Roger Hodgson co-founded Supertramp in 1969 and was the driving force behind what fans call the 14 golden years of the band. He wrote, sang, and arranged the enduring rock standards that made Supertramp a worldwide phenomenon with album sales in excess of 60 million. Roger not only gave us “School,” but also other timeless classics such as "Give a Little Bit," "Breakfast in America,” “Dreamer," "The Logical Song," "Take the Long Way Home," "It's Raining Again," "Fool's Overture," and many more.
Roger is currently on tour. Every concert is a powerful emotional journey and his passion for his music and his art shines through in the magic and intimacy that is felt by the audience, as with this October 2014 show in São Paulo, Brazil. • I live in a small city in Portugal. Last year Roger Came here to play in a Festival. I bought the tickets as soon as they were available. However, I had the fear that, as it happens with a lot of big-name musicians, he would come in, play for an hour and a half without much interaction with the crowd and leave, collecting an effortless paycheck (as a lot of Portuguese musicians have done in the same stage). The opening band was late but played the whole thing so my expectations were that Roger would leave at the hour he was supposed to, no matter what. I would like to apologize to Roger for I was totally wrong. He came in, he played his biggest hits with passion, he spoke to the crowd in Portuguese and played for a good 2, almost 3 hours. He went for so long that my girlfriend, exhausted, was begging me to leave before it even finished. It was without a doubt the best concert I've ever been to. .Thank you, Sir!

    • That's hardly surprising. A few years ago he was severely delayed in getting to a festival on the Faroe Islands and began his set at 4 a.m. A lot of acts would have pulled out.

    • First time I listened to this album I was 13 years old, lying in my bed with headphones on. Every second thrilled me, and after the album was finished it took me nearly half an hour to "reland" in the here and now. Since that moment Crime Of The Century for me is the best album ever made. Period.

  • What this wonderful musician has done for his fans is almost indescribable. My wife and I went to his concert in Adelaide three years ago and he made the crowd feel as if we were the most important people on the planet. Few musicians have such an aura and exude such generosity. My wife and I sing Supertramp hits at the top of our lungs on road trips through Australia. Combined we've both spent almost 120 years on this earth - blessed with the unique sounds of the seventies. What a time to be alive! Roger's band is magnificent. His musical genius will live on forever.

The result is clear. Too bad...

Supertramp, Crime of the century, Even in the quietest moments and Breakfast in america. All near mint condition, original releases except Crime of the century. Want to have all their vinyls. Both of us started learning piano cuz of them. This is our favorite song. On our wedding day, i wanma play this song for her on piano and guitar. Studied a lot at the library as a rock star taught me to do. Get smart enough to pass tests and improve my own life. • My brother bought, when it was first released, Breakfast In America, and I listened to it without his knowledge several times, and fell in in love with Super Tramp. My brother moved on to other bands and music. Me? It opened a whole new passion for me. I've realized over the decades that, in my opinion, the best music rarely gets air time on the radio. The true gems are hidden, obscure from public ears and opinion waiting to be heard for the first time again.

  • Roger Hodgson, is and always will be a musical guinness! First time I ever heard this song, was at the movies called, the Little Darlings. Back then... every single film, in our little town was rated PG, too. But, my older sister, snuck us both in through the down stairs fire exit... Then the next day we went out and bought Supertramp on album, and just loved it! Now, that we're all grown up we still and, always will have that taste for Supertramp : )

    • +Christopher Lenney I love this story, I also saw Little Darlings (Many times as I am a lifelong Matt Dillon fan) but this song jumped out of the screen. I am now a lifelong Supertramp fan. Just amazing musicianship and wonderful songs that stay with us.

  • My husband and I attended your concert at the Potawatomi Casino in Milwaukee on Oct 19, 2017. The next day my husband was scheduled for a 6.5 hour back surgery. We both decided that with the uncertainty of the outcome of his surgery (chances of paralysis were very high) we wanted to spend the evening listing to your amazing music and feeling the love that you and the band give during each concert. The surgery went good and the recovery is still ongoing but we are both looking forward to celebrating a one year post-surgical anniversary concert with you this upcoming November.
