    • I hear what yer saying but have to ask what technique is commonly used today that wasn't commonly used in 07 that woulda prevented Overeem getting KOd in the same position by the same shot if both were at the same stage in their careers today ? In this fight I don't think technique is the issue, I think its the self belief of Shogun & the courage to take the risk of throwing the big shot. Perhaps contracted fighters, in particular contracted fighters to a particular promotion that monopolises the sport, have little or no incentive to go out there, take risks, n make wins happen ?

    • @@kevthegoat8774as good as almost anyone. There's a LOT of skill in this fight. Being technical has little to do with making mistakes. It's weird to even say that tbh. • Shogun before he blew his ACL 3 times was an absolute monster, shame we never really saw him peak in the UFC despite winning the belt & ending Machida's unbeaten run he was already past his best by that time

  • Really good fight. Reem was trying to run from the ground game because he remembered how Shogun beat him down on the ground in their 1st fight. He was doing good early on just like in the first fight, but eventually Shogun got him down and put him away.
