Sakai, Osaka The cutlery culture of Sakai has a history of over 600 years.
Mr. Satoshi Nakagawa, who studied under Mr. Kenichi Shiraki for 16 years, inherited the techniques and factory of his predecessor as the only disciple and successor, and was the youngest person to acquire a traditional craftsman.
He incorporates a variety of steel materials, and from the knives he handles and his high level of processing technology, he creates knives that are the only one in the world that can be finished with a pattern.
Its skill and popularity have been supported by chefs around the world, and I have been closely involved in professional handiwork that is inundated with orders.

  • Would love to have some translation subtitles on your videos. Love the content but also would love to hear what the blacksmiths have to say. Makes half of the video unwatchable since I don’t want what they’re saying. Here’s hoping you provide that in the near future! Keep up the phenomenal work!

Lebst du in Deutschland?
