Logitech G Pro Keyboard Review! Why Are Pros Using This Keyboard?
This keyboard is ultra popular among professional gamers in every e-sport. From Overwatch to Fortnite So I wanted to see for myself to see if this keyboard is being used because of sponsorships or because it's actually that good!

We didn’t need a sound test , myth does this enough on his stream 😂
😂😂😂
Myth doesnt use this he uses the other expensive one.
Nihar Somayajula but it’s still romer g’s
That when he used the Logitech g513 with the blue switches but now he has switched to the gpro
Nihar Somayajula myth uses the gpro
Anyone just feel this mans voice so relaxing
yessir
Hell yes
Like Morgan Freeman
He sounds like he took a valium before shooting the video
Main reason I watch him lol
Romer G switches really are a love-it-or-hate-it switch.
I have this keyboard it aight
I had this keyboard. I hated it for day to day typing. Liked it for games. Still use cherry mx black though.
There new gx blues on the g513 carbon are the best imo
@@onfire4jesus801 MX Blue clones. Still no good keycap compatibility because of the weird key sizing that literally no one else uses.
I like the romerg's
Only thing I like about Logitech keyboard is the quality leak-free RGB backlit. Other boards have RGB placed on the top of the Switches that leads to lights leaking through.
I have this keyboard. It is excellent. I enjoy it for gaming and programming. I was surprised how well it does both. The software is so easy to use. your keyboard sounds so much louder than mine. And i am in a corner area. I haven't used the variety of keyboards to be an expert but I have dual roles here and this keyboard works for me.
would you recommend over ducky, anne pro 2, glorious gmmk, and razer hunstman tkl
How was its keycaps after 6 months of use? Quality of this keyb is horrible, because it's keycaps are made with shi**y transparent ABS.
@@kakhak mine are still fine. I beat the life out of it.
After using this keyboard for a while. Its a great upgrade from a traditional 100% keyboard. I came from the g910 orion spectrum, and the g pro has made it so much easier to get that extra mouse space I was looking for. The keys also feel amazing!
do they got the same response time? I think both are really fast but never really tried the g pro so I was wondering
Hey there! As a fellow tech enthusiast, I can totally understand the need for a clean and organized desktop setup. Have you ever considered using the HOTO Compressed Air Capsule? It's a compact and powerful tool that can help keep your keyboard and other spaces dust-free. It's definitely worth checking out! Let me know if you have any other questions or need further recommendations. Happy tech-ing!
I like how you actually went over what the gamemode key does! Thanks for that
Congrats on the 50K BT! Amazing video! 🤘🏽
Man why does BT not have 1 mill subs like he is way vetter than click baiters like sernandoe and he more than BT like WHATTTT gotta be *The KZhead Algorithm*
Sernandoe is nothing to compare him to since the diferences in content they make. But you could easily compare him to techsource. Hint: BT would win. TS does 0 videos nowadays and just complains about how he doesnt have time for them, he canceled half of his setup wars. He even faked that he was robbed- yet he has like 2mil subs and still growing
But like anything is better than sernandoe. My content rivals how low effort his is and mine has minimal editing but I try for thumbnails and don't click bait. But I agree bt is definitely better than so many ppl with way more subs
3:23 if you're here for the sound testing
does it sound like a noisy blue switch???
You’re the real mvp. 🤟
Imagine thinking we watch myth , thanks for the timestamp
Good that you discussed keycap quality / design which other reviewers seem to conveniently ignore
Thank you so much for the video! Ordered mine today :)
It's like every vid you make is something I've been thinking about getting!
I try to know what you guys are looking for :) trying to make all my review valueable
Brandon Taylor Valuable* Sorry lol.... But appreciate you try to review what we want... I was abt to search on yt for it and I found this on my subscribed tab
I’ve used this keyboard for about 6 month and it’s fantastic. Amazing build quality, and very sturdy overall. Obviously the switches are subjective and everyone likes different things, but I love them, being the perfect balance between speed switches and tactile switches with just a hint of clicky switches. It looks incredibly clean and is very well integrated with the software.
