Most of us perfectly know the struggle of arriving at the supermarket when we are ready to shop, only to discover you have no means to release a trolley from its locked chain. You don’t have a coin with you and the trolley remains locked. What should you do? Here’s a life hack: a key can help. Yup! A key can serve as a coin that’ll unlock the trolley and you’ll easily release it. Here’re the coolest life hacks that’ll make life easier.

Guess what I did back in the day with the parking metres we use to have? I use to stick a straw into it & you can get it to max out time limit for you, the more you stuck it in, the more time limit you got. My mum caught me once doing it as a kid. It was a McDonald's straw as they were the strongest to do it with. I worked that out as a kid.
He said 700 degrees for the tortillas....? Um I never seen an oven that gets up to that temperature. Lol
Only during the self-cleaning cycle. ;)
I know my oven doesn't go to 700 degrees, I just looked :D
Yes, I noticed that too. ...? 700 degrees? Nope.
You need a furnace. The blacker the tortilla the better
I never SAW it either....!!!
Who else is watching this at 2am?
why is this my life?!
Time was 4am for me
Midnite for me but I'll be watching it at 4am. What an exciting life we live!!@@universallaw8850
this is horrid!
3 for me
Lol at 12:52 it talks about the ceiling fan pulling air up in winter and at 23:48 it talks about the opposite And he has repeated the toilet cover thing 3x this video Otherwise great videos
...beat me to it 😆
Can't believe this is the first comment I came across that mentioned the different hacks mentioned in this video. Many of which contradict.
Apparently the blue tape is now called a rubber band
Yeah, and whose oven goes to 700 degrees? That's self-cleaning temperature.
The ceiling fan pulls UP in Summer mode. Blows warm air DOWN in Winter.
Really -a razor blade on your bracelet?
@@GhostyWins Ok...but. WHY?
It's a charm, not a real razor blade.
700⁰??? I was unaware that I needed a forge to make tacos
Lol
SAME!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 THAT'S AWESOME!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 ~ APRIL LIPKE
Amazing isn't it? Gosh, there goes my gas bill!
Voice: "Secure a rubber band on paint lid." Video: tapes paint lid..... lol
Really -bake it at 700°?
Was gonna say this
Right?? Please don't!!
Mine doesnt reach that high temp
@@flickemily 😂👍🏻
😊😅😊 1:43 😊😅 1:43 🎉w😊😅😊
U guys REALLY WANNA MAKE SURE WE GET THE TOILET SEAT COVAHZ RIGHT!!!;)
How to ghetto-up your life before going to the nearest Dollar Tree store.
First guy presented some cool ideas. Second guy: use your phone case to cut perfect slices of bread
They show us the same facts again and again....
Ikr!!
How many time are going to tell us about toilet seat covers ? And now ceiling fan directions !
Right, trying to fill up the video with repeats. I seriously doubt it was on accident.
Who goes to a party with a pocket full of glitter
No one I know! 🤣 ~ APRIL LIPKE
My trick: struggling with your hard taco shells not staying upright? Simply place a bit of refried beans on the outside and use it to glue them together.
The way a bananapeel WAS peeled - starting from the top - is actually the outdated method. I have come upwith an intermediate solution: cut the banana halfway between the top and bottom half, then make crosswise incisions along the flat surface of the banana to peel either half of the banana.
The only problem is that most people now a days are either to lazy or lack imagination of an open mind to learn something new and helpful. Instead of convenience and disposable.
23:50 for the shopping cart
I feel like it’s the early 90’s on a Saturday morning, and watching commercials all over again 😢😂😂
Did you know you can use containers as containers and legos to build stuff?
NOOOOO...gosh Who'd think that??
If u wait till wax cools a plastic card like your CVS rewards card u never use u can easily scrape wax off furniture with zero damage
Damp wash cloth and clothes iron 😎
“like the CVS rewards card you never use” - So funny & so true - 👍🏼
Oh, but that trick is so, well, umm, ah..cool?
700 will certainly crisp a tortilla! I've never seen an oven with that setting, though...
Congrats to everyone who is early And who found this comment 👏 ❤
No
Hi
Am i late?
Am I late ?
Wha?’…’
Manhole cover is a little incorrect. They're round so that no matter what angle it's at it can't fall through the hole (possibly landing on someone climbing down the ladder). Square lids can be stood up, angled to top right bottom left corners and easily fall right through the hole. Standing a round one up still won't make it fall through.
Standing a round cover up and trying to "roll" it out of the hole will cause it to fall back over the hole and seriously smash your big toe. Ask me how I know...
@@TheRealCheckmate That was a user problem.
And if your taco shells keep on falling over like they do because they don't have a flat bottom you could always secure it on the table using a fork
I usually like to use lemon juice to clean the microwave and less than typically ventilated surfaces. The scent and acids in the juice is healthier than most options
You can also put a heaping Tbsp. of Baking soda in a 2 cup measuring cup and add about 1 1/2 cups water stir. Put in microwave and let it boil for a min. or so and any crusty bits will be softened and easy to wipe up. The baking soda also deodorizes the microwave.
