This is my experience with the Polarpro x Shortstache CPL / Black Mist filter. I was lucky enough to pick this up in the first batch and it pars perfectly with my Fujifilm X100VI. Let me know in the comments if you are planning on picking one up or have one already.

  • As you’ve discovered, you will lose close to one stop of light with a polarizer, so you’ll have to adjust accordingly. BTW, shooting both of those filters (Everyday and Mist/PL) on my VI as well. Prefer the stronger one for nights and some daylight work, but otherwise the Everyday is on there as my default.

    • I’ll probably have to pick up the stronger one for the vi now too. 🤔 I guess I had forgotten it shoots a little under or maybe on my main from shooting manual it just muscle memory to compensate.

    • @@Dwyer.Creatives Re the stronger of the two, it can be a little much I'm finding. That 1/2 stop of diffusion is no joke. But, I still picked it up because it was only another 20 bucks to add it if I bought it as a set, and I also had a 10 percent off first-time buyer discount code. It was too good a deal to pass up. If I was buying them singly at the full cost each, I would not recommend both and would just call it good with the everyday. Instead, since I've got Tiffen BPMs (1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 1) and Glimmerglass 1, I'd just pop that on the lens with the Everyday on top for those rare occasions when I need both a CPL and a little extra diffusion. So, if you already have any of those BPMs or GG1 I mentioned, maybe try that first before spending another 70 bucks, or whatever they are charging, just to add the second 1/2 stop Shortstache Mist/PL filter.

    • @@jacquesgude Polarpro has always been on the pricier side. I know they're still running them both for that combo deal. I'm wanting to see what changes they are doing with it. They're supposed to be announcing it soon. I was just looking at a few of those recently. I guess I'll have pick them all up eventually. Been leaning on that glimmer glass as maybe the next one.

  • can you fit the fuji lens cap that comes with the camera over it?

    @michaelmeade@michaelmeade28 күн бұрын
    • Yes the original lens cap will work with the filter on.

  • Can you still put on the haoge lens hood with the filter?

    @Rtist1929@Rtist192927 күн бұрын
    • I cannot fit my haoge hood with the filter. The other thing is, to turn the polarizer, would be a pain with a hood on without it having a cutout to access it.
