  • It is so inspiring, mostly for the graduating class, but likewise for this 68-year old retiree here in the problem-saddled country of the Philippines, and who keep on believing on the values of education and service to humanity among the youth. Thank you, Mr. Matt Damon.

    • Please do not accuse the Hollywood stars are being communist. This time we fight the communist now that the virus is the new the Twitter virus and sent our information to the communist. Yes, once again, we have to fight the communist do not fit in our soldiers face is when we return or when they return we are too old to go, so I’m gonna fight them in court yo timers ancestors are suing the Chinese communism. We love the Chinese people we love the Korean people, but we hate communism and fake news. Broadcasters call the democracy now Amy Goodman, and the Turks and learn what really happens why did our president laugh while children were being killed in the streets of Tennessee ask yourself Biden is no president material. The ancestors would like Kamala Harris to be the next president.

  • 8:52 - Damon condemns powerful people for profiting from a speculative and unsustainable financial instrument that created a bubble which, upon collapse, caused ordinary people to lose their money and the rich to profit. The irony is that he himself is now doing the exact same thing by advertising for crypto. He's become the very thing he railed against. I was in the audience for this and appreciated him calling out the bankers, but I'm quickly losing respect for him. Does he know what he's doing, like he accused the bankers of knowing?

    @hunterdouglas9765@hunterdouglas9765 Жыл бұрын
    • You are right about that. I don't dislike Matt, but why do we look to celebrities for wisdom or ethical insight? Maybe Matt doesn't understand crypto well enough. Maybe his judgment is for sale. This makes commencement addresses look easy. Flatter your audience, give the crowd the pleasure of mocking personalities you and they despise because they believe themselves to be superior, name drop a bit, somewhere along the way apologize for your blindness due to being white and therefore privileged, point an accusatory finger at a societal villain, talk about the frightening challenges of the future, and tell the group they are the answer and don't be afraid to make bad decisions, and do it all with the appropriate amount of humility inserted. I know most commencement addresses aren't delivered by actors or other kinds of pop stars, but why are so many celebrities chosen to speak at these prestigious schools? Why are these folks so enamored of entertainers? Robert DeNiro? Will Farrell? Tom Hanks? Taylor Swift??? What? Like Joe Pantalonio's traitorous character said in The Matrix, "when you put me back in the matrix, I want to be someone important.....like an actor" Actually Matt's address was better than most, which so often reinforce "you should now be the leaders of society" vanity, or "America is a torture chamber of racism, brutality, and environmental ruin, so, welcome to hell", which seems to be Oprah's angle. Good Luck Grads, Now go make something of yourselves by being useful to others.

This film scientifically supports the Metaphysical experiences and teaching of the Mystics of all ages. The Observer and the Observed. This verifies the ancient teaching, "THE WORLD IS AS YOU SEE IT!" ~ VASISTHA's last instructions to Rama before Rama went to take over his kingdom. From the book, Vasistha’s Yoga Are we are Co-Producers of life/experiences? Everyone is In-Formation. How do we choose to decide to inter-act with the Earth, with Each Other? Unity is also the second of The Four Sacred Gifts, a great book by an elder, Anita Sanchez.

  • I'm great grandmother with undergrads in Philosophy, Sociology, a Master's in Clinical Psychology, and an ABD Doctorate. At age 70, I will let you in on a secret.....there is no appreciable difference between what we think is reality and a compelling simulation. We have to deal with the reality on our plate. Additionally, there doesn't exist any innate meaning or purpose in either of these possibilities. Many people might call this cynicism, pessimism or negativity. To me, however, it means that we are free to come up with our own meaning and purpose for life. I would nominate love, connection, community, and shared experience for consideration. This, as opposed to consumerism, capitalism as a religion, and just organized religion in general.....

According to tradition, the next Yuga is Satya, the most peaceful, pure time of the Yugas. Where Peace IN Everything, Everything WITH Peace permeates life on Gaia. What is your rendition of a scripture that would be adhered to in the coming Satya Yuga? Would there be more than one?
