My Schnauzer growls WHen he is happy, angry, grumpy, or anthing else. it's the tones in his growl where I know which one it is. lol
Truth... I've learned to look at their stumpy tail. If they are shaking their butt, they are happy. If not I listen to the types of sounds he sings.

My dog does this when I try to make room for myself in "his" queen size bed! hahahaha
Mine too!!! He hates when I move or accidentally bump him. Then he just growls and goes to his own bed. 😂😂
Hehe... If I get into bed my Olafo will either stay where he is or move to the end of the bed. The best is waking up almost falling out of bed and him on his back snoring away without a care.
Mine will lay sideways on the bed and stretch out. She takes up more than half the bed when she does this.
My schnauzers both do that when they are grumpy. It's adorable and funny

MbseedM it just depends on the dog in particular. My mom has one of my dogs pupps and she’s the sweetest most gentle dog i’ve ever seen before in my life
Our mini schnauzer does the same thing. She also growls when you pick her up, even tho she was wanting up in your lap! She also acts like she is angry when you come home, but shes super happy. Its funny.

I fell in love with this dog when he first came home....now hes all grown :( but still cute. I'm getting a schnauzer in two months, he was just born a week ago and i can hardly contain myself. I love this breed. And i love your videos :)

The lady im getting it from is selling them at 8 weeks old. I dont really have any control over it. I dont want to lose out on getting one, they sell very fast so she wont hold it for me :(

I don't post videos on youtube, im too shy haha. And im not getting a Schnauzer after all, the lady who was selling them sold them two weeks before she said she was going to so i didn't get to snag me one, i cried for about an hour but with some searching i found me a Yorkie puppy :)

When I was a visiting nurse, one of my clients had a ms and the family was so impressed that I could speak schnauzer talk with their dog. All I could say is, "It's a schnauzer family thing" as I am sure you too have learned, that mumbly talk that they do in their own hysterical way.

The Miniature Schnauzer and Poodle are my favorite and the best breeds of dog. They are smart, easy to train, good watch dogs, lovable, gentle and protective of kids and elderly and very sweet, healthy and affectionate dogs. What I learned from my all white and silver mini, Nilly, is that they don't like to be moved or agitated when they are comfortably, snuggled on the couch or bed. Chumpy is one gorgeous Schnauzer.

Awh he is so adorable. I miss my mini schnauzer Nilly so much. She died 5 years ago due to skin cancer. She was all white. She was like Chumpie when she was comfortable on the bed or sofa except she didn't make any funny sounds, if you moved her 1/4 of millimeter she'd get up, stretch and immediately jump off the couch or bed.

I so love chumpie! He looks very much like mine did. He did the same thing and was so cute. I miss him so much. If I get another schnauzer which I likely will I think I'll name him chumpie too.

omg HAHA I have an schnauzer too and he makes the same noises, I have two big scars on my face because of how grumpy he is but I still love him. He's 12 now and it's fighting his leishmaniasis, I really didn't wanted him to spend his last years with a disease but I guess sometimes there is nothing you can do to prevent it to happen on a 100%

Thanks for this post (love them all by the way). Our 12 week old Schnauzer boy does this and I was a bit worried (his sister doesn't at all)... I guess he is just talking (grumbling) because they are both as sweet as pie!
