I don't understand your comment at all because yes there was literally nothing there in 1950s when it was still kinda part of Britain, it was not until the 1970s the groundwork for modern Dubai even began. It is like saying I have no interest in coming to America, my ancestors were there in the 1600s and there was nothing but woods. I love UAE, I love Dubai. You only live once and there is no place on earth where you get reminded of that in every moment. Its not a crime to enjoy life and make something out of your country. I absolutely love the luxury you can experience there, it makes your holiday to something special. As a woman I feel 100% safe there. No drunk people, no crimes, no people acting up...its just very peaceful, respectful and it makes you feel like you are in another world. Its a perfect holiday destination in my opinion.