@@margaretbedwell3211 I'm in the middle of home improvements and found that boiling water then adding baking soda and tossing in door knobs (and screws, etc) covered in paint will remove the paint without scratching the hardware. The guy at the hardware store told me to try it.🤣
Just microwave a wet cloth with a squeeze of lemon juice or vinegar for 60 seconds. Loosens food, and steams the microwave. Wait a couple minutes for the cloth to cool, then use it to wipe the glass first. Then wipe the rest.
I love the Lego idea!!😀
Manhole covers are circular shaped so they can't fall into the hole.
Me:uhh I don’t know about this but u sure YOU don’t use fancy phone holder??? Them:uhhhh (runs away)
here's a tip about the drink: you don't need the paper towel. it's a FREEZER.
works WAY faster with the paper towel, the paper towel freezes quickly therefore completely surrounding the drink in ice which cools the bottle and its contents much more efficiently than simply relying on the WAY less dense and inconsistent temperature of the air alone. Trust me brohammoth
Not sure about other places but, in my experience in using shopping trolleys; if I want to have the coin back after shopping I need to latch up the trolley when returning as it gets locked in. Not sure if the same thing happens if you use a key instead
Yes it does
What if you get to the store and don't have a quarter? That key could come in hand.
What kind of oven goes up to 700? The top temp on my oven is 280.
The top temperature on your oven should be 450 or 500 if your oven only goes to 280 that's a pretty cold oven that wouldn't even bake certain things I'm not making fun of you I'm just saying your oven probably needs to be replaced
@@chazeriksen1011 I think it's quite normal, most baking recipes say to bake at 170.
Not to dispute what you're saying but could you possibly send me a picture of a example of something that says to cooking it 180 just out of curiosity because yeah I like to learn things
That low of a temp may be in celcius not farenheit
@@jennifertimberlake6522yes it is, didn't know people were still using Fahrenheit thought that all stopped decades ago. Oh well I've learnt something.
I think that girl needs to work on her technique of knowing when flour tortillas are done. You try to get any ingredients in that one and it will be a disaster. LOL That being said, I just pull off a couple of feet of thin aluminum foil and then kind of crumple it up which gives it strength and shape it into a w with places for two or three taco shells to stand up in the low areas and supported by the tall sides. Pop it in the toaster oven, works great. No clean up. 👍🏻
A Foil is toxic. At high heat 300+ it starts to degass. Ditch the A foil.
How many times did they repeat how to use toilet seat covers? Sometimes the flap is facing sometimes it's facing forward. Kinda inconsistent.
About 3 times
@@tyfredrickson5426 it seemed kinda repetitive
‘Take a bottle of water put it in the freezer and 15 minutes later you have a frozen bottle of water’ 😮🤯 mind blown
22:42 there is also the fact that it with it being round there is no chance of the cover actually falling into the hole whereas with a square one if the cover winds up at 45° to the hole and someone knocks it without realising it it’s gonna go straight down the hole.
...THE MANY THINGS MOM AND DAD DID'NT TEACH YOU ...YOU WERE CHEATED!
Literally just turn the candle upside down and light it. Common sense.
Then wax drips down everywhere, trust me I have done it
Travel toothbrush holder holds small knives when you have to take a knife to work. Keeps you from getting cut
No clickbait. These are actually smart and useful. Thanks!
First
Ya baking at 700 degrees is real smart and useful
If you omit the ones that are 100% wrong, such as the sewer cover one.
You can melt lead at 640° 😂
You repeat the toilet cover and fan switch? And it's not a rubber band but blue tape that was used for the paint can .
1:25 I don't know of any oven in the home that can achieve 700° Please do not attempt to bake at those temperatures!
Yeah...
Thought the same thing
At that point you're just creamating your taco
Do standard ovens go up to 700 degrees??
NOT EVEN CLOSE!!! The maximum temperature of the oven in your kitchen is 450° and has been forever!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Apparently the narrator has NEVER used an oven in his house, or anyone else's house for that matter, EVER!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 ~ APRIL LIPKE
I want to see the house the person who uses all these life hacks lives in.
That’s funny 😆. I’d like to see that as well. I’ll bet your thinking what I’m thinking……🤣
oh yeah
Some of them are 100% false and many are repeats. A sewer cover is round because other shapes can be turned the wrong way and fall in. I've never seen a sewer cover inside a house. I've also never seen paper toilet seat covers anywhere at all, and I'm 70 years old. Is this a nasty city thing?
Fyi the key trick doesn't work with the carts I tried.
Also, I don't have a single key with a round top. Kwikset doesn't make round ones.
