Presenters are doing a spot on job and its just bad timing in my opinion. The owners of the channel have taken away the soul unfortunately
yea there really quite good, and the content is not bad. However no introduction for these two is very irritating.

@usmanfarooq96 because od the reasons why, they ALL ended up leaving, and the fact its history replaying itself... they wanted to be a car channel, but with no budget, ams expecting the hosts to earn peanuts... they deserve to know how much they've pissed off they're EX loyal fans.

Been watching CT since Adnan and Alex were the main presenters, with ethan only appearing in the background and jack hadn't even been 'born' yet. I'm sure the now presenters were chuffed with their new position, and they seem to be doing a great job; it's just such a huge shame they've come in front of the camera during a time where the owners and investors have their own fists up their asses.
Im with you, been here for years, and this channel went through a lot of phases, i just hope this is also one of them, lets see what happens, the new videos have been ok and i really like matt, its not his first time presenting here, and alex needs a bit of work but hes a great driver, if the owners allow it, i might just think that we will get 4 new amazing car channels

Don’t know why people are berating these guys, they are quite good at what they do and with auto Alex, TDC, and whatever new thing Ethan and Jack are doing with auto Alex we will have 4 KZhead channels to watch. keep the videos coming guys, you two are doing grand to say you had some big shoes to fill. Car throttle bosses may have caused some drastic changes which were not good for the channel, but I’m optimistic this will work out for these guys once all the KZhead trolls have had their fill, got used to change, and these guys find their feet 👍
Because it’s shit there presenters are OK but it’s just like a failed top gear again, they couldn’t even do a video to say Jack and Ethan had left or an introduction to the new team, the dynamic has completely changed and it’s not good

The owners of the channel refused to allow the presenters (alex, jack and ethan) to buy ANY cars so they all left one by one and started their own channels, making better content and spending money where and when THEY want. thats whts happened.

What is the point of this video?
Car throttle is trying to redeem itself which it inevitably wont be able to do. If I were the owners of CT, id be offering to sell the channel to autoalex, he at least knows how the channel worked best and could potentially revive it. But he wont because him leaving CT was the best decision he ever made
@@DetectiveDeuche Alex started his own channel(s) which are doing very good. Why would Alex want to buy CT? I gues we've got to face the fact that CarThrottle as we knew it is gone and it will never be the same as before Alex left. I'm sorry for the new guys, this is not their fault but management had their heads up their asses and that's what killed the channel.

I’ve seen replacement presentors doing a far worse job … top gear… Bit of transparancy, intro would have been nice. YT is a more direct medium than regular tv shows.

Matt is a lovely fellow, and Alex a great driver, yes they are not the presenters we knew, but neither is the channel, and especially the owners, this was one of my first channels subscribed on yt and i really hope they restore their former glory, and in that way we get 4 great car channels, and car throttle was the academy of them in a way

If you don’t like the content - don’t watch it! We’re all aware of the issues people have had with CT, I think this is still great and really like how Alex can genuinely drive! His camber and combustion videos have always been great

Sorry to be the guy who knows nothing about cars. But I have a question if anyone can help? My gf bought a grandland x second hand 45k miles 2 months ago. Everything was fine. But a few times now the gear stick jumps back into neutral while driving. It's booked in next week to see what wrong. should she stop driving it ASAP? Also wanted to know if this is a common issue with the grandland x? Any advice or help would be great. 👍

@@kakashi99908 car throttle deemed economically unviable to keep producing content with car restorations and trips etc and so reverted back the the old old old format. The old three hosts moved on because of this to their own new shows and now Car Throttle is kinda stagnating

To answer your question: Yes, the GR86 has quite a loud synthetic sound pumped in the cabin. It's ok in the beginning but gets a bit annoying after a few months. I disconnected it on mine and have an aftermarket catback exhaust. A lot better!!
Watching this channel die after like a decade of watching all their content is like seeing BBC fire Jeremy Clarkson and top gear was never the same… RIP CarThrottle.

