    • That shot is filmed on the A6 2 miles south of Rushden at a village called Sharnbrook . The pub there has an annual car show which is impressive to say the least . I once saw 12 or more Lamborghini heading north from there as I was driving south . A petrol heads dream

  • The 1936-1938 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic would've been the perfect Nr. 10 rare car on your list. There were only 4 units built, 3 of which exist to this day. One was sold in 2010 for 30 million US dollars, one is quite a few a million due to its new parts added after a complete restoration and the other, Ralph Lauren's one, is estimated at 40 million US dollars. Or the Shelby Daytona Coupe, only 6 built in the '64-'65 period.

  • I met the guy that owns that replica GT40. He owns a lot of very valuable cars and has a massive lockup where they’re kept. Anyway, he has a few which were ex-racing cars which have never been washed. His words were “the dirt is the money - that’s what gives them their legacy”

  • That Alfa is a true beauty! Is it my imagination, or are the tail-lights of the Ferrari Spyder (the first car) from an MGB? They look awfully similar. (If you're only making single or double digit batches of vehicles, it makes a lot of sense to use minor parts made for mass-market machines.)

    • R Michael 46:.. Look again closely, the '67 Stradale ripped off the April '63 GT40's rear 2/3ds and grafted it to a 2nd gen late '50's Porsche 718-Nov '63 LM type of front end.. nothing wrong with copying great ideas.. Ford was/is notorious for the same in many cases

  • At the top price ya going to have to spend, is just the tip of the iceberg the maintenance cost to keep it running. Much like the modern-day Mclarens,the dealers will charge at 200 dollars per hr. to change the oil.

    • Yeah they are too easy to get and not as much power as other super cars, cool ars but not really set apart from everyone else like they used to be, for these kinda of prices you usually need fame and extremely low production run, price also plays a factor but its not extremely important, just that the cheaper they sre the less exclusive they usually are, something like the Bugatti veyron or however you spell that is going to be a collectors piece and extremely expensive, its broken a crazy amount of records, is extremely famous, and is extremely exclusive added to that with its heavy maintenance costs so even someone who can afford the vehicle usually cant afford the upkeep, but that could also cause it to be unwanted and absolutely destroy its value as a classic
