wednesday dance scene, wednesday jenna ortega
Jenny ortega is breath takingly gorgeous special in this dance scene. It's her eyes , her movements and facial expressions i was mesmorised !
omg me too i was like she ATE

Me too I couldn’t stop watching. Lmao 🤣
She is very pretty
What facial expression?😂
Those eyes of hers in this scene in particular are so heart stealing. I cannot blame these guys for falling for her. Jenna Ortega is just stunning.
She's gorgeous all right.
Her eye choreography is amazing too!
@@ok-oc3ud very underrated in that aspect
she is beautiful
It's the makeup, it's called "smokey eye". Tired of dudes complimenting make up without acknowledging it. That's why y'all think natural make-up is no make-up, and insist that you like natural women whilst constantly praising the opposite.
I wish they would have gotten more of her tribute to Lisa Loring. She was just starting Lisa's Wednesday shuffle and the camera cut to another angle. Jenna did some outstanding research into her dance moves and they all came together perfectly.
Just posted that myself, glad someone else noticed it though.
Very true u just a glimpse of the original Wednesday dance (which was a little bit of a trend back in the day) and the camera cuts away. Of all part to not include, that was not it.
Some of the moves reminded me of the dance from Pulp fiction.
@@bfettrules1239 Yep it was a big trend for the young at the time big on Dick Clarks Bandstand.
I absolutely LOVE how Tyler is enjoying her dance so much AND how Xavier is seething with jealousy 😂😂❤❤❤

so you mean you like this scene...like literally what this whole scene is about.
As a huge dance nerd I'm beyond impressed that she choreographed this herself, this references Fosse, Flamenco and the dance that OG Wednesday did in the original television series. There are seasoned choreographers that wouldn't be able to do something half this good. On a totally shallow note, her arms are PERFECTION. The control she has to throw them about with abandon and then pull in for small, controlled movement is a skill that lifelong dancers work forever to hone.
I'm glad someone else pegged the OG Wednesday dance!
I just found out she choreographed this herself and I’m totally impressed. I had to watch this several times, it was just that good.
WAIT! She choreographed it herself!?! I am in love with it even MORE now!!!
You forgot uma Thurman in Pulp fiction
she said her self she got the dance inspo from siouxsie sioux
the fact that Jenna choreographed this herself is unbelievable, the talent she holds is insane
Really? How is that unbelievable? I swear sometimes people just over hype and praise actors for the stupidest things. All she was doing was flailing her body around and bugging her eyes out. There’s nothing spectacular or crazy about the scene that other people couldn’t do. I’ve seen people at real dances do weird shit like this. It’s not freaking rocket science
@@purpledove7008 relax lol you’re in this too deep.
@@purpledove7008bro it’s not that serious go take your meds
@@purpledove7008 she based it off of gothic dancing in clubs. She apparently did a lot of research into it.
@@purpledove7008 well actually she did have to put some thought into it bc in the original Addams family wednesday also does a dance similar to this so she recreated it and modernized it.. so actually kinda cool that they added that and had her do her own choreography.
The scenes with Enid and Wednesday were so adorable, and some a bit poignant. They have great chemistry. I love how their friendship develops. Love how Wednesday's rivals come to appreciate and respect here. Wednesday even finds a home at the academy.
Normally Enid would grate on me as I can’t stand the morbidly cheery. But she’s not. She’s perky done well.
The awkward pauses between each set of moves is PERFECT
jenna ortega is the only one who can dance so aggressively and make it look graceful
😂
Exactly 😂😂
she said her dance inspo for this scene was siouxsie sioux
-cough- Lorde
Lots of her moves are from Pulp Fiction Uma Thurman, so your wrong.
This scene made me realised why the character is so likeable. She doesn’t do it just to “be weird” she’s legitimately just being herself and is completely ok with that. She’s not putting on a show of confidence or quirkiness it’s literally just her being her
She's the literal definition of 'having no fucks to give'
Normal is just a setting on a washing machine. I love this series so much.

