  • I’m a retired piano teacher and this child is off the charts genius ❤️❤️❤️ This is a very difficult piece and certainly one of Chopin’s best known. He plays it not only with great precision but also with maturity of dynamics. And he brings out the inner voices beautifully. What a joy for his teacher! I envy him/her.

    • How many hours a day do you have to practice to be this 'mature' at five? And for how many years? At this age, Chopin himself was a carefree boy, who couldn't even dream of playing at this level.

    • I totally think that he's talented, so lets get that out of the way. As a pianist myself, I am 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘧 jealous of him, but I do not speak with unnecessary bias. I don't think he's doing what you think he's doing. When I feel the music, I kind of stay still, just focusing on my hands and the way I'm playing, but I look carefree about my expression. I think a lot of performers make sure to smile and look away to make it look as if they're enjoying the piece, but really, they aren't. Or at least their face isn't an indication of it (If you want an example, look at Lang Lang's performances. Him and his piano should get a room!). About him not looking at the keys, I think that's probably just because he understands chord shapes and has the muscle memory and confidence to do it. Since this kid is so talented, he probably went to multiple recitals and was taught to have a good performer's face. That's why he was moving his head around and only glancing at the keys, not interupting his facial expression. Again, the kid's extremely talended. EXTREMELY talented. But I just think that this is innacurate.

But as a father of a 4 year old I always wonder how much of this is self motivated and how much the parents made him do it. I get trained animal vibes as soon as I see a young child that is this good at something - and I might be doing them wrong but I can't avoid a slightly strange gut feeling.

  • Amazing talent. I have seen and heard some of his other performances on KZhead and he is very impressive. I am a 73 year old retired professional musician who can appreciate what he is able to do. Technic is very good of course considering his age....but his musicianship and interpretation is outstanding. Very few top musicians have the dynamics and feel for the piece that this boy does. I hope he won't get burned out at an early age by people pushing him to perform. Now is the time to refine his playing and continue to make it fun for him. He obviously enjoys playing the music.

This guy is the real thing. He is listening to his own playing and crafting every note. The fact that he is even using the pedals when he's too small to sit on the stool, and has the hand stretch of a young child too ... everything about this blows me away. Definitely someone to watch for the future. EDIT: I have just spotted his other videos. He's now nine. Check him out playing Liszt's _La Campanella_ with incredible sensitivity and subtlety. I mean how the hell am I supposed to expect anything i can play anything close to this, but to me what music is about is the emotional aspect. I think he can become a very good pianist in the future because he won't struggle to learn pieces, but focus on adding emotion. He is also too small to fit most advanced techniques involving the muscles in the hand and using body pressure and stuff, but then again the people who made that weren't expecting 5 year olds to play this

И потом кто сказал, что детство должно быть беззаботным?!. Труд полезен и для души и для тела. Из беззаботных нередко вырастают ленивые и безответственные Трудись, малыш!!! Будь здоров и счастлив.
