Joe Torono - Stand on your own (No retreat no surrender / Karate tiger) HD
Stand on your own
There comes a time,
when you face the truth alone,
the greatest challenge to believe,
and with the help from those,
who give you strength of mind,
stand up and fight your battle,
leaving your own inhibitions behind.
Stand on your own,
there's no retreat, there's no surrender,
stand on your own,
for you must do what your heart tells you,
stand on your own,
and when your dreams,
and your frustrations work
themselves through,
there'll be no stopping you.
Your honor is nothing,
if you fight but watch inside,
and don´t believe in yourself,
so search at your feelings
and prod the man of you
you have a dream,
and thats your power
so throw out the old ones
and accepting the new.
Stand on your own,
there's no retreat,there's no surrender,
stand on your own,
for you must do what your heart tells you,
stand on your own,
and when your dreams,
and your frustrations work
themselves though,
therell be no stopping you.
This song is the best. It's on my VHS copy. I can't imagine the movie without it!
This is my favorite movie of all time!
THIS IS AWESOME! I loved this movie growing up! NO RETREAT NO SURRENDER!
This brings back so many happy childhood memories. 🥲
Magnifica película y estupenda música. ¡ Saludos desde Uruguay!
Correct! But at that time Americans were ignorant to martial-arts and Asian cultures. This is also a low budget movie or B-movie. Still is an awesome movie with one of the greatest fight scenes in my opinion! Fuck, now I have to watch it again.
ladies and gents......Time to train!!
top training anthem :-)thx
I love you,guys !!!Yes No Retreat !!
Kurt's roundhouse kicks were awesome.
They were the best
@katogojira7223 hes back.the last kumite
As a martial artist of the wu zu quan school I found the words spoken by the Bruce Lee character to be very true
Jason75 is a nugget. Oh the 26 year old film, the first western martial arts movie with eastern choreography, directed and choreographed by 10 year Peking Opera House veteran, close friend to Jackie Chan and Sammo Hung-Corey Yeung, and the fight scenes look sloppy?!!! You went to see this 15 certificate movie when you were 10-11? Whatever.
Agreed!
Keep going on until the end !
Bruce Lee helped Jason discover the key secrets of all martial arts.
He couldn't have done it without RJ!
@merrushj The second one is "Ask me to stay orig '85" (performed by Kelli Stiles). The first one appears as "Bonus Tracks 1" (performed by MJ Lallo) in the movie soundtrack.
Bad ass video
So search out your feelings and "pull them into view"... and ..."So throw out the old while accepting the new". Ask me how I know. :)
se puede encontrar como "retroceder nunca, rendirse jamás"
thanks!
Whether there are two versions of the movie, an American version and a re-edited British VHS version, both contain completely different theme songs: "Hold On To That Vision" and "Stand On Your Own" (I prefer the latter) The actor who plays Bruce Lee didn't speak a word of English! , so he had to be dubbed, so they could have changed the voice from one version to another.
There comes the time when you face the truth alone The greatest challange to believe And with the help from those who care your strenght for mind Stand up and fight your battle Leaving your own inhibitions behind Stand on your own There's no retreat there's no surrender Stand on your own For you must do what your heart tells you Stand on your own there's no retreat, there's no surrender, stand on your own, for you must do what your heart tells you, stand on your own, and when your dreams, and your frustrations work themselves through, there'll be no stopping you. (Drako, según la canción y película -que me encanta-, te digo que esta parte de la canción dice: "if you fight with what's inside". Saludos) Your honor is nothing, if you fight with what's inside, and don´t believe in yourself, so search OUT your feelings and prod the man of you you have a dream, and that's your power (También esta parte) so throw out the old one accepting the new. Stand on your own, there's no retreat, there's no surrender, stand on your own, for you must do what your heart tells you, stand on your own, and when your dreams, and your frustrations work themselves through, there'll be no stopping you. (Sí, el inglés no ayuda, pero nos apoyamos entre todos. Saludos)
great video!
"Jayyyss!!! No Rerreat!!! No Surrender!!!" -RJ
Much better than nowadays woke crap. People need such kind of movies with simple and clear messages. In this case it‘s face your fears and fight for America.
Same for Europe
Buen tema drako2012 y aun mejor con su subtitulo, gracias!!!
the only way you can get this song is by buying it on video not dvd
Pity that.
@Ronal7700 "No retreat no surrender", en algunos paises "Karate tiger"
i rly missed not having this song in the uncut verson i have, the film just isnt the same without it. also does the bruce lee character have a different voice in the uncut version? im sure he sounded different.
you're welcome! I love it too
Always made me cringe when Van Damme is knocked outta the ring at the end..Thats gotta hurt LOL
the coolest martial arts movie ever made. kurt mckinney shudent stop doing that kinds of movies. van damme is still doing it and his one of the biggest actors of all time.
Disappointing that this song is not included in the "No retreat, No surrender" soundtrack CD album from Perseverance Records ..
De nada amigo, ¡saludos!
u welcome =)
thanks for your comment :)
Ahora la pueden ver en Prime Video
yes, later also put on youtube
Shit! I'm baby sitting and as soon as this song came on a kicked a 5 year old in the face .
"Hold on to the vision in your eyes" is an european version ?
The lyrics have mistakes in them.
Illegale
I used to be a stuntman, there fight scenes look sloppy, espically fighting the goons, great movie saw it in theaters. back then..good old days
Both versions of this film had really good songs. However this is from the better cut of the film. Hated the other one with all the cheesy sound effects and musical score, and the weird scenes left in.
No one can fight like that these days. Thanks Obama!