"Just a hint of clicky" That's not supposed to happen in a tactile switch. I would disagree with amazing build quality, you are the winner of the gaming keyboard quality lottery. A lot (too many) people have report their boards failing on them, almost immediately. Also the keycaps are pretty shit, thin laser-ablated ABS that wear out way too easily. And if you don't like them, you can't replace them because of Romer-G's proprietary stem. There are also plenty reports of keycaps breaking off too.
Richard Yu yeah I see what ur saying for sure, like I said, switches are subjective. Logitech defiantly needs to get better at their consistency, main complaints with their products often have to do with batch to batch quality concerns, such as mouse buttons on the g pro wireless sticking.
Use a Corsair keyboard and experience what a real keyboard is supposed to feel like
@@wingwong2411 Ok buddy. Sorry to break it to you, but there are numerous things wrong with Corsair's keyboards. 1. Shit build quality. You are playing Russian Roulette by buying their keyboards. Issues developing, or outright failing within a year is waayy too fucking common, most don't last more than 3. If you are really lucky, it'll last more than 4. 2. Shit keycaps. Again, thin laser ablated ABS, and this time with a font that makes razer's look good. The legends will wear out to a fucking blob in no time. 3. Non standard bottom row, so your options for a full keycap replacement (that you will fucking want) will be severely limited. Getting Corsair's own replacement doubleshot PBT keycaps isn't even a good idea, since it maintains the same shitty font, and is still really fucking thin. 4. Thick ass cable, if it's going to be that fucking thick, at least make it detachable. 5. Shit stabilizers 6. Price. Paying $150 for a keyboard with all the problems listed above is not worth it. For the same price point you could get so much better keyboards, like Ducky, Leopold, Vortex, Varmilo, iKBC, and the GMMK. You may be satisfied with your keyboard, but Corsair is far from what "real keyboard" should be.
Same
I was looking for a new keyboard and I always kept an eye on the g pro. Now you make a video, maybe i need to get it now 😉
Love your videos, music and editing style man. Also, insightful reviews with a chill presentation. I use my G Pro keyboard every now and then when I miss the Home cluster/arrow keys. They're nice for certain programs.
I love how you say micro usb: "USB Micro." 😂
After a while the Romer G switches will “break in” and feel less scratchy and more smooth. But I wish we had customizable keycaps :(
Used mine for 6 months and they only felt lighter. These switches will stay scratchy.
yuki mine don’t feel as scratchy as they did new, i’ve had mine for 3 months, and used it everyday
Daequan Fangirl same. Mine feels better after 2-3 months
get the pro x, it has switchable keys
@@calebsu9433 this comment was made when the pro x keyboard wasn’t even out yet :)
I have been watching you for a while and only looked at your subs now. 49K! I thought you had like 400k. Great channel keep it up.
Thanks Thunderbolt I'm going to keep pushing this year!
Your videos are very relaxing and good. Keep up the great work.
Earned a sub for the great content
These reviews just keep on coming, love your passion! And is that a little Quadcast tease in the background?
See what I did there..
Loved this keyboard but the RGB lighting crapped on me in less than a year, so now I use it as my work keyboard. 1+ year on, it still feels nice to type on, though there is a "clink" when some of the keys come back up to neutral.
bought this keyboard 4-5 months ago. At first I wasn't a big fan, but as it broke in I started liking it more. My G610 with brown switches may take the prize for feeling better tho
Review the steelseries apex m750 tkl!
i like logitech and what they are putting into their gaming peripherals but i just don't like the forced romer g options with logitech, i like cherry mx personally but i also enjoy customizing and personalizing my gear, romer g feels like you're too locked into your choice. solid keyboard but just not for me.
I like the Romer G switches better than cherry's. When you push your keys hard enough on cherrys they tend to tilt to the side and you can feel your finger turning a bit sideways. On Romer G switches, it never happens. Because of 4 different holders under the key and not just 1.
I really like how high quality your vids are man, keep the hard work up 🙌
Thanks Vix!
