  • Makes me miss the dogs I grew up with more. Baron and Skittles were as different as night and day, but they were so cute when they were puppies. Once you own one, there is forever a miniature schnauzer size space in your heart.

  • Dogs are cool. It is neat to see them overcome their paralyzing fears. I wonder if the have the realization of their fears being silly afterwards.

  • It's been four years now and I haven't watched all vids yet, but I think Chumpie had a little difficulty discerning each step. They were the same color and there wasn't a strip of wood or anything to break it up. Especially for the top half of the stairs, there weren't any shadows. And that is probably why he was able to master going down the stairs from half-way because there were shadows. Since dogs can see fewer shades of colors, they just need a little help. Chumpie got through it with touch, memorization, and trust.

  • when my mini schnauzer was a puppy, she'd try to follow us downstairs without thinking and tumble all the way down (the stairs are carpeted though, and i'd turn around and catch her). sometimes it's good to be cautious, chumpy! what a cutie patootie!

  • Chumpie has a lot to say. My mini schnauzer very, very rarely barked or made any noise until he was about 6 months old. Now he barks at every little thing and yaps for attention lol I love it

  • Place a mat at the top, on the hard floor to give him traction. Without it he could slip and miss the steps and fall down them.

  • I got my schnauzer at 7 1/2 and now she's four! I can't remember when she was a puppy so this makes me s happy. I'm also getting a new schnauzer for myself and I have to do all the work so it's great to see a schnauzer puppy and how they behave.

  • When I was teaching mine I put them at the top and wouldn't do anything til they were at the bottom they fell and flipped and rolled a lot but now they are pros going up and down all day!