The miata is more fun then both the s2000 and gr so that would be a more equal test gr vs s2000.

@@user-ty5di3ku6o I mean the s2000 is inherently flawed, it's got a great engine and gearbox but sticky steering and a spikey chassis, if i was to buy another sports car under £15k i'd go for an NC with Suspension mods over an S2K.

Last week was 13.14m subs now 13.12m, people are unsubbing fast on this channel. I’ve finished here as the presenters are OK, the owners are not.
All the Gear, Top Dead Centre and AutoAlex. Seeing Jack and Eithan again and creating their own channels. Now seeing the three channels coming together and seeing a bunch of legends!! After 8 years, I am going to say Goodbye Car Throttle, I will be one less subscriber. Wish you all the best!!

Alex and Matt are doing grand. Nice to have a proper driver involved, willing to give it time. Yes CT has changed and some of the old team are appearing elsewhere, but who cares, we just gain more content.

I can't do a convertible and I don't think I'm alone. Hence the gr86 selling so well as most small, sporty cars are soft top convertibles.

Why is car throttle getting all this hate?! Sure its not the same as before, but from 1 channel has spawned 3 new channels. And these 2 have given this a shot to still give you all free car content. That's 4 car channels from when there was just 1. Don't forget the actual death of overdrive. Everyone needs to stop complaining about something that is free to watch and just let the boys get on with giving us more car videos.

A better comparison is the RX8. These are far closer to the GR86 as sports cars with very similar feel (if the RX8 is on firmer suspension, stock is suuuuuper soft), handling limits, and power. And RX8s tend to be cheap as dirt, often significantly less than a Miata.
Almost like you should watch the series.. Living with a rotary 😅 or can we not bring that up anymore?
@@ZackNakazora1 I've watched most of it...and I've owned one, well now two, for around 5 years. In terms of sports cars, the GR86 and RX8 are probably the two most alike feeling to drive. Miata, S2000, Solstice GXP/Sky Redline, Z4, 350Z, 370Z, and others are farther departures. What makes the RX8 so alike to the GR86 (or FT86 for that matter) is they share largely similar proportions, power output (well at least the GR86), weight balance, chassis stiffness, driver position, and especially center of gravity. There's differences in suspension design and such, but these are really very, very alike when, for example, racing around an autocross course.

the problem lies with mgmt, you shouldn't have to rely on borrowing cars and making staff use their personal ones to make videos, give these boys a decent budget or you're going to kill the business
we'll see what they've got in the pipeline, you never know they might have figured it out by now, they've only had many years of pleas from staff

People in the UK have no idea how lucky they are, the car prices are ridiculous compared to the rest of Europe. In other countries an NC MX5 2.0 Sport costs more than 10.000€
A good top spec NC does cost close to that. This one was clearly a bargain.

Hate to say it, but top gear history is about to repeat itself for car throttle. No disrespect to the new gents, they’ve got big boots to fill, and an absolute mountain to climb, I applaud the effort, but I’d be looking for a new opportunity sooner than later. People don’t watch car throttle for the content, they watch it for the relationship between the presenters, and now that’s gone, it’s curtains. The best thing the owners could have done would have been to do an introduction video to the new guys, drop the amount of videos and increase the production value to prove people wrong. Any owner silly enough to continue to throw money at this channel is a fool.
It's just different than it used to be, suppose I will have to give time but it's a bit like top gear and the grand tour the former lost it's mojo and never really got it back.

yeah nah i'm sorry. i watched this channel mainly for Ethan, Jack and Edwin having fun with cars and dicking about. The new presenters are fine but the channel as a whole feels soulless now...

Ethan and Jack followed Alex and Edwin. There's basicly 4 channels to follow now: - AutoAlex - AutoAlex v2 - Top Dead Center (Edwin and Will ) - All The Gear (Ethan and Jack) As i heard there will be colabs between Jack, Ethan, Edwin and Will and the AutoAlex team. Which is great! As for CarThrottle, i'm sorry for the new guys, this is not their fault but management had their heads up their asses and that's what killed the channel.
