    • Hm i'm wondering about your statement. I'm a professional tennis coach for over 20 years now and i had so many kids, the youngest 3,5 years old, i've been teaching and it is not so rare that kids being able to hit the ball like this. Some can do it faster others need a bit longer. It is very individual an with the right practice which includes al lot of coordination exercises and funny drills for example the contact point etc., most of them even can hit the balls over the big net with the correct follow thru. My youngest student for example with 3,5 already hit the balls over the net in his second lesson. Last week i had a girl soon turning 5 playing her very first tennis lesson. Couldn' beleave my eyes. After a few instructions which she listened to very carefully she hit the balls over both nets. The kids and the regular net :) She might be an exception, but i can't share your experience, that it's such a rare case, kids hitting the balls this way right away.

    • @@goxyeagle8446 That's not the point of the comment.....he's just saying that being able to clear the net at 4 years old is not an indication of tennis career success. It's very easy to see videos of already very successful people and then praise every little thing they did as a child, but reality is not like that. It's heavy successor bias.

  • Pay close attention to the coach. He is giving unconditional positive support while still offering minor correction through voice, and ball drop placement. Parents who overcorrect their young children and burden them with extra technical advice guarantee that the child will not love tennis. This coach is clearly skilled in age appropriate coaching . Novak's parents made an excellent early choice.

  • I wish this was how I was taught to play the piano (started at 4). My teacher unfortunately hit me with a ruler when I played a wrong note and yelled at me and slapped my hand and pulled my ear hard. I hated the piano when I was a kid cuz of the punishments. But as I got older, long after those horrible lessons, I actually learned to love it. I had a terrible introduction to something I was talented in, if I had a teacher like Nole's coach I would have done very well in music as an adult.

    • I understand. I went through the same stuff as a kid from my parents, I wasn't encouraged, rarely told I was doing good, I was griped at all the time. I really went into a shell, wanted to hide, kept to myself and sadly conditioned like that from a young age, it even follows you as an adult and you have to fight it. Many teachers and parents mess kids up.

This is the kind of training that makes a champion. If you break down the child when he makes a mistake, he will be mistake conscious and will struggle to progress but when you give great encouragement and small adjustment as he goes, you create a confident tennis player, a winner at heart.. So awesome. I wish I had a coach like this when I was a child...

    • Apparently he was hitting the ball very well for a four year old, coaches later said they hadn't seen a young talent like this since Monica Seles, another world class Serbian. • Very interesting how the coach is subconsciously ingraining a technique but at the same time helping him feel the joy of hitting a tennis ball. I played tennis and I had a reasonable ability to hit the tennis ball. However we had to learn with stiff arms and legs, and the swing became mechanical instead of being natural. Fascinating how the coach is grooving technique without removing the natural ball striking and joy of hitting

Who would have thought when this video was being recorded that this little kid would achieve everything there is to achieve in tennis. He brings so much joy in my life. And the greatest thing about him is that even when he loses, you will never get the feeling that he did not try. He is a player you would love to cheer for. Because he would give you back for all the faith and trust you have in him with his hard work .

It's unreal how his technique has remained just the same. Surely, his coach deserves a lot of credit too. Without this bh djoker won't have been the most successful player of all time❤️

    • I still think it's Roger, the same way Schummacher is for F1 and not Hamilton. If the difference in numbers was huge, okay, sure, but it's more important to have an impact on the way the sport is played.

      @TheLMBLucas@TheLMBLucas9 ай бұрын
    • @@TheLMBLucas There’s a huge difference. Tennis is an individual sport. Formula 1 isn’t, because the car is a bigger factor than the driver. Everything you do is dependent on how dominant your car is. In tennis, it’s simply you Vs the other man. Novak conquered both Nadal and Federer (positive H2H against both). Most majors, most weeks at no.1, most big titles, tripled career slam, most wins over top 10 players, the list goes on. Formula 1 and tennis are fundamentally opposites. It’s not like Hamilton and Schumacher directly “faced each other” head to head, with no external factors.

      @mikemoggerson6651@mikemoggerson66519 ай бұрын
    • @@mikemoggerson6651 Oh well, then you know even less about F1 than me 😂 I'm not expert but my family is. And Hamilton was given the best car and won with it. Schummacher changed Ferrari from the inside, he was part of the process. That's pretty much what Roger did to the sport too, a revolution, coming from someone who was not destined for greatness until he changed his mentality as an adult.

      @TheLMBLucas@TheLMBLucas9 ай бұрын
    • @@TheLMBLucas that’s so false on so many levels lmao. I know a lot more about F1 than you, and tennis. Schumacher transforming Ferrari into a successful team has NOTHING to do with Federer being an icon in tennis. Federer being popular hasn’t turned into success. It was the other way around. The difference is (if what you were saying was even remotely true, but remember Schumacher wasn’t the one designing the car) that Schumacher “revolutionizing” Ferrari turned into championships. It’s not even remotely related to what you’re saying in general, which tells me you know absolutely nothing about either sport. The guy has blown 40-15 match points to Djokovic on THREE separate occasions with the crowd on your side. How can you be the goat while being humiliated so badly by your biggest rivals over and over? Federer was 10-21 against Nadal and Djokovic in majors. That’s a 30% win rate. He has less majors than both and a losing record to both. In particular, he has less majors, less big titles, less weeks at no.1, no double career slam (Djokovic has triple), has never beaten Nadal at RG, etc etc etc. Federer’s resume is absolutely lacking compared to other two. He is done from the goat race. Even despite being the most “loved,” Fed’s days as goat are gone forever. Stats don’t lie, ESPECIALLY in an individual sport. F1 isn’t an individual sport, and it’s more machine than man.

      @mikemoggerson6651@mikemoggerson66519 ай бұрын
    • @@mikemoggerson6651 Ok, buddy, you are clueless when it comes to both sports and it showed when you said "I know more than you" for no reason and then "F1 is more machine than man" and "tennis is individual". Then by reading the rest, I confirmed it. Don't even bother replying back.
