If you use a paper towel to dry the potato slices after you cut them they will cook better and they will crisp up faster. If the excess liquid is removed with a paper towel the lower the chance of the hot oil spitting out of the pot.

I like the idea. I am going to try the cornstarch/egg white for making my regular sliced potatoes crispy. I never thought to do this even though i use cornstarch to dry out and make fried tofu crispy. Thanks!

Fun fact. Potato chips were made by accident. The guy ordered fries but kept sending them back cause he wanted them to be crunchier. The Chef got so frustrated he he slices them ridiculously thin and sent to the guy, and the guy loved it.

No your so cheap to make snacks that are healthy and good. I like the idea. I am going to try the cornstarch/egg white for making my regular sliced potatoes crispy. I never thought to do this even though i use cornstarch to dry out and make fried tofu crispy. Thanks!

And I know we made our own potatoes chips and Indian taught us how to do for making homemade popcorn when we was young and now you be thankful if you can afford a bag of potatoes chips or popcorn and I get mines on sale 😋 but still can have them when I have a taste for them heaven is still blessing thank you FATHER GOD of HEAVENLY PLACES
