It'd be interesting to see an interview with Linus (LTT) with many of the same questions. See the difference in strategy between these two big tech KZheadrs - MKBHD is a lot more personal with only about 10 employees, whereas LTT has nearly 50, but they have similar subscriber counts and viewer numbers. The differences in the behind the scenes business side of stuff is very interesting.
Agreed. With the spectrum between independent creators and the Cnet's and Verge's of the world, LTT has kind of organically crown from one side to the other, where now they have several different presenters, several different channels, etc. so yeah it would be interesting to see the mindset difference between LTT and MKBHD

8:18 he's totally right. I used to watch so much tech videos just a year ago but one day I just fed up and now I have like only 4 tech channels in my subscription.
Same happened to me I was huge Unbox therapy fan and binged almost entire catalogue for few weeks and after that I just felt boring and I never went back to that channel again but now I like lewclips and am I just back for only that

The reason why I love watching MKBHD is because of the cool shots really. I mean, he is correct, tech youtubers says the same about a certain product, you have to have some uniqueness for people to continue watching you.
On my list of creators I would watch absolutely anything they put out, MKBHD and Colin and Samir are at the very top haha here for all the Marques, Colin and Samir content you ever feel like putting out.

My idea suggestion for Retro Tech season 3 is to look at tech that we thought would be our future, but instead of super futuristic ideas look at products or trends that were on the rise but then died off. For example, what did we think (film) photography would be like in 2022 before digital photography was even a thing?
I've been considering expanding my company into the tech space, so this was an AMAZING interview with a ton of cool nuggets of info. As a creator, this is by far one of the most useful channels on YT, and its FREE. Love you guys

The part about turning being a video creator into a job is very on point. I've worked in the industry just about as long as MKBHD and it really is an ever evolving industry that pushes boundaries so quickly that it can be easy to fall out of love with if you don't really love it.

MKBHDs points on delivery/packaging is so important. I see it happen all the time in the KZhead food world. I've found myself moving more and more away from the "normal" on food KZhead to do things no one else can or will.
Great video! This clip really shows me how a podcast helps Marques speak eloquently. I remember marques being noticably nervous when he did those interviews and he struggled with maintaining an interesting conversation. Now that he's been doing the podcast, he has been exercising that muscle and it is definitely noticable here. Props!

@@fantasytky28 I think its not biased but more of the consistency of some brands qualities. Like samsung and apple. Therefore it might seem biased but its just their that good. He also highlights other great products! Like google pixel!

Maybe it’s just me but the gate used on these mics was noticeably aggressive. I don’t think a little bit of background noise is that bad, and it’s definitely no more annoying than the effect of the gate. I would just bring down the reduction when the gate closes so you don’t go from on to off but you leave some white noise so it still sounds natural.
i was about to comment the same thing. Not miserable to listen to, but very noticeable with headphones on.

MKBHD will always be my go-to tech channel for anything tech. All the other channels, for me, are there when MKBD hasnt uploaded a video, or to reinforce or contradict a bit Marques’s thoughts, when I agree or don’t agree with him, about a product. But overall, he's the best tech reviewer.