Hands down the best review channel out there, I'm subscribing!
Casually places hyper x 🎙 . I smell a new review 🤣.
😏 I thought nobody would notice (lying) thanks for watching my brother!
Brandon Taylor what would you say the quietest Tenkeyless keyboard would be. Or top 3. I’m looking for something in the $60-120 price range and have gone through a few of your videos
Billy Jick I know this question wasn’t directed towards me,but all the one is his video are definitely worth it. I own the ducky one two mini, it’s all in a switch preference tbh. If your unsure buy a switch tester and go from there everything else is mostly aesthetics after that. Just my two cents.
Rudy Gonzalez I appreciate the feedback!!
@@billyjick9627 hyperx alloy fps pro , hehe
Personally, I love Romer G switch. They are super scratchy and feel like pushing a paper towel down as the plunger but the sound, speed, and accuracy the switch has allows me to play more efficiently and quietly. Living in a house with paper thin walls, my cherry mx blue keyboard was really loud waking up everyone in the house. With this keyboard. It's pretty much silent almost as if they have built in dampeners. It's a difficult recommendation for people who are looking for a good keyboard to type with due to the fact that the tactile feedback is so dull that it really feels like a scratchy, almost rubbery and linear. When gaming though, I notice no such problems. While gaming, the switch is heavy enough I don't accidentally press them down and the slight tactile bump just automatically registers in my head that that key is pressed even if I don't really feel it. Its super weird and I don't know how it works but the accuracy I have attained by changing to these switches makes me recommend the board. They are pretty fast but the fact that I can just pick up the keyboard and play without worrying about if the switch works for me makes the keyboard worth it for me. Some hate it and some love it it's a pretty polarizing topic among gaming keyboard enthusiasts.
Thank you for this great copypasta
love you voice it easy to listen and understand :) thx for review
this video was pretty good, like high quality audio and visual, you just gave the facts, gave some feedback, and it was short
the detachable cable is super handy when you wanna eat mcdonalds on your desk, you can just remove the keyboard lmao Oh and you do get used to it after a couple of weeks...
I love this keyboard as it feels nice while typing and isnt too loud while gaming/streaming
who eats on their desk? smh ;)
hahah dude flipp it on its side or put it away. Its just a cord man
3:50 You can hear sticky keys in the background
That sound makes me want to cry because of all the times i have died in skywars because of that
@@hannovanbaarle1413 relatable!
You can disable sticky keys in windows
I fukin hate sticky keys
For me it really is the lack of the numpad. It gives me more comfort in placing my hands for gaming and I have a lot of space for my mouse without putting my left hand too much to the left.
omg so many reviews in this short time, love your work BT
Going hard this year! Want to make you guys proud ;)
I personally really like the G Pro. I’ve been using the Ducky One 2 Mini and I think I prefer the G Pro based on the key feeling and the actuation force, for some reason the Ducky feels cheap and the amount of length needed to actuate felt long in comparison. Really dig the review tho!
Thanks gHarmony! I appreciate your feedback on the G pro! That's the cool thing about peripherals we get to choose what works best for us.
Brandon Taylor And thanks to your reviews we get to see products we might’ve not seen before and we get to experience them like you do :). Keep killing it BT, much love!
It is because a lot of the streamers and esport pros are sponsored by Logitech
your vids are so high quality my man!keep doing what your doing, you will be a huge youtuber soon!
Thanks bro I’ll never stop as long as you guys keep supporting!
Lol the opening song is soooooooo appropriate!! I did spend almost all my money on this, and ummmm WORTH ITTTT!!! So mine came with the GX CLICKY SWITCHES and they feel like heaven; so precise, accurate, light and I make farrr less mistakes with this. Some of the finest Blue Switches I've ever used.
Romer g’s were actually designed with RGB lighting as the primary goal - like allowing light to shine through the stem. With that many compromises and nonstandard keycaps, it’s just doomed to be bad. Because Cherry and Corsair signed a 2 year exclusive deal, Logitech was forced to design their own switch. Razer just had Kailh making their stuff when Cherry’s patent on mx switches expired.