What I love about this scene is no one is making fun of her. They kinda are living for it. They are enjoying seeing her have fun. Even Bianca is not against the dancing. She just is frustrated with Xavier, who is in his sad boy mode. Her having fun, even if it isn’t obvious, is contagious. Edit: since I have a top comment, I have to add that Hunter is fine af and his husband bagged a babe
Exactly! They are feeling her big time!
Wow. It's almost as if it's a movie
it's not just that, it's Wednesday's self-confidence that also doesn't give anyone any room to make fun of her.
too bad the real world an't like that 😭

I love that Wednesday is dancing with Tyler, but in her own way. She just moves around him and maintains eye contact. It's weirdly sweet
Hahaha! Even jealous and mad at her, Xavier still can't help but watch Wednesday dance. He's spellbound like the rest of us ❤
How she danced with a straight face doing all of this is amazing to me lol
True 😂😂😂😂
right! i am like how the moment i did those i would have laughed but still thats wednesday
LOL. Exactly
I want to see the outtakes for this scene. There had to have been some spoiled takes where just trying to maintain the stoic expression had Ortega busting up laughing.
Probably she previously had to practice that dance so many times it wasn't funny anymore 🤣🤣
Jenna Ortega showed an impressive commitment through this role but the dance scene was easily one of the most lovable parts! This scene alone should book her for the next 5 years 😂
Give this girl an oscar right damn now
I can't believe she was able to keep her face so blank during the dance. When she popped up after tapping his shoulder, I expected her to lift her eyebrows or give some sign of emotion, but she stayed committed. 👏
I loved this scene, reminded me of Bob Fosse's Aloof/Heavyweight/Big finish. Absosutely great!

Wow... I saw this in the series and liked it, but seeing separated from the show, and I have the sound off, the set design here is AMAZiNG. The costumes, the make-up, the camera work, the colors, everyone looks amazing. Watch it not for the dance but watch it once and play attention to the way they filmed this. So AWESOME
Wednesday had a deadpan expression all throughout the dance but it's so obvious that she's really enjoying it. And the last part where she looks like having a seizure but she's just dancing 😆
Reportedly she was sick with COVID while filming this scene and was waiting for test results. Not sure she was enjoying it that much.
@@davidbrooks7806 Well, we wouldn't know how Jenna really felt, but her acting here was great, and looking at her as Wednesday, I could sense from the screen that Wednesday was grooving it. I mean, as a character who hates socializing, she danced hard on that dance floor. Despite feeling sick during filming, I didn't get that feeling at all. Jenna did great 👍🏻

Who’s still watching this a year later 😊
Her dancing is so good. It has a little bit of everything from comedy, mystery, cool, etc. It’s very hard to pull that off and not seem cringe.
I was genuinely suprised that this scene isn't even cringey or weird at all. Can't believe it can be pulled off specially with this music.
Well none of it should be cringe cuz it's all actual dance movies from the 60s lol
When i realized that she'd dance i prayed to god for not seeing something cringe like SHE HULK but i ended obssesed with her performance. 🖤
@@chuchis-yt9213 she-hulk stayed true to her source material as did Wednesday stayed true to hers. It's tim Burton, he's sticks to characters origin material albeit tweaking it a bit for the sake of an interesting story, like how he expanded on sleepy hollow or Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children
Yes, she looks confident while doing this dance. It still gives off a kinda weird/cringe vibe cause she's the only one doing that dance. But cringe in a good way I suppose. :P

The music here is also very similar.
The cool part is that you don’t think of Wednesday as someone that dances, but this is exactly how she would do it.
Wednesday danced with Lurch.
And her cousin at festers welcome home party.
This is not how she would do it. I really enjoyed the dance though. Although I do not think it fits Wednesday’s character. I really wish they’d let this be a series about Wednesday’s daughter instead. Everything in this series would work then. It would work so well. She would have similarities to Wednesday but more on the quirky side (which this new adaptation feels like) and keep the original dark, no f***s given, homicidal energy of the Christina Richie Wednesday.
