It was a night that had many blessings. The stars came out as we had numerous scholars and community members from across the country join us for this memorable event.
We had the honor of hosting Khabib Nurmagomedov at our Miftaah Institute Campus in Michigan to share his experiences from his UFC career and from his personal life, specifically his relationship with his religion.

  • This is one of the few professional fighters that I can listen to for more than a few minutes without wanting to claw my eardrums out. He speak with real wisdom and class. There is no bullshit or sensationalism in the way he comes across. Very humble and genuine guy, a true role model.

    • The most beautiful soul that I've ever met in my life. I was lucky enough to becomegood friends with, is Muslim. Believe it or not he is the big guy in the meme, "excuse me your steroids are touching me" He went by Alex, but his name is Anus, I know the phonics of his last name but not sure on spelling. He went to University of South Alabama. I've searched and searched for him for years. He gave my mom his email when he moved back to Syria after Graduating. I was out of town but he made sure to get it to me before leaving, but it was lost on a computer in Katrina. It just happened to be around 2002. He worked with me part time. When none on my team could go and I was going to loose my chance to go to Vegas and play pool, he came and filled the spot on the team I was on to play in the 🎱 ball international championship in 2001. But well before Sept. I wish I could find him or someone eventually help make the connection just so I would know he is doing well.

  • Khabib has moved past the category of "champion athletes" he's a figure of the global heritage status. Like Muhammad Ali, Michael Jordan, Sachin Tendulkar or Tyson. Khabib is a Cultural Institution in himself. Alhamdulillah. God bless the people that raised this Gentleman ❤️💫

  • I'm not a Muslim but since the day I seen khabib I followed him what a tremendous man he is a worrior and so humble he has so much respect for other people dont matter who they are money has not changed him at all his father was a great man proud to it reminds me of my father he was ex marine we had big family not much money but we got on I lost him when I was 17 I know what khabib went through losing his father he brought us up to have respect for our selves and others specially old people I think khabib is wonderful man kind and proud thoughtful I never really thought about muslims and the way they go on with there lives but khabib has opened my eyes how they stay together get on and joking I think islam is so funny to ide love to meet both them one day they great guys ))

  • Khabib has gotta be one of the most beautiful human beings ever. He's so humble and genuine and you can see that he has a deeply introspective and compassionate heart. He seems to always be super generous in sharing his time and wisdom but I think one of the biggest things that sets him apart is his faith.

  • The world needs to see real Muslim heroes. People like khabib show Islam in a positive light. Because of khabibs actions non Muslims have seen Islam as a positive influence and not the typical terrorist view. We need more people who are like this.

  • I grown up as child with Chechens (they are neighbours of Dagestan) i can told you. That they are not like other peoples. They have so big powerful will power they never give up in fight. They are like so ferocious in fight and physicaly very strong tough people. Another thing i realised was their imaan in ALLAH and Islam is so high, very honourable humble and patient but mighty. This is warrior spirit they have is something given from Allah. And i am pashtun and even i admit they are unlike any other people i met.

It is so refreshing to see a man become as big as Khabib has without succumbing to any of the mainstream celebrity shenanigans people think one cannot do without. He is so simple, so straightforward, and his less-than-perfect English adds to the charm. Love Khabib.