I like the Romer G switches better than cherry's. When you push your keys hard enough on cherrys they tend to tilt to the side and you can feel your finger turning a bit sideways. On Romer G switches, it never happens. Because of 4 different holders under the key and not just 1.
Can you do a ducky one 2 mini vs glorious gmmk battle? Edit: Thanks for the heart! Getting the GMMK in a few months because of you! :D
Just bought it for my pc build because I’ve been using a laptop for a bit, I got it out and tested it on my laptop, I had to finish an essay and it feels great, it also helped me enjoying harder osu difficulties
The nice small size of this keyboard intrigued me a few months back so I bought it but after a month I realized the Romer Gs werent for me I switched to the corsair k65 rapidfire with the speed switches & absolutely love it & its pretty much the same size
Hey {{3}}! I totally understand your preference for the Corsair K65 Rapidfire keyboard. It's great that you found a keyboard that suits your needs! If you're looking for something to help keep your keyboard and desktop clean, I'd recommend checking out the HOTO Compressed Air Capsule. It's a compact, dual-function device that offers powerful vacuuming and blowing capabilities for thorough cleaning. It's a convenient tool to have for maintaining a spotless environment. Give it a try!
I have this keyboard and I’m more then satisfied with it. I actually love it.

according to the review that keyboard looks as noisy as a blue switch.. am I right?
This is such a quality video. Clean showing and very steady. Extremely good quality in general 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟/5 stars +1 sub
Another amazing review BT! Keep up the grind homie
Thanks majestic
With them recently releasing linear and GX Blues, I hope they add new G Pro Keyboards to their offerings soon. This came out in 2016 after all, Logitech has to have something brewing! Great video as always

Your voice is really chilling but not boring
Thanks bro!
I've had this keyboard for about a year now and to me it's the best for my use. I've also sanded down some of the keys "wasd, space, 1-5 etc" which makes it pop even more.
Ringos187 did you ever run into any issues regarding the rgb or the keycaps breaking? I’ve seen a lot of complaints about that even tho I really wanna get this kb
My dad got me one for Christmas. It IS a great keyboard. I love the short activation time and it’s super portable which is good for me because I move between my parents houses lots. The keycaps feel great as well. 10/10 I would recommend
Great review. Could you check out drevo blaremaster 88k te and tell is how you feel about it? I bought it and i kinda love it but i would like to see what you think of it. Mine has gatheron browns. Also you get some pretty nice things in the box and the software is alright
pros use it because it's the standard for most LAN events that don't allow personal peripherals
@moo let me rephrase, enough lans use this kb enough for pros to use it occasionally, myth, sym, tfue, ect. all used this keyboard because they had skirmishes coming up. they've even said that's the reason, plus why would a wealthy pro spend 100$ on the shittiest brown clones on earth
I have the big brother keyboard to this, the Logitech G810. It is the exact same as the G Pro but it also has a numpad and the usb is not detachable. The USB cable that comes with the G Pro keyboard is actually the same cord that originally came with the Logitech G900 Mouse. Ask me how I know. Logitech makes great peripherals. Unless you are a keyboard fanatic who wants customization, the G810 that I bought almost a year ago now has been incredible and I know the G Pro is awesome. The Romer G switches are great. That simple. No customization though. There is a noticeable improvement for professional gamers who are playing on lan, just so you know. You didn't mention that in your video.
the fact i just picked up this keyboard on black friday for only 29 bucks is amazing a upgrade from my corsair k55 rgb pro keyboard which was huge
Can you review the Steelseries M750 TKL? IMO a really good keyboard for gaming, but the mx red (style) switches needs some getting used to with typing. RGB is amazing, and it looks cool. P.S. you need a billion subs my guy, you deserve it
Its because the keyboard literally turns every noob into a pro, because it has pro in the name! I just bought one, writing this before I become a pro myself! I'm kidding, ofcourse.
