This is the 2001 R34 Nissan Skyline GTR VSpec II. Heralded as a legend, James and Thomas just had to get behind the wheel to see what the hype is about. Does it live up to its name? And is the R35 50th Anniversary a worthy successor to carry the torch? Watch and enjoy.

    • The FD3S, S15 and NSX have the BNR34 beat with their cury lines and aerodynamics. Noncar people still think those cars are modern 😂. The biggest problem with the BNR34 is was a performance trim based off a cheap family car 😩

    • @@KeenanStyles That's all subjective, man. I agree, the NSX is an amazingly beautiful car, but ever since I discovered the Skyline playing Gran Turismo long ago in 96, I've wanted one; after discovering the R34, I wanted one even more.

    • Nissan should've at least continue the production until for both GT-R and GT-T R34s until the R35 officially begin production. Just wish the G35 isn't a Skyline but as a brand new model or a new Bluebird.

    • @@Joshua_N-A Despite the awesomeness of the car they were not selling as many as they needed to make a profit, so they changed their marketing strategy and business model to become a mass prodocer of run-of-the-mill cars for the average American. They didn't discontinue the R34 because it was unpopular, but because they needed their cars to appeal to a much larger audience. I guess they couldn't do both at the same time.

    • @@Foxx488 What's ironic is that some of these cars were re-introduced as modern versions of themselves (Supra and R35 come to mind) later on, many years down the road, after these companies had already been producing run-of-the-mill cars for the average American for many years. I guess they _can_ do both at the same time now, but for some reason, decided not to 20 years ago. A couple decades can do a lot of good things for a successful company, though.

    • Absolutely. When I first used it in Gran Turismo, I thought, mehhh, it's alright. I tuned it and made it stupid fast as was the same for most cars in the first Gran Turismo, but I still wasn't in crazy about it..... Then.... 2Fast 2Furious comes, more Gran Turismo with all the different R34 iterations from the pure base to the nurburgring monster and I, just like millions of others, fell in love.

    • Dude must do lots of cross country drives or something. A 5 hr drive on the expressways is usually around $100 in tolls. Even then, that’s a huge balance.

    • All the GT-Rs are just timeless classics ~~ Nissan really were in their golden era with these GT-Rs. The R35 is my favourite, but this R34 is my second favourite. And it's still amazing that all the GT-Rs still look fabulous in design to this day. They really age super well.

  • I remember playing Need for speed. All i wanted was to unlock the skyline. Just because Paul walker drove it on 2 fast 2 furious i was 11 years old old when the movie came out and im 29 now. We miss you brother and he will be never be forgotten.

  • I love this channel. The delivery and enthusiasm of the presenters, the non intrusive background music, and the sights and sounds of the car just make the whole experience magical. I thought I’d be bored with yet another GT-R related video. Instead I’m speechless. How you guys do this all on your own is beyond me. Keep up the awesome work! Definitely my favorite car channel!

Ive been idolizing this car since it came out and you guys just helped me from making a purchase of just and car i would regret when this is the car, you know what i mean.

    • The ford Sierra cosworth for years and also it was a 4cyl made years and years before a r32 gtr was even made. It took 6 cylinders and a much higher price and AWD to beat the sierra cosworths

  • whaaaaat!!! this is the One year Anniversary of you both doing car reviews!!! Absolutely unbelievable. The way the videos are shot, edited and you guys review , i was under the impression that you both have been at it for multiple years!!!! Double thumbs up to the Entire Throttle House team for delivering such brilliant videos. They are slightly rough around the edges like at times, the B-Roll video is not focused properly, but for the content we get, we can easily gloss over that. PS - I just discovered your channel and currently Binge-watching as much as i can. Just the 7th or 8th video I guess.
