How To Sing NEVER ENOUGH from The Greatest Showman LIKE A PRO

In this video I demonstrate line by line how to sing with an
emotional, powerful and healthy vocal performance of Never Enough
from The Greatest Showman.
Loren Allred, the original singer, is such a BOSS
She does an incredible job with her interpretation.
My goal is not to try to match her tone but to copy some of the stylistic choices she made to create high impact with my own performance.
I will show you all the details I pay attention to when I'm refining my vocals: breathing, placement, diction, dynamics and many more small things that can make a BIG difference in my final delivery and performance.

  • Great job. You are THEE best vocal coach EVER! I've had several coaches (classical), was bandleader and lead singer for my own pop/rock band singing my original tunes. But I have never had such a great lesson in breath control as you gave us here with my FAVE song from The Greatest Showman. I did not know this song was supposed to be hard to sing. I've been signing it along with the DVD while I walk on the treadmill!!! (I used to have a 4-octave range - but that was before I had thyroid surgery and lost my gorgeous singing voice...) trying to get it back with this song.   • I watched another video on how to sing this song, and I gotta say, I prefer this video so much more. It's extremely helpful and sounds much MORE(in power, contrast, emotion) than the other one did- no offence to the other person's video ofc, it was nice, I'm just not looking for one like it.     • Placement for higher notes are usually in head voice and forward, meaning you can feel it vibrate more in the face and around the nasal cavity. The trick is to make it resonate in that area without sounding nasal.

  • So I find I’m able to belt on the higher notes if I let go a bit more and invite a larger sound, but sometimes I’m self conscious about the volume so I hold back, voice breaks as it goes quieter/wants to go more into a mix/head situation. I’m close though!