Are you a pro yet
@@tgronnie3436 he is kidding of course
there are using it because in tournaments they are forced to use it
i was just about to comment the same thing lmao
Not necessarily as they can decline the sponsor or use their own I think
they have to use them
@The elephant In the room 'because in tournaments they are forced to use it' They aren't forced to use it at home, however they're forced to use it during tournaments so some pro players rather use it at home too so they can get used to it.
@@mikeross4903 actually Tfue and Nick Eh 30 both have been using their own keyboards and mice at tournaments as of the fall skirmish and CSGO pros have been using their own peripherals for years now
Hey BT! I’m looking at buying my first mechanical keyboard for semi competitive gaming. What would you recommend between a G pro keyboard and a Ducky one 2 tkl?
Hey thanks for the video!!! I was wondering, can you program any key on this keyboard to work differently? I used have an old keyboard and used the windows key as "control" lol So i want to know if you can do that on this keyboard.
bruh my g pro kb is messed up .... the key caps pins broke and stuck inside the switches so now i cant even replace the key caps if i wanted the design has a major flaw pls like so buyers can see maybe logitec will 2 and redesign this shiet
as an esports participant, I highly recommend this for high level gamers, that plan to play professionally and at lan events.
Why there Keyboards that Are faster Then this
@@lucky_boy1905 my comment was made 2 years ago broski, tech has advanced since...
It's the romer g switches. Some people say they are scratchy, but no switch is perfect The square shell makes it not wobble around so easily, and the short actuation distance really is a welcome feature. It feels good to not have to press it down so far I only got the wireless keeb tho :(
The edit on the vid! 😍❤️🔥
“These are pretty quite for the most part” *video of the keys sounding as loud as that civic that rolls through the street at 3a.m.* In all seriousness they are pretty loud compared to my Corsair k70 rapidfire Mx reds.

I got this keyboard and don’t think I’ll be going back to cherry switches. This keyboard feels amazing.
Interesting but that's awesome! If it works it works

Sam Wagner that’s why I waste money on mice instead
Nice video but whats about water-resistance, is it waterproof or not?
I totally agree with most of your arguments here, especially the scratchy feeling of the romer-g switches. Am used to cherry red switches, and they feel like butter compaired to these. I had to go out and test it for myself after hearing so much hype around it, but i ended up not likeing it after my first impressions. I ended up buying a k63 insted. The g-pro did not have a Nordic key setup aswel, so i didnt see much personal value in this keyboard.
cherry switches are some of the scratchiest on the market
Tyler Kheang then you obviously havent tried the romer-g ones

i dunno how people play without tilting their keyboard. thumb is the most op out of all the fingers and with a straight keyboard its literally wasted on on spacebar alone. i can press t y f g h x c v b all with my thumb and can press buttons with all my other fingers at the same time easily. i maintain directional abilitiy more than a straight keyboard player too since my fingers are on a and d more
I play straight but I use custom config. Basically I use SDF to move left, back, and right. Then I press A to jump, right mouse button to walk forwards, left mouse button to shoot and space to aim. I play lots of Quake and Quake Champions.

what layout did you buy? the layouts are confusing me because there are two us layouts
NO! Romer G switches are the worst! Really it's their keycap design. I had the G513 and it was the worst keyboard I have ever owned. The keycaps will break off with normal use in about a 1 year. I got my 1st replacement set after 1 year of use and months later I needed another. There is a reason why the newest version of the G513 does not use the Romer G Switch. Shit, I have a pile of the broken ones still sitting in a junk drawer.
romer g's tactility is also the worst. i can barely feel it. it's just so weak almost linear. not to mention bottoming out also feels mushy
I have the g513 too And some keys stars to get double press problem im really sad about that because is not a cheap keyboard i called to logitech support
romer g's feel like typing on dead roaches
same issue, just sent mine back a few days ago, i'm done with gaming keyboards, skimp on quality and tunnel visioning on RGB in their designs instead of making them actually decent quality.. boggles my mind people saying "great build quality" it uses the cheapest plastic painted keycaps you can get.
