  • Awesome!! I'm looking at the Project M for mine.

    • Project M would be perfect! I was going to get one until my father, who also owns a Lightning, wanted to get the slide in and pay half. So I went for it. But, Project M would be better due to weight and customizing what you want.

  • Great quality and very informative!! Thank you! Can I ask if you noticed visible sagging of the truck with the camper on, and did you install any suspension add-on? Also, I wonder if it’s necessary to change the stock tires if not going off-road (with the camper)? Thanks for your tips!

    • Good questions. I started out stock tires and documented it, but didn’t make it part of the video. Instead of averaging 220 miles on highway. I was up to about 250 on a full charge with stock tires and camper. There was about 1” drop with the camper on with regular suspension and upgraded suspension. I switched to the AT tires, and did a 3” rough country lift (not seen in this video).

  • Many thanks for upload very enjoyable. I have a Tesla model y and really like it but miss my ICE f150 so maybe the lightning is a future option.

    • Having had my Y and going with Lightning, it worked so well for me. The only thing you will miss is the economy of the battery, miles per KW.

  • Looking for info on how you secured the camper. Currently have an older Eagle model that weighs in right about 1,100lbs. and might be a good fit in a Lightning.

    • They installed Ibolts on the bed of the pickup and turn screws that attach it! Definitely go for it! It would be nice to see some more on the road. I just came back from Alabama Hills, Ca with mine.

  • Great video! Your dogs look like they had a great time! :D What tires are you running; any range reduction?

    • Thank you! Nitto Recon Grapplers same size that came on Lariat. Without the camper I lost about 20 miles around town. So 325 down to about 300 miles. Highway speeds from 275 to about 250. Dogs loving it 😂

  • Did you get a good deal on it?

    @TristenHernandez@TristenHernandez19 күн бұрын
    • They actually sold it to me under the condition I would buy it with solar and a lithium battery with the camper, but they did give me a discount to offset a lot of that cost. So, yes it was a decent deal.

    • @@TahoeDogProductions thank you very much. I think I’m gonna go with the topo camper to put on top. Just because I also have to use my truck for work not just camping although I wish I could. I’m buying my truck within the next month or two. I’m starting to see lightnings for less than 45 grand! Can you believe that? And they usually only have maybe 20 or 30,000 miles on them hoping to get the extended range for under 50.
