'One Last Build, Son.' - Log Cabin Build by Father & Son.

My Dad and I have always dreamed of building our very own log cabin. When we started, I had no idea how important and profound this build would become to me. After building the cabin from the ground up, we headed inside to bring the interior to life.

  • He has lost his dad and his mom during this build and his wife has been ill battling cancer. Much has gone into the building of this cabin to create a get-away, safe haven and legacy for his daughter and future generations. He deserves all of our prayers and blessings! 🙏🏻

  • I have been watching your videos for years. I never comment, but I have to say this is one of the most powerful videos I've seen. I spent the last 30 years working in construction and welding, and I must say I enjoyed watching all of the woodworking. I especially enjoyed watching you learn from your father. He spoke little, but his actions spoke volumes. Today, I am a 52-year-old freshman majoring in communications, and I just have to say I think you have created something special here. Thank you.

  • Your dad taught you so much!!! Everything you build will still be there when your daughter is a grandmother - should that be the path she takes. It's wonderful that you have all the footage of your Dad - I suspect there will be many times in which it brings you comfort - and pain but that's part of life. He'd be so proud of the job you've done and what you continue to build. Thank you for this - it was wonderful to see it come together so quickly, in spite of having watched for years now. Thank you for all the hard work you do to bring us these wonderful videos. May you be at peace.

The ending, with the empty chairs and your father’s weathered flannel, to slowly be filled first by you and a moment of solemnity, then by not only your daughter, but then also by your wife and a happy family moment gave me an overwhelming feeling of peace and continuity. It is inspiring in many ways. I'm now 71, and appreciate the value of life much better than when my Dad was with me. ' Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. ' Proverbs 3:5-6 P.S. I like the cross in the cabin.

  • I just happened to scroll and click your video and I'm glad I did. You gentlemen did an outstanding job. I sat here in the garage with my son and watched it. Our sincerest condolences and heartfelt prayers go out to you and your family. What a beautiful way to pay tribute to the man that started it all. This cabin icons the memories gone by and the future ones to come. One day I hope I can do something similar with my son. This life is so precious and time waits for no one. I didn't get a chance to build a cabin or a car or anything that fathers typically do with their sons but now I have a chance with my son and promise to God I won't squander it. This is amazing and inspiring. We truly enjoyed watching this build.

  • This is more than a cabin in the woods, it is a monument to his family and a legacy of craftsmanship rarely seen today. In short, this is a work of art symbolizing the love and dedication to family and the skills his father taught him!

  • Whoosh! The ending !!! Very powerful! Just what your father would have wanted... a loving family, together, through and through, supporting each other...all in love....and to know that your father was all part, and still is, and will always be, in your hearts. Gosh! Tears from missing such a lovely, gentle giant, a silent hero, mentor, father, grandfather. 💝 🇨🇦

  • The smiles between you and your dad, the little moments of togetherness. My own father is nearing the clearing at the end of the path. I can only hope he sees the goodness that he worked so hard to instill in me. Thank you Dad.
