I saw a rooster and hen on my street once. In the middle of lots of houses for miles here come this couple. They were so big, well fed and just gorgeous. It was odd seeing them just walking along, and pecking ar the grass. Well I watched for like a 1/2 hr and what got me is how they coordinated their way along this neighborhood. The rooster watched mostly, but if he decided toceat the hen would stop eating and turn into the watch guard. They were the way chickens should be. They were very large, had their beeks,, all their toe nails, all their feathers. Not anything scrawny, scared, half beaten by factor farming about them. It was such a rare treat to see chickens look so majestic, beautiful, acting natural, and free. Yet it was also the endearing closeness of this pair. I could feel their love for one another. Very endearing. What a neat thing it is to see a so called farm animal be so free and natural and beautiful and have such a endearing closeness to one another. To see them enjoy what humans enjoy, the sun, the air, the environment.
