i use CPLs extensively they don't put numbers because the level of polarization changes with natural occurring variables such as angle of shot angle of sun angle of subject. it's not a set it and be done type of filter should always be looking at the view finder and twisting the filter until the desired amount of polarization is met. you can really see what I'm talking about if you shoot a car in the sun or the water like a lake or ocean move around you will see the polarization change each time you move location. hope this helps anyone wondering about cpl filter use
Nice shorts! Interestingly, unlike ND filters, polariser filters lack strength. Which reflections are filtered out is something you can change. You can't eliminate everything; just certain angles. Turning the filter will cause certain reflections to vanish and others to appear. That relies on the light angle.

Without being disrespectful, definitely a newb to CPLs bc that's not how that works 😅 it's more akin to turning the CP effect "on" or "off" when rotating it & then where it applies the effect (directional). No need for a numbering system or markers on the filter (which is why it doesn't come w/any & you'd be hard pressed to find any CPL w/it).
Picked up the Mist-PL version and OI am in love with it too! Waiting for the Everyday one soon!

Great filter combo! They need more thread size options! Not everyone wants to “step up” for a filter called Everyday.
Its the first batch of these being made and sent out so Im sure they gotta start small and then slowly grow options as demand increases. Its business man :) cant please everyone right away

Hack... buy a CPL + 1/8 Mist... its costs less and you have the option of not using the mist if you don't want too

@TeppoHaapoja Yes, previously these were always separate filters that you could stack onto each other. It's pretty common. Having a 2-in-1 filter just cuts the amount of glass you'd be shooting thru (which is what makes the Everyday Filter a good choice), BUT as this person points out. What if you don't want the Mist effect? Or the opposite, you want the Mist, but not the CPL. You'd just remove the other filter. Pending filter brand, it definitely more cost effective to buy separate filters. But I see the appeal of this Everyday one.
@@TeppoHaapoja Yes, photographers have been stacking filter since they were invented 😂… vignetting is only a factor with wide angle lens. That being said, you could take the Freewell M2 system. Since it’s magnetic you even have the option of adding ND’s too. You can “stack” ND, CPL & Mist (or remove) easier because it’s magnetic. I might add that the Freewell M2 is the same price.
I went to preorder one for my favourite 85mm lens which has a 72mm thread…….they don’t make a 72mm 😩😩😩😭
