Rebecca Elliott It’s interesting because I agree that they both bring so much to the table beside acting. However, I have to say I’m about a third through the conversation and it is not one of my favorite actors on actors. The discussion of their characters and the work the did on their respective films, ie the actual acting, is not particularly compelling or fascinating to me. I’d much rather listen to someone like Cate or Viola who will delve a lot deeper and discuss the craft of acting in a much more sophisticated way. Listening to these two talk about music though is another story entirely. 👍🏾

Every time I see Lady Gaga, or hear her speak, I have this huge smile on my face. I guess when I look at her I know, that could be me. I love her because of the absolute and honest passion she has for the arts, but especially for the people she creates it for. I also know that she is not perfect and is fallible like the rest of us, but I will nod to her today with deep respect for trying to be an inspiration to any and all who needs it, for using the platform she was given to promote mental health and keep kindness alive. Kindness heals. Kindness is what seperates us from the mindless animals who has lost their conscience. So to all of her haters, SHE WAS BORN THAT WAY!!!!

Whoever decided to put Lady GaGa together with Lin-Manuel deserves an award. This is amazing.
Agreed.
A beer at the least.
I love them so much!
@PietreADI Lin-Manuel Miranda has literally more than 10 years of a well-awarded career as an actor, singer, playwrighter and composer. Lady Gaga has Grammies and other prizes for her amazing musical work, already made 1 film, 1 series and won awards for both characters in those productions.
Well said 👏🏽👏🏽

I kind of like that they are leaned forward. I've seen so many of these, and I get that this is a professional interview, but the chairs are unnaturally far apart. Like 4-6" off of where normal friends would sit, which is what the producers seem to be going for.
I think it's a posture thing with Gaga. She always sits forward in interviews and to me, it's actually quite uneasy.
Watch out, in a couple years a Gaga-Miranda production will hit Broadway and we’ll all know the inside scoop to where it started😁

I don't know about underrated, but that's only because he's recognised as a genius. He deserves every bit of accolade that he gets.
Prison Mike; You must see Mary Poppins Returns! He's brilliant!!
The insane yet amazing thing about Lin is, he’s such a genius, and an amazing performer, you’d think he’d be overconfident and also arrogant. But in interviews he seems so shy, humble and down-to-earth, he’s doesn’t consider himself a genius, he’s constantly surprised by his own fame and sheer amount of the support and love from his fans. He laughs and blushes whenever anyone compliments him, like he can’t believe that anyone could be impressed by him. He geeks out, freaks out, and is so passionate over stuff he loves and he makes the most of every moment, it’s so beautiful. I adore that he comes alive when he’s being engaged with thought-provoking material, he’s a master wordsmith and everything has the potential of becoming a creative moment.

Gaga should play Amy Winehouse. She looks similar in profile and her acting abilities are proven.
That's a good point. It would be a very depressing film, though. Also, she would have to get Amy's accent right.
She should play Avita, she looks so much like her. That would be the best thing ever.
She’s too old to play Amy now, honestly. If this were 2011 or 2012 it would be different, though.
AJRA It’s only a 5 year difference, and with right makeup, she would look young enough.
ehhhhhhh no...she shouldnt hahaha no one should be amy winehouse. thats an untouchable person. In my opinion. I love Lady very much, but I don’t think she would do Amy’s voice/personality justice. Just like how someone could never match Lady’s voice/personality. Let amy be amy. RIP

this may be the best Actors on actors they have ever done. mainly because they put together two people who have so many more strings to their bows than just acting. both are so talented and creative i loved this
Rebecca Elliott It’s interesting because I agree that they both bring so much to the table beside acting. 👍🏾
Cierto. Ambos Lady G. y Lin Manuel excelentes. Ambos en escena seria GENIAL 💯👏🏾. ADMIRACIÓN Y RESPETO.
Stefani started off almost...stiff and masked and "professional", but as Lin kept talking, she slowly got more genuine and realized she could relax around him. I love it. 😊
I noticed that. Glad she grew more comfortable
@Fluttering Petal Yes dear, I know. Her real name is Stefani. Wikipedia is free. 😘
Love this. Being legendary as she is, trusting people must be very difficult. I loved how comfortable she is in this video❤️❤️❤️💞
He leaned in when she started talking about her trauma. Perfect Lin. Love them both. Here’s hoping they work together some day. Beautiful exchange 😭
True!
When Lin said Rent was the show that inspired him to write plays, and her eyes went wide and said, "it was!?" What a genuine moment.
Lady Gaga can sing anything from pop to jazz, she's a great performer, she writes her own songs and music, she plays the piano and the guitar, and now she's shown us that she can act, too. She's the greatest artist of our generation, easily.
Nathalie E She can do anything!
One of the greatest.
I completely agree. I think she'll win Best Actress and Best Song at the Oscars, plus Grammys this year for "Shallow" (the only eligible ASIB thing this year) and many nominations for the Soundtrack next year.
Nathalie E and you would never tell that she struggles so much with pain/fibromyalgia... she’s some kind of force of nature
ONE OF the greats, for sure.

I’m a fan of Gaga’s music but what really strike me is how she grow and thrive as a true artist who is so authentic, vulnerable, charismatic and talented. Her eyes are so siren and dreamy when she talks I’m truly in awe.
Exactly, it's inspiring to listen to her because she talks about a true creative process to everything she does.
No need to be like that, you should be happy she's finally getting the recognition she deserves rather than bashing all of those who didn't appreciate her before.
Adri Torres well said. I didn’t like Gaga before because her craziness was not appealing to me. It’s a shame her talent was clouded in techno pop music and meat dresses. Now that she’s not off putting, I can appreciate her.

50:00 "In the dream workshop that I did with Elizabeth Kemp, I'll never forget it; I was laying on the floor, she said, 'I want you to go back, in your mind, and in your heart, in your body, and I want you to go back to a time in your life where life blasted you so hard, that you can't remember who you were before it happened'. It just made me sob. I was laying on the floor, and I was sobbing... and that's what built the trust."
The thumbnail on this video is so EXQUISITE. Like they’re looking gorgeous and I clicked on it instantly. 2 ppl in that room and both are ⭐️s
I will never be the same.
it's so lovely to see 2 people who are so in love with their craft discuss with eachother
Two intelligent, brilliant creators. Love this convo.
Lots of respect for her ethical work, she will be remembered for this, she really is a model in the industry and I hope she will inspire more and more people to follow her path
wow they are collectively so woke, my third eye opened.
HAUAHAUAHSUSH these comments are gold 😂👏
52 minutes felt like 3. Wow. I really felt like I was there. This was such a great conversation between two innovative legends.
What i love abt gaga is she always appreciates her fans. That's why we love you. 😘
Anne Hemilga 💯
I love her look. She doesn’t look like all the other pop stars or young “starlets” that look like they came out of the same mold. She is beautiful in such and odd way and I mean that as a compliment. I haven’t followed her career but I think I need to pay more attention. I’ve been following Miranda for a long time, he seems like such a genuine guy. Loved this.
So, a Gaga-Miranda Broadway collaboration has to happen now, right?
A VERY interesting and insightful session!a Always assumed that Lin-Manuel and Lady Gaga are from two completely different worlds, but it seems both of them have many things in common actually! Thanks for bringing the pair together - that's a real stroke of genius! Looking forward to the birth of a future Broadway musical collaboration(s) between the two of them, and hopefully, starring and headlined by both of them as well...
No because Anthony ramos
My two favorite New Yorkers! Absolutely wonderful interview. They both listened and gave great questions and answers. I need a Gaga & Miranda Broadway collab!!! 🙌🏽
