Lady gaga you could give Adele a run for the money just being yourself. You definitely have the natural beauty and talent. Please come out of your cocoon and be your self. Ed

      @marybethl940@marybethl940 Жыл бұрын
    • @@marybethl940 It's sad when you think about it. Let me start by saying that attraction is highly subjective. Just because I think someone is attractive doesn't mean you do, too, and vice-versa. That's part of the problem, though. Whenever this topic comes up, it's the same names that always pop-up first: Lady Gaga, Madonna, and Gwen Stefani. There's others, of course, but these three are stand-outs (I'm realising now that all three are also Italian but that's just a coincidence, P!nk and Sarah Michelle Gellar can also go on the list). All three are considered beautiful women as bottled blondes but they're stunningly attractive as natural brunettes. Lady Gaga touches on it in this interview: she was told she wasn't attractive enough and would never make it as a brunette because "blondes have more fun". Fuck the fuck off with that fucking bullshit. Just because Hugh Hefner liked blondes with big tits doesn't mean all men do. Generations of girls have grown up uglifying themselves because they think they aren't good enough and no man will find them attractive unless they change themselves to fit a specific ideal of beauty. On the paradoxical flip-side, natural blondes dye their hair so that people will take them seriously and not consider them Dumb Blondes. It's pretty fucking hard to swallow the "I dyed my hair to feel more confident" line when natural blondes don't want to be blonde. Dying your hair blonde doesn't make you more attractive to more men, it changes which men find you attractive. The same can be said for any hair colour. If you're a natural blonde and dye your hair red, you become more attractive to the redhead-lovers (thanks!) and less attractive to the blonde-lovers. BTW, I'm not saying that blondes aren't attractive, nor that women shouldn't dye their hair. I'm saying that this decades-old trend of blondes being peak beauty is counter-productive bullshit that really has to stop. Billions of men prefer brown, red, or black, hair to blonde.

    • @Lethal Chandra. Also agree 100% - She’s far more beautiful in her natural look. So we have to ask, “Why doesn’t she always maintain her natural look and beauty?” I believe that it lets her maintain a sense of Anonymity when she’s not on stage performing. If she looked like her natural self all the time, it’d be much too easy for the Paparazzi and other “stalkers” to find and harass her. But of course that’s just a SWAG.

  • I'm pretty jaded about acting, having lived almost 20 years in LA as a performer. But one thing I've always loved, (maybe addicted to is a better way to put it), is the connection you get sometimes with the people you work with. One thing I loved about this movie is that it's more fun to watch the behind the scenes stuff because Bradley and Stephanie really became friends for life. It was 42 days of filming, but a couple years of work, and in those 42 days, they acted out a relationship from start to finish and did it privately on sets, publicly on stage, and had bare a lot of their souls. You can see and hear their connection on stage: it took massive amounts of work, vulnerability, and intimacy, and I'm really awed by the result. They did great!

  • My father was alcoholic and suicidal. I'm utterly surprised at how Brad accurately portrayed that, it's the small details like the way he creates an argument out of thin air when he's drunk or even his little movements reminds me of certain painful memories. The most powerful scene to me was that when he's on the bed decided of what he's going to do. It's the same exact look on his eyes, the emptiness, I felt it right there even though he's not being verbal about it, his silence was so loud. That scene shattered my heart into pieces.

  • This movie is the real winner of the 2018 Oscars - it should have received all the Oscars for best picture, best director, best actor, best acress, best supporting actor, best original song ... Yet, just as La La Land in 2016, A Star is Born was tremendously and perhaps, intentionally, underestimated by the board. Yet, years later, here the audience is again to pay their respect to Bradley Cooper's incredible work! PERFECTION!

They showed how alcoholism is a disease, an addiction, like drowning, that is so misunderstood. They showed how much an alcoholic struggles like someone sinking in quicksand and the only way out is with the help of another alcoholic who knows the way out of such misery.

They had rehearsed and she knew he'd sound great, but there's a chemistry that happens when you have a live audience and you're in the moment as an actor. His opening lines comes out, and even I'm like, "Holy $%^&!!!" I don't care who you are, when someone sings like that to you, it'll make you go weak in the knees!

