  • We have the Graham Hughes stand filling in the corner between the Billy Wright (Waterloo road) and Jack Hayward stand (North bank) now, holding 800 more. Was all ripped down and recently rebuilt during this season as there were safety issues with original construction. Nice video.. lots of great info 👍

  • No it's not I've been to Molineux many times from the 70's to today . It's a mediocre stadium and rubbish as an away supporter.

  • The ground has been a problem for over 60 years and remains so today. Your comment about why they had the roof over the molineux street stand remains the problem. The ground abuts the Waterloo road at an awkward angle and prevents any development of the Billy Wright stands. The council has allowed the University to build a new Business school that reduces space behind the Steve Bull (Molineux street) stand. Which is the kind of nonsensical planning we've come to expect from the council as when they blocked Wolves's attempt in 1960 to build a bigger stadium to accommodate the thousands of people who used to come to watch Wolves from all over the country. Wolves will eventually end up back in the Championship with a Championship side playing in a Championship stadium The obvious thing to do is move back towards Blakenhall where they started in the 1870s and build a purpose build stadium. There is hardly a shortage of land in Wolverhampton in need of development. The fan base blocked an attempt to close the subway for a family friendly pedestrian bridge to connect the city centre to the ground. Why? because the subway has lots of history. Fans recalled all the great punchups and knifings over the years against opposition fans. We cannot lose that. With a fan base that moronic Wolves richly deserve to return to where they belong. Mid table championship. I was born in Wolverhampton and lived in the area until I escaped to university. My family still live there. My father a supporter from the 1950s who took me to many matches in the 70s no longer goes or cares.

    • Thanks very much for your comment, I have very much enjoyed reading it and has given me a fascinating insight into workings of Wolves past and present. It's a shame you think they are eventually end up in the Championship but might as well enjoy the good times whilst they're here eh.
