6:50 Hazzor has gotta be the only Rimworld player to eat a self-tamed Thrumbo with no hesitation ...well maybe not the only one, but it was definitely an interesting choice.
Most hardcore rimmers have determined that most of the time a thrumbo isn't worth it as they're extremely hard to train (99% wild go brrrr) and eat valuable trees, which can wreck an early game colony

i have a trumbo's farm, i kill them for the leather, much grass for everybody, but took a while to get them and on easy, i'm play this game for 3+ years, finally i get a wealth and stable colony, but this on easy and doing much research
He living in a desert if he lived on forest or something where trees and plantation heavy at least thrumbo will ate trees there
you'd have to have a master animal trainer to even have a chance of keeping it
[14:06] The reason your shells are missing even after you spotted the target is because the spotting system is broken when targettting these ship parts. You should instead tell the spotter to spot the floor next to the psychic ship for it to actually work.
Thankfully I am in a sane state of mind or else I would be extremely paranoid about delivering the payload.

Yea, but then it would be a race of splitting or dying out. It would be a fascinating playthrough. Even harder without cannibal and traits that have no issues with bodies.

I learned recently that drop pods from quest rewards and traders will land at the closest unroofed tile to a trade beacon! If you build a trade beacon on the opposite side of your base as the mech cluster pods shouldn't fall into the firing line!
Or just make a courtyard with a trade beacon in it in the middle of your base. If mech clusters can see the courtyard, you have bigger problems than quest rewards.
Theres a Mod that adds a Drop Spot, dont remember what its called. Very convinient, same as the Trader Spot so they finally stop camping in the damn Killbox every single Time.
i feel like using the inherent melee skill gene and going full aggro on the other factions with this genotype would be pretty fun.
That sounds like an awesome Idea, theres a lot of Stuff you can add, like Sharp Claws, unarmed Damage up or even Acid Blood so you dont even have to bother equipping them with Weapons.

Ooo, I've done this one with bees! The queens are the only ones that can split, with massive physic abilities and an inability to do violence. Meanwhile, the workers are quick, weak, neurotic and clever, while the drones are tough and combat focused. Very fun play, with a royalty focused ideology.
Ill say you manage something extreme like 400, not because its sustainable but because all is breaking apart and you get into a loop of attempting to maintain them, but they just keep breading more. Until those dying will take over those being born, and eventually you end up with a way lower number at which point you could just re-assign them to different tasks and survive, but call it a day

What if you ran a cannibal splitter colony and used the excess pawns as a food source. Maybe add the extra meat gene from VFE Pigskins?
When it comes to cloning I tend to think of it like this: if you've cloned yourself, you're the parent. If someone else cloned you, you're it's sibling.

The suppressor (unless they changed it) affects enemies on the map too causing them to lose consciousness early or even arrive totally incapacitated if they have some other health problem. Its offen worth walling off and keeping when you have a single gender colony and its tuned to the opposite gender in my opinion as its a free buff basically.

I was binging the whole of Hazzor’s channel today and this was a fitting end to the binge. The story telling is always exemplary
Alpha genes has some good bug stuff but I heartily recommend 'Oops All Bugparts' for stuff like abdomens, bug wings, exoskeleton bodies, and beetle horns
With my game, with a few mods to shorten pregnancy to a day and a few genes from loads of mods, I can make insectoid colonist that can produce 6 offspring a day I think, could vary a lot though

6:45 I had one self-tame like that too... Saw that it was 200 years old and thought if I should sell it off before it dies, since they sell for a lot. But then I found out they live a whole lot longer than 200 years so I have it hauling my stuff around now :D
something worth noting is that you can have multiple pawns researching at once, so long as you have enough research benches for all of them.
Enthralling as always though admittedly was a bit disappointed you didn't charge the horde of bug on mass with every man and child armed with whatever they could find. A great concept colony regardless.

1:10: I think it makes sense to think of this as parthenogenesis rather than cloning, and offspring produced parthenogenetically are considered children rather than siblings. I guessed the population would reach the low three digits before something bad happened. That only takes seven uninterrupted generations, and I've seen colonies run with low-three-digit populations and for _way_ more than 175 days. (200 to account for unexpected deaths.) That time estimate didn't account for the fission timer not starting until adulthood, and assumed that your population would get much higher before mass deaths started happening. Also that Hazzor's PC was on par with that guy who did a 200-colonist run.
Now that there’s an actual bug character, you should try doing the bug worshiping thing again💛
Its really is terrifying concept. A colony of sentient beings that can just shuffle a baby off their backs every month, and said babies grow within days, and repeat the cycle, but because they dont have much time to learn, the tactics become desperate, and rather fittingly - inhumane waves of chittering bug people, rushing the dangers of the rimworld with their trusty fists, teeth, and whatever junk they pillage off their dead comrades and enemies. Would be even more funny if there was a mechanic that would naturally put you at odds with other factions as your wealth and power explodes.

Didn't need the existential dread in my funny hee-hee-hoo-hoo Rimworld challenge vid there, Hazzor... 😱 In all seriousness, this was a fun challenge. Real fun to see how crazy shit gets with a colony growing this large.
The scary part is that even if your colony is in a death spiral... You could've just taken one or two pawns, loaded them with whatever they could carry, and start a new colony while the old one burns down.

Good video! I tried something similiar not so long ago and failed at food production. I also have video suggestion. You probably know Alpha Bioms and Alpha Animals mods. And also a Phytokin Xenotype mod. With a meme "Biological corruptors" and "Gauranlen Supremacy" you can effectivly use corrupted dryads and a new xenotype. They look cool and interesting, would be nice to see a video about it.
