Dude was 55 years old when he did this interview and he was as energetic and engaging as a guy half his age. Stan The Man was truly one for the ages.
but he looked considerably older than 55.
Yes
i so agreee, if his hair was dyed black, id say he was 38 or something, not 55. He seems like a happy easy going guy tho, i guess thts the reason he looked so young at tht age:)
Doesnt look bad for 55 actually
He sure was great at taking credit for other people's work, especially Jack Kirby. What a gem!
To think Spider-Man was considered a joke back then, now he’s the most recognizable face in Marvel
@The Riddler literally no. Spidey was only thought of as a joke in the beginning when stan's boss didnt like the idea of spiderman because people dont like spiders or teenagers cant be superheroes but only sidekicks. But when spidey appeared in amazing fantasy 15 people loved him and they wanted more. Spidey has always been popular not just because of the movies but because he is singlehandedly the most relatable superhero on the planet to many many people.
@The Riddler It's not just the movies. Spiderman sells more merchandise than any Marvel character. His games sell the best and generally speaking he has the best solo games. Also his comics sell well too.
@The Riddler facts
@The Riddler Actually Spiderman games have always been more successful than other Marvel characters. Same with many of his comics. Spiderman has been Marvel's cash cow for years.
@The Riddler Erm Iron Man, Hulk, the X-men etc. If you think the movies made Spiderman mainstream you're beyond delusional. The first Spiderman movie came out in my generation. Even my Mother liked Spiderman as a kid and she has never read a comic before.
This is the longest I’ve seen him without his glasses.

This is exactly why Spider-Man 2 is one of the best Marvel movies ever made. College, grades, financials, work stress, making time for family, friendships, heartbreak, time for yourself and setting your priorities straight. Way more relatable than flying around and being indestructible.
That’s what I missed in Tom hollands movies they got the character completely wrong. Hopefully the next movies will improve as it seems a clean slate was given

@@isaaccurrie5353 Thankfully they somewhat went back to that version of spidy in NWH and I believe thats exactly what they wanted to set up for the next 3 movies. We get the peter parker / spiderman that no one knows who he is. He can go back to struggling with being a super hero / being a normal young adult with a job and bills. I think it will make the relationship between him and mary jane even better with him not wanting to repeat what he did in the first 3 movies. He will have a hard time telling Mary Jane he is the spider man.

"The brains and creativity of ONE man created all these characters". Stan really knew how to sell that image, even if it made a lot of other creators hate him.
Yes, when the host said that I immediately thought of Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko, to name but two creators.
Even Stan himself hated the fact that people forget about Kirby and Ditko. These characters were made by a team, not one guy.
Stan always gave the artists credit. More so as time went on. Kirby was a jerk to him. Stan tried to get Kirby more money and name recognition by hiring him into marvel full time twice. Jack turned him down because he liked working at home. That hurt Jack in the long run.

Not exactly, the one you see in the MCU started as Ms. Marvel, a love interest for the fist Captain Marvel in the Marvel Universe
@@Bronn92 isnt Ms marvel the stretchy one?
@@couldntthinkofachannelname9316 That is a new character from a few years ago. In the 2000s Carole Danvers was referred to as Ms Marvel.
Captain Marvel will always be Billy to me. Carol will always be Ms. Marvel.
Excelsior Stan... wherever you are
Legend says he is still here in the Negative Universe.
*Thanos* got him
I hope he’s in heaven with Joan. I really hope they’re in a better place.
In the ground
@EtikaArchiveNetwork Don't we have more fun when people aren't idiots trying to insult someone else's ideology? :p
They say you die twice, once when the last breath leaves your body and again when your name and life is forgotten, Stan will live until the end of human existence.
Man, I miss this dude. What a great and kind man 😢😢😢
He was old but he was a child at heart always and forever.
A head of his time
You will always be the man. Rest in peace
4:18 that savagery
the real DC sniper! !
@The Riddler nope
I never missed a man that never knew me so much.
He roasted DC very quietly by saying Marvel likes to make things accurate and scientific unless guys with capes and bold letters on their chest. That was SAVAGE!!!
I just realized how wild it was to see stan without glasses on
Stan Lee is actually really smart. Thought he was just charismatic and hard-working.
It's hard not to love Stan Lee. Everything about him is adorable.

Amazing interview and an amazing human. RIP Sir.
I always loved watching Stan Lee's interviews. He had such an intelligent wit, and a noble humbility that never made him come off as cocky or pretentious. Always a man that remembered where he came from. My God, he will be so missed... I just made myself really sad.😞 We love you Stan.