  • I'm 54yrs old and have been married to my wonderful beautiful wife for 35yrs. We watched A Star is Born for the 1st time last night and same as O.P. I think I cried full on tears 4 times. I almost lost my shit @ the garage scene. I had to get up and leave our home theater room. I'm no Beta either!! Took me 5 minutes to come back in. My wife told me nothing was shown, so we rewound it and I didn't miss anything. My badass wife was going to pause it. But I told her to continue w/o me. That's how crushed my soul was. I haven't been touched by a movie like this in a long F'en time if ever!! Bravo to All Cast & Crew. For such a low budget it's amazing how this "Musical" and that's exactly what it is imo. I had heard of Lady Gaga of course but had zero clue she had it... She definitely has IT !!! There are Levels and her vocals are up there with the best in a minute. I truly thought Gaga was just your every day average Cookie Cutter pop singer, that couldn't carry a tune in a bucket with out autotune & every filter known to man !! Boy was I WRONG!!!!! Gaga is sooo soulful jazzy, funky and classical and opera ect... My Girl Gots it ALL!! I'm 54 and Stephanie is my new favorite singer!!! Bravo young lady 👏

I cannot tell you how powerful this movie was to me, this past year I went through a divorce after 30 years and watched my beautiful family of 5 dissolve. The two stars have electric chemistry, and the fact that this is a "first time" effort for both Gaga as star and Bradley as director AND singer is mind blowing. Add to that a stunning soundtrack that supports the story and you have a classic story done so damn well that there should NEVER need another remake. Perfection 🥰

  • Its not that often when you get people with that much talent together for 1 purpose and in the most seemingly unselfish way. BC really stepped up and in turn I believe raised the bar for everyone involved. Even more proof of being present in embracing a persons true character and encouraging it, rather than directing it in a way that dosnt serve the person or the emotion within the scene. Lady Gaga is just one of those triple threats, I dont think you can fail with her around. This film is just more proof to what can happen when talent meets preperation meets the ability to be vulnerable in front of complete strangers.

I saw the version with Kris and Barbara when I was a teen and yeah it was very real because we've known people in love that are dedicated to their art and going through downward spirals. It's hard to watch and to get this right on film isn't easy . I was happy to see these two give so much to this project , and one day I'd like to see it. She really is so beautiful with no makeup and plain brown hair , I like her that way the best but I respect the way she recreates her self in the Gaga incarnations. It's so imaginative and creative. But yeah stripped down bare she looks so good. Not nude I mean , but that's gotta be intense now that I think about it but yeah I mean plain.

  • This movie is one where most people will only ever watch it once. It has nothing to do with it being bad but the exact opposite. It’s almost too good and real. It is extremely emotional and most people won’t be able to go on that journey more than once.

  • I watched this movie for the first time yesterday. It was touching and gave me chills. The pure emotion in the movie was not something i was prepared for. I've loved the song for a long time but now paired with the movie, is so much more intense. After watching the movie, I cried and grieved with the characters and then literally watched that first time she sang the song in the movie a dozen more times and then watched the whole movie again. My wife hasn't seen it yet that i know of and i plan to watch it with her shortly again and I know it will emotionally crush me all over again. I've seen the other iterations of this movie and while they are all good in their own way, this one is the best. Should any director try and remake this movie again, I say good luck because it will be hard to top and enormous shoes to fill. Gaga was the absolute best fit for this film and i love how authentic it felt with both of them actually singing and playing rather than lip syncing.

  • " I took my makup off, dyed my hair.. " etc. etc.. Lady Gaga you have never been more beautiful when I seen you with no make up, and just natural.. My heart coudlnt stop beating so fast.. because your natural beauty is mesmerizing. Its on a level that only dreams can obtain. Dont get me wrong about the outfits, they are expressions of yourself, but they take away from who you truly are naturally.

    • You should have seen her with her long brunette hair as Stefani, she has even more beautiful natural hair than what you see on this film and a very beautiful face indeed and you know what you can see it, I'm pretty sure it's still around on KZhead, search for Captivated/Electric Kiss NYU video that's Stefani at 19 years old, she released her first album as Gaga in her 22 years by this time she was already blonde but oh man, she was just like she said, Ali with brown hair behind the piano writing songs, enjoy! ;) Captivated is specially mesmerizing, she wrote that.

  • Stefani & Brad fell in love for real. When he sings, “Tell me something, girl. Are you happy in this modern world, or do you need more? Is there something else you’re searching for?” Stefani always nods to Bradley in live performances. It is HIM she wants, but can’t have (and vice versa) so they left it as a film romance.
