These are nicknames that children in Serbia mostly get as babies. There is no particular rule. Such nicknames usually have to do with a person's name. Novak is an old Serbian name. We in Serbia like to call it Noca or Nola. Serbs like nicknames. Almost every person has a nickname by which they are known. :-)
