The story of the biggest cash robbery in British history, an operation that would take months of meticulous planning - and one night to execute. The programme takes an in-depth look at the night a gang made off with 53 million pounds, and how Kent police worked through the night to track the money and the men responsible.

    • @@jpmtlhead39 Lee murray was a nut case. And boy he could fight most gangsters get caught because of stupidity and greed. Old school train robbers were gangsters with big connections but they got caught. The 5 mafia family's all got taken down so you can't say they wasn't gangsters. Gangsters do crime and get caught or get killed Lee murray was a real definition of gangster with big connections and a martial arts expert. Hence why some people don't want their faces shown because they might be in prison but all they need is a phone and they still get on with their bussines even behind bars. By the sound of it you don't know what a gangster is 🤣

  • What a load of BULL$HIT that manager was involved in this robbery

    • Eh. There is a ton of examples of bank robberies using that method, where the family and the manager is held at gun point, most of the time one guy hold the family the other do the bank robbery. The fbi covered a bunch of thoses too it's the only safe way for them to be sure to get access to everything without anyone pulling the alarms

  • Hardly an "impregnable fortress surrounded by three police stations"! 100 Vale Rd Tonbridge on Google Earth is right by a road behind a bowling alley. They don't half talk some bollocks on these documentaries! "And they'd've got away with it too if it wasn't for those pesky kids!" They'll serve half of their sentence if they're good little doggies so out in seven years to a tidy little nest egg. Think of it as a live-in job with free lodgings and a huge bonus at the end. "I've been saving all my money just to take you there I smell the garden in your hair Take the train from Casablanca going south Blowing smoke rings from the corners of my my, my, my, my mouth Colored cottons hang in air Charming cobras in the square Striped Djellebas we can wear at home, well let me hear you now Don't you know we're riding on the Marrakesh Express Don't you know we're riding on the Marrakesh Express"