I was surprised when I heard that tip because my son taught me with a square key, that worked for awhile but then down the road it didn' t maybe it depends on the store and/ or cart 🤷♀️
WHY ARE THERE ANTS IN THE EGGS-
The round shape was created because of the man hole was too heavy for 3 reasons. 1. It’s round to roll across the ground to move easier. 2. It’s made round so that it couldn’t fall inside the sewer. Squares can be turned sideways and drop through. If it did fall it would be extremely hard to get out. 3. A round shape can be turned any degree and it will still fit the hole. Square shape would be hard and time consuming. I was asked this question at an interview once and I did give one of the answers and I ran out of time. The person interviewing me was shocked that I figured out one the answers. He said the question was never meant to be answered, but to see how I could problem solve. :) I also had a second answer floating in my head before he said time up.
Wow
These are freaking awesome ideas, thanks a million....
this youtuber is the better 5-Minute Crafts.
Thank yoy bright side , now just let me get my industrial grade oven to bake some taco shells
I don't know about you, but I've never needed , nor have I EVER seen a "taco" shell like that. BECAUSE. IT'S A FLOUR TORTILLA !!
THIS ONE HAS SOME GOO ONES!!!;)
Manholes are made round for a completely different reason. Manholes are round to stop the lids falling in. A round cover can never fall in the hole. A square one can, especially diagonally.
Hello folks Butter i open the smaller end and move the block as it was a knife
When the bright side is better and smarter than 5 min craft
Well if you sold a goes flat they have this thing where you can pump the air back into it to make it like fresh again bubbly I have one of them in my house
I like the one that shows you how to eat an orange…
EXACTLY, because someone may not know !!
What a voice 👍
Put the same ones in multiple times to make the video longer eh? Another useful tip
IKR
Wow, this video is handy Thanks
You might have the ceiling fan direction switch purpose backwards. Down in the summer for the breeze. Up in the winter to force the warm air near the ceiling out to the walls and down to warm any drafts present.
I've found down works better in my house in the winter. I have 15-foot ceilings that are peaked and using up allows the air to cool too much. I have a new heat pump. I run the fans on low.
Since HEAT RISES, why would you want MORE up there? You'd want the hot air at the ceiling, forced DOWN. IN the summer, since the hot air rises, and the cool air is at the bottom..you'd want to pull the cooler air UP
8:58 literally just buy a coaster
Just grate the butter to make your life easier.
Today bright side joined 5 minute crafts in recycling same things over.. after all its from the same publication house.
Wow! How cool i will definitely try these!
For the candle if you switch the lighter n candle you'll be fine. Light the candle upside down as long as it's not loose n the flame if the lighter burns best right side up so you can light it anyway without spaghetti
1:09 thats not a rubber band
You dont need to mention toilette seat covers and fan settings 10 different times. So, its more like 20+ tips instead of 50+
Especially since I'm 70 and never once have I ever seen a paper toilet seat cover. Is that for nasty northern cities or foreign countries?
First one . Already used your hacks.
You will find it easier if you breath in before you breath out.
Do not DRY SNEAKERS In the dryer for it breakdown the Sneaker much quicker and look Aweful. INSTEAD ALWAYS sit them on the FLOOR and let them AIR DRY
Actually if you put sneakers into tube socks to dry them in the dryer, it's safer then just putting them in the dryer as mentioned in video 😃
10 minutes at 700⁰ ? Do you call the Fire Department before or after you start the bonfire in your oven ?
18:14 light is out 💡
"Thank you! means a lot!"
Stopped at spaghetti lighter, like you cant flip the candle upside down
Sure, until that first drip of melted wax hits your finger or hand ! OUCH, Blister forming....
@19:50 It's also a nice barrier between the toilet and a man's shaft.
Why? I'm 70 and never in my life have I used or even seen a paper toilet seat cover. There must be some nasty people in the world.
I love all of your ideas, very useful things I never thought of. Thanks
Excellent work
Thank you for your kindnesses😏
You don’t need the wet paper towel around a bottle to chill it in 15 minutes.
These are all things my family did my whole life. Neat to actually state them in a video.
Liar!
This is very authentic content. A similar book I read was equally genuine. "Adapting with Aging" by James Crescent
Thanks! My fan really does have a winter and summer switch!!! I am going to subscribe now!😄😄😄
Except they got it backwards. Read the instructions with the fan.
TQ YOU LEARN SOMETHING NEW EVERYDAY ..I ONLY KNOW 3 OF THEM
some genius ideas in there
Why use a cheese grater for cold butter when you can just microwave it????
Excellent ❤
Many ones are repeated like 3 times each…
Great tips Bright Side.. I like the toothpick holder for Q-tips.
YES, because the box they come in..isn't enough??? FFS people
His voice is so relaxing ❤️

They like the toilet set cover tip.....
7:58 nice transition...
Errr... Why didn't you mention toilet paper origami?.....
Tacos at 700-hundred degrees? I don't think my stove goes that high. I read where SOME do, but I don't think electric ones can.
Am I listening to music or narrative? Kinda hard to tell - music is LOUD! Could have used just the narrative.
Very useful tips THANKS

Anyone else notice that the first guys voice doesn’t sound like it usually does in other bright side videos. I wonder exactly why?
