can get the "spider-arm's" parry if you change Peter's "abilities" back to the spider arm's preset
Another thing I'm wondering about is why are the spider arm's only in sandman's boss fight Peter pretty much completely forgets he has them after that like couldn't he have tried to use them in the cut scene where he was saving everybody on the roller coaster and the civilians had to get saved by harry I get that they had a story mapped out but was the first mission the only time they had his arms advertised?
I don't think it would mess with the continuity that much to add snow.
I would say if they can change not only the parry but even the dash, dashing with arm sometimes is visually painful 😂, especially using the black raimi suit It would be cool changing the web color as well

This update was insanely rushed just like the game. Makes me realize that the newgame plus was supposed to added later not this early.
all i want is to select a base suit and a surge suit, like if i wanna wear the 2099 base suit and then have the black version as my surge suit..would be better than my suit not changing at all when i go in surge mode
They also shrunk the size of the anti venom eyes. Nobody else has touched on this.

The tasm 1 suit looks pretty much the same as the movie but the colours to be look off surely they can redo the textures on the tasm1 suit like they did the raimi suit

I don't know if anyone else is having this issue, but my weblines don't work anymore. Those webs that make a little bridge for spidey, I can't use them even after many resets. Can anyone help? They worked just fine before I started NG+

We dont talk about the webwing colors enough. There are only two colors for each character. Let us swap them or just have it reflect the color of the suit/suit STYLE players are using.

Relax. This was posted as feedback as was asked by the senior community manager on the reddit post, I am well aware of the impacts of the hack and I feel for Insomniac Games. I've talked about it before and haven't covered anything that was breached.
