If he is a former Royal Marine, have you got in touch with the Royal Marines benevolent fund? Also, Help4Homeless Veterans are a great charity, but he has to be legit, in terms of his service as a Marine. I'd like to hear of any follow up or indeed updates, please?

We should help our own before we start giving out foreign aid and wasting money on pointless wars.

If Steve got in touch with the Royal British Legion they would sort out all his problems, as would Help for Hero's. There is a reason many people are on the streets in the UK because they mess up when placed in shelter or a home often due to substance abuse. I know many with acute PTSD but manage to get by, its hard but possible if they stop the self abuse. Begging is also very lucrative for said abuse. Question, why smoke after being in hospital with breathing problems, why discharge himself, because they will not discharge you until social services see you and help, Odd eh?
